THE BOTTOM PEELS – The SCAN PAN roasting pan is a go to pan for me. However, I have had to return the pan twice because the bottom peels. The pan must be returned to California and being on the east coast, the postage is expensive. I feel like I am paying for the pan over and over again. When intact, I love the way it cooks but having to repeatedly return the pan is disappointing, inconvenient and expensive.

Best Roasting Pan I've ever owned or used! – The Scanpan ceramic Titanium pan is the best pan I have ever used for open roasts in over 30 years of cooking! It helps potatoes turn a beautiful golden colour and crisp up and pumpkin browns into a tasty toffee flavour! It is also very easy to quickly clean! :) They are expensive but a great investment that should last many many years. They make a great Birthday gift or mothers day gift.

Exceptionally useful open roasting dish – An extremely useful piece of roasting equipment. I have the large pan which I use regularly. The versatility of this piece of equipment is reduced by the fact that Scanpan do not manufacture a lid for this size. This reduces the versatility by at least 50%.

Incredibly Versatile – A very versatile piece of kit. I've got the small classic roasting pan (advertised as 34cm x 23cm but actually has internal dimensions of 29cm x 21cm) and it has many uses. I use it almost daily. I've got a fish burner (an oval shaped gas burner) and when I put the roasting pan on, it becomes a frypan or a barbecue or a fish poacher. It has the… Read more

surface area equivalent to a 28cm diameter frypan but is much more versatile than a frypan and the surface area is better utilised with this shape than a circular shape. For instance, I can cook 6 pancakes on this pan but on a frypan, I can really only fit 4. You can cook rectangular crepes on this too!!

It is perfect for searing both sides of steak or salmon and then putting in the oven to finish off the middle.

My fish burner burns at 10MJ/hr which is as good as any mid to upper range barbecue in terms of energy per square centimetre. Just check the output of your burner before you buy this pan to use as a mini barbecue.

I wish scanpan made a lid for this pan. (They have a lid for the medium but not for the small.)

I think I'll have to go to Bunnings to get bits and pieces to make my own lid. For the moment, I've been poaching fish by covering the pan with aluminium foil.

Oh, and it also works as a roasting pan too!! As many others have mentioned, it is so easy to clean afterwards. incredible versatility and ease of cleaning, not that expensive, only $89 from Victoria's Basement no plastic handle, no lid available, I chipped a corner bumping it into the side of the door (I thought scanpan was supposed to be a bit more durable than this - however, this doesn't affect the usability of the pan)

An investment for your kitchen – I purchased a large Scanpan Roast Pan about 4 months ago and I've been kicking myself for not purchasing one earlier. They seem to have come down in price recently, but at just under $150 it's still a reasonable amount to outlay. I now look at it as a must-have investment for my kitchen. It gets used at least a few times each week, producing… Read more

perfect results for everything cooked in it. Roast vegetables are amazing and the rack that was included is very useful for roast meat.

Cleaning is so easy - just wipe clean.

It is very heavy compared to other roasting dishes I've owned which I regard as a sign of good quality, although some older people may have trouble lifting it out of the oven.

Also I would recommend checking the size of your oven if purchasing the large size, as at 44cm it's quite wide. Easy to clean, great results, excellent quality.

Roasting made easy – A fabulous pan for doing any type of roast. Comes with the classic scanpan non stick baking dish, great curved roasting rack and glass and metal lid to contain your roast juices in the pan, not on the oven walls! Easy to clean, I put it straight into the dishwasher. Easy to clean

The kitchen's greatest invention – The scanpan roasting dish is the most unbelievable asset to the home chef. The titanium coating is virtually indestructable , never requires oiling and wipes clean with a single wipe of a wet paper towel. I cant believe we wasted so many hours trying to scrub clean our old corningware dish after each roast until scourers scratched the surface. … Read more

Roast vegetables are a breeze...brilliant Ease of cleaning, perfect cooking result every time A bit pricey at around $300...but well worth the investment
