La.ck of support – At the suggestion of Corel, I upgraded my version of this software. I was not able to get the program to load such that it would work. Corel did not provide support. A waste of money.

Video editor crashes / shuts down ALL THE TIME!! – I save my work frequently, which is slow in itself, but the amount of times this software crashes or just shuts down is ridiculous! It is incredibly frustrating. Very disappointed. I've had this software for many years and have upgraded a few times. I went with the pro level this time. It truly should be much more stable than it is.

Roxio Creator NXT 7 Issues – I used an older version of Roxio and found it to be a decent program so I bought NXT 7 thinking performance would be the same or better. The audio capture, audio editing and disc copy programs are very good - programs run without any problems. However, the video editing portion and the DVD authoring programs are very frustrating to work with.… Read more

The programs crash a lot (freezes up)- and also shuts down without warning. I updated my firmware, upgraded to 16 GB RAM with Solid State Drive. The DVD authoring program is limited to the templates provided and with no customizing allowed. I was hoping to use the NXT 7 as a lightweight video editor and a DVD authoring program when I am not at my desktop computer- which has Adobe Suite Premier. Now I have to go back to Adobe to do my videos.

Very cautious – I've been using Roxio for 10 years. The first version was great. The products became more and more unstable with each upgrade. Eventually with the previous version to this, nothing would run or work. On line help had be disable so much stuff to get it to work you almost need a dedicated machine to run these products. They look good on paper and… Read more

would be great if it worked as advertised. What, add insult to injury the products come with annoying popup advertising that annoys you, uses resources every time you re boot. I've now got a new PC and rather than reinstall I think its time to try something else to do some basic video work. Pity

Roxio NXT 7 - crashes – Was running NXT 5 and was pretty stable. Switched to NXT 6 and never could get it to run on 3 separate windows 10 systems so trashed it. Just upgraded to NXT 7. Worst version ever! Don't waste your time or your money. Time to change platforms. I'm done after a decade w Roxio. Too little support to many bugs. Time to learn a new platform that does what it says and provides support.

Roxio Creator Nxt Pro 7 vs Nxt 4 – Had been using Roxio Creator Nxt 4 for several years. An average but simple video editing and sound and DVD software. It had several bugs such as crashes during editing. Decided to upgrade to the Nxt Pro 7 latest version. Big Mistake. This version had more crashes and more bugs than the last one. Virtually had to save every change you make in… Read more

case there is a sudden crash or freeze-up. On several occasions even though 'save' was selected the save did not happen leading to needless repeating of already achieved tasks and even incorrect authoring to DVD or HD file of changes that had been made and saved. The only noticeable 'improvements' in taking the latest version was some sort of live webcam feature that I simply would never use but was even annoying as every time you opened the program it tried to access a non existent webcam and you had to actively shut down this attempt. The movie and sound editing features were exactly the same with no additional features other than to make them crash all the time. Oh and the new version 'record your screen' does not have a simple 'recording active or paused' indication, so with multiple stop/starts you can easily lose track of whether you are on record or pause. Either stay with the older version or seek another product if considering an upgrade.
