Quite Useful For Work Around The House – I'm sure that a builder or carpenter worth their pay-cheque would have a much better way to find a stud, but for a home handyman who just wants to hang a picture or a clock on the wall this is very useful. It's so simple to use - turn it on, move it left and right, then press the button to place a faint mark on the wall when you have found the stud. 100% accurate every time - no more knocking on walls and then hoping that you got it right.

Apparently it flashes red if there is an electrical wire behind the wall, but I have never used it for this reason and wires are generally in the gap between studs so I've never come across one.

For only $50, it's money well spent.
