Engine Blew Up within 10 Minutes – I purchased a brand new 2020 GTI SE 170 (didn't see that as an option to review). I took it out for the first time 6 days after I purchased it and within 10 minutes of running it, the engine blew up. The pistons were completely shattered. BRP (parent company of Sea Doo) has terrible customer service and apparently a terrible product. Be careful Show details

Great Sea-Doo – Had mine a couple of years now. Not many hours around 46 in total. PLENTY of power for me. No need for turbo or super charged models. Love the looks and handling. Great on fuel even if you give it a bit of stick. Mainly do ocean fun around Mooloolaba. Just finished a trip from Harvey bay to Fraser Island. Lots of storage on board. Hard to flick… Read more

yourself off into the water so very safe. Only happened to me once when I was hooning with a passenger. All good.Just swam back to the jets and climbed on. Only fault is seat discoloured slightly .I have the lime green seat. Approached Sea Doo but they said it wasn't covered under warranty. I keep it under it's cover so really didn't understand why it faded slightly. All in all great little ski.

Fantastic All Rounder – The Sea doo GTI 130 is supposedly the entry level full size jet ski above the new 800 Spark. I have both skis so see my other review on the Spark. The GTI though is in my opinion far and away better than the Kawasaki and Yamaha rivals. Why? Well firstly it looks great in whits black with orange highlights, but most important for us is the huge… Read more ·  1

storage up front that eats what's available in the others. Aftermarket you can get a staorage bin that pulls out and is waterproof or just do as we do throw everything in, anchor line, day picnic, food, drinks and supplies.

As for riding performance the 130 has plenty of power for most applications. It has sport and eco mode for power or fuel consumption. Carries 60l which is a full day riding. It is very dry and stable in even pretty rough choppy conditions. My mates take theirs out into the open water but I just cruise around the Gold Coast Broardwater QLD Australia where there is hundreds of miles of cruising. Our area has a 40 knot speed limit but this ski will do well over that if your inclined to go hard. We don't and 40 is plenty for most people.

The Braking and reverse system is fantastic and not on the rivals. It makes stopping in a hurry and docking a breeze. Brakes and Reverse, Looks sexy, Very comfortable, rides well is [censored word removed] conditions, good on fuel, lots of storage, can pull skiers no problem.
