Awesome Ride in Rough Conditions – 2015, purchased 4/2020 with 54 Hours, It does 76 MPH easily in Choppy Galveston Bay, I spoke to a guy on a 2020 300 that was thrown off at 50
SeaDoo GTX Limuted iS 260 – Purchased a 2014 Sea Doo GTX Limited iS 260 in Feb 2014. It has 94 hours on it and the blower need to be rebuilt about $800 bucks. It also has a year left on the OEM warranty which dose not cover anything including this. Very upset that I payed for RBI's top of the line Sea Doo and now it is about to take a fall on me. And RBI will not buy back they're worthless warranty.
April 6th 2018 Update: Sea Doo GTX Limited vs YamahaGP1800
Last year I wrote a review on the Sea Doo GTX Limited iS 260 and how it was not a very good sky, will I have come up with the fix trade it in on a Yamaha Wave runner. Yamaha is a way better sky, extremely reliable and will out preform and SeaDoo. Do not waste your time even looking at the SeaDoo it is nothing more than a very expensive piece of junk and the GP 1800 will run circles and around the SeaDoo all day long. Period!!!
Superior Jet Ski – Having now owned a Honda and a Yamaha jet ski i recently purchased the top of the range Seadoo GTX Limited 260 HP. The machine is extremely stable, very comfortable to sit and ride long distances and has more power than you will ever need or want in a cruising machine. It comes with an automatic seat suspension system which is awesome. The Computer systems and readouts are very comprehensive but not entirely intuitive. I find it very difficult to get the computer to revert to auto setting after having applied some manual configuration during a ride. Very frustrating when on the water in sunlight and the icons and computer setting readouts are hard to see. This could be improved. The hull is a gem for cruising and also handles very well in sport mode but this is not a racer and I would personally not recommend this craft if you wish to take up jet ski racing. It just is not designed for that (having said that it would perform admirably i suspect) type of activity. The supercharged engine is a dream with incredible acceleration and very quiet as well. Fuel usage is at a premium but that is the trade off for power. It does have eco and cruising modes to minimize fuel burn on those longer trips. This is a great machine and tops out I think any competition in this class, as I cant really think of a competitor that even makes anything like it. The one real downside is the extreme lack of storage space as the seat suspension system eliminates the space normally available for storage. However you do get used to this and can make do for all your needs on most trips with the storage that is available. A great personal water craft that is safe and has some real usable creature comforts. Well done Seadoo !
