Horrible – Watery oily goo, no real taste either , I don't remember this brand being so terrible, perhaps some clown CEO came and changed the recipe in exchange for a pay rise. DO NOT BUY THIS IT WILL END UP IN THE BIN. Show details
Awful – No flavour gritty runny gross mistake to buy this its bland Show details
This is the worst tasting runny slop I have tasted – I have been buying this peanut butter for years, when they used Australian peanuts & you could eat it straight off the spoon. Now it is just runny slop that doesn't even taste like peanut butter. Sanitarium why did you change the mixture? When you have a good thing stick to it! And all the garbage about Made in Australia I just read it's manufactured in China? I'm throwing it in the garbage bin! It's disgusting!!! Show details
worst peanut butter i have had – Like Michael B previous comments I bought on special not realizing its different. Is Wednesday after the Sunday I had simple peanut butter and toast for dinner and I am still having stomach pains not mentioning early Monday morning rush to toilet. Cannot recommend this product remembering the normal sanitarium peanut butter I had as a kid, why change something good? Show details
Very oily – Turned the jar slightly to open it, out came the oil over my hands on the table and place mat. Got my money back. Show details
Be careful – I love crunchy peanut butter, and when the normal Sanitarium Crunchy was not in stock at my local Woolworths, I tried their Natural Crunchy. This was a big mistake. The texture is way too gritty and it gave me two days of diahhreah. I threw it in the bin and replaced it with the normal Sanitorium crunchy product. Show details
Just the lying and the crap marketing garbage – In the big print on the front of the packet it says; "Made in Australia since 1898" In the Fine print on the back it says; "Made in Australia from less than 10% Australian ingredients". This just goes on and on and on with so many products on the supermarket shelves today. I am not buying this scraping the bottom of the barrel stuff from the… Read more
lowest cost commodities market.
This is Australia, I want Australian products, made from Australian ingredients, that are grown and manufactured / processed in Australia.
It's like the supermarkets, if they are selling imported bacon etc., and saying, "It's made from less than 10% Australian ingredients" then not only am I not buying the product, I am not going to go to your supermarket either.
And what is this scale of "Made from less than 10% Australian Ingredients"?
How much "less than" is "less than"?
ZERO per cent, is less than 10% - and this is actually a verifiable fact.
I mean why would you import peanuts by the hundreds / thousands of tons, just to add oil and sugar and salt etc., and then mill them into a paste, and then package it, when you can get it manufactured and packaged and then imported, all at the same factory in some other country?
So since ZERO percent is a legitimate value of LESS THAN 10%, how come the management of this company, are apparently refusing to buy from Australian Growers and Manufacturers and use 100% locally sourced ingredients?
Sanitarium is now off my list of food manufacturers to buy from.
Australian made, owned and grown or nothing.
