If I can give them 0 star I would! This is the company provides abosultely WORST services on lift, I am so supprise that they are still in the market. Constant delay on maintenance job, broken parts took over a year to arrive, and not even mentioning the ongoing industry action which gives them another legit excuse to not get job done! If you can find another contractor, act quickly and avoid this company by all costs!
Please do not use or trust this company. They have stranded and jeopardized the safety of hundreds of people because they refuse to pay their worker the wages that they deserve.

Unfortunately, on 22 September, the lift ceased functioning entirely. Since then, we been in contact with Schindler for updates and possible solutions. However, due to the industrial action and their prioritisation of essential services, they are unable to provide a timeline for when repairs will be completed. We have a near immobile elderly resident in the building so this action by Schindler has caused entrapment of the resident. I have also emailed my local MP and Schindler in Switzerland, we'll see what that does if anything, probably nothing. Our manager has contacted Fair Trading NSW and Work Safe NSW. They couldn't be more slower.
Our lift has been out of service since Saturday. Lift still not repaired despite advising Schindler that we have elderly and disabled relying on the lift being operational. Our building is 9 levels Technicians are on strike so I've been told surely they have back up contractors for instances like this? Not good enough Schindler!!!
8 days the lift has been out of service. The service technician couldn't find the problem.....horrible service. I soon I contacted the call centre they cut off the call. Even 1 start is to much

It is not only inconvenient but also dangerous for those of us who r not as able as we once were. but the lifts r a major complication. The bandaid fixes which r very expensive, r ongoing with no solution in site from Schindler. Our committee r constantly trying to find ways to amend the situation and r copping so much flack from the residence who r, understandably, angry but it is not the committee’s fault. DI NOT ENTERTAIN USING SCHINDLER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

2024 we could not use the lift for almost 3 weeks. This year, since January to now in Feb almost 5 weeks we could not use lift, and we're told that the lift needed replacement part called whisper flex from a supplier to be able to restore operation. Been waiting for weeks and still NIL RESULT. Wondering the part still in the making from a factory somewhere in this planet that could take up months and months. I think Schindler does not care at all as not many people can coupe or have mobilities issues with the fire stairs. FIRE Stairs can be dangerous as well as use on the daily basis. I know residential areas are not top priority for Schindler to repair and services as other (Commercials, Hospitals or other offices). NO doubt no one from Schindler Australia management would care of residential people complain about your lack of after sales service.
1 star is too much – Unprofessionalism comes from the top. Upper management abuse their position of authority, thuggish behaviour which trickles down (not all staff but quite alot). Pretty bad for a European company, you'd expect better.
Shonky company with rude staff – EXTREMELY RUDE CALL CENTRE STAFF AND INCOMPETENT TECHNICIANS! STAY AWAY! I have reported more than 20 faults of our building's lift over the course of 18 months. hours looking for the problem..." but that LITERALLY your job!! Well done team! Thank you for ruining our easter. We were promised the lift would be fixed past night. Come this morning, its still out. I have a disability and cannot walk up and down 7 flights of stairs. Get your act together
DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY, THEY WILL NOT HELP YOU WHEN YOU NEED IT MOST... an absolute disappointment and disgrace.
Shocking lifts and service – I live in an 8 story building with mostly elderly or incapacitated people. The lift has been out for 3 weeks without reason as to when it will that it will be fixed. Shindler now advises it will be at least another 4 weeks before it can be working again. People have been jammed in the lift requiring the Fire Brigade to get them out. Keep clear of this company.
Crap and dodgy – It is happening on 625-627 Princes highway,Rockdale 2216 The lift was not properly repaired about 2 months ago....it is happening again and broken down... They just blame it as unseen parts. Easy, water and water again.
Poor product and even worse servicing – I live in a 26 story apartment block in Melbourne serviced by 3 Schindler lifts. The same old problems described elsewhere abound here - lifts continually breaking down, repairs not sticking and parts not available. same lift is now out of service until a new motor arrives, which will be months away going by the time already waited and the inability of the company to set an ETA. We now have a new company servicing the lifts though Schindler are contracted to replace the motor. The original Oscar Schindler would roll over in his grave if he saw how his name had been desecrated.
Great untill it breaks down and requires servicing – I live in units that have your lifts The majority of residents have health issues and physical impairments and have no way to access units except via fire stairs, which are not an option. Getting parts and competent servicing is near impossible Would not recommend this company mainly because of servicing issues of which is abhorrent to leave disabled people without access to their unit.
Shindler lifts 0 rating – This is my second review I done one 6 months ago about our lifts breaking down all the time brand new building, well nothing has changed it’s all the same still breaking down every week , you would think when a technician comes out they would fix the problem so it doesn’t happen again. I think that’s how they make their money. Shame shame shame. I don’t pay rent for this. FIX THE F&@$king problem Shindler

single occupiers. When the lift is not functioning elderly people couples with young babies on the upper floors are not able to leave their apartments. The lift is thirteen years old and has always been under a service contract with Schindler, we have on several occassions contacted them identifying the problems caused by lift not working and eventually through pressure from the Strata Committee they agreed to replace the control unit since then the lift has worked continuously. It is a poor reflection on the quality of the service technicians and service department that this action was not taken more promptly to prevent hardship to tenants of the apartment block.
More recently we have had cause to complain about the noise of the lift when in operation, almost true to form the service technician suggested that this was normal, they must think that we owners are fools and can be fobed off with their normal reaction to complaints. I have compared three apartment blocks close by, simial lift size and number of levels, and believe it or not Mr. Schindler they operate with no noise at all.
If you are considering installing a lift in your apartment block be very wary of Schindler and their promises.
Poor Reliability, Terrible Service and Empty Promises - Avoid – We have a Schindler lift (www.schindler.com/au) which has not worked for about 4 months. ahead and their customers completely satisfied but they are clearly not worth the paper they are written on. We're not completely satisfied, we're completely unsatisfied.
They claim that they deliver exceptional service and reliability and that lifts maintained by Schindler enjoy an uptime of over 99%. That's not our experience - it's always breaking down, they don't seem able to fix it and when they do it sometimes lasts 3 days before it breaks down again. So far this year we've probably had 60% uptime - not very convenient when you have 5 floors.
If you are looking for a lift/elevator you would be best avoiding Schindler as their lifts and service are terrible.
