I have dark brown hair with about 20% grey and I wanted a semi-permanent colour. Schwarzkopf Igora Expert Mousse in Dark Brown, aka 3-0, seemed suitable for me and it stated on the packet that it covered 20% of grey.
The mousse had a distinctive mauve look to it when it came out of the bottle so I phoned Schwarzkopf to ask if it would make my hair look mauve if I used the product. I was assured that it would not. However after applying the product as per the instructions mauve hair is exactly what I got. It did cover the grey quite well but ...purple hair? Not what I was expecting or wanting. So undaunted I got hold of the Schwarzkopf Igora Expert Mousse in mid-brown (aka 4.68) and mixed a little of that with my dark brown Igora mouse. This seemed to tone down the purple a little but my hair took on a pink hue instead. I phoned and emailed Schwarzkopf about this problem but they did not appear to be very interested and had little to offer in the way of advice or assistance. There must be lots of women out there seeking a natural looking semi-permanent hair colour to cover some grey hair. I'd love to know what you are using because I have had no luck with Schwarzkopf Igora Expert Mousse or with the Schwarzkopf helpline.
