Better picture than other name brands at similar or higher prices albeit with limited functionality – If you don't already know it, Samsung are the best LED/LCD TVs. Go into a showroom and just compare the picture with the other big brand names...you will find both the colour and contrast are noticeably the best as is the side viewing angle - showing minimal degradation in the colour. Amazingly for a super-thin TV the sound powers out through the 10W speakers though the clarity/quality is not as good as the older, thicker models that had more space for a decent speaker. According to a hotel I frequently visit, Samsung reliability is second to none and just as importantly is the ease of obtaining a spare remote if yours goes missing. This TV also has an excellent built-in (USB) media player that is compatible with all the major video formats thus almost rendering DVD players obsolete!

Limitations to functionality at this level include a) the omission of a built-in recorder (via USB) which comes standard on most other TV brands including the budget range TVs. b) Only 2 (side) HDMI connections c) Only 1 shared AV composite/component connection d) No dedicated DVI input e) No stereo RCA audio output. In summary: You have nothing to worry about buying a Samsung LCD TV. This model sufficiently allows connection of up to 3 HD devices such as Foxtel, BlueRay or DVD player and a game console. My only recommendation is to buy the full HD 1080P (5000) model if you want absolutely the best and clearest picture as this model is only 720P so the picture is not as sharp as it could be. Excellent picture, colour, contrast, sound and reliability. Nice looking set. Excellent media player. Low power consumpion. Ideal for hotels No built-in USB recorder. Not Full 1080P HD. Limited input/output connectivity. Sound not as good as older Samsung models. Slight unstable stand.
