insurer wasn't happy with the report and sent another service company - Select Appliance Services - to reassess the problem. Rob, the service engineer quickly diagnosed the issue and within days the machine was collected and repaired in the workshop. The repair included a new stainless steel drum which was showing signs of early corrosion. We were very happy with Rob's work and his punctuality and professionalism. Select Appliance Services will be our first port of call with any future appliance issues. Thank you Rob.
Follow-up · We missed having the dryer for four weeks given it was a wet winter in Perth. We used a local laundromat which worked out well. Our biggest surprise was how long it took to get the extended warranty insurer to act. Probably wouldn't use an extended warranty in the future but rather go direct to the manufacturer using Australia's consumer laws.
Worst services and liars – If I had negative stars I would give that to Select Appliance for lack of integrity. Their rep lied to me at my place and written something else in the report to manufacturer. The service knowledge doesn’t seem to be at par as the technician was rushing and completed the investigation in less than 3 minutes. I would highly suggest to stay away from these guys especially when equipment manufacturers assign service jobs to this mob in Perth area.

kind of business behaves like this repeatedly such that several customers complain? Perhaps we should have guessed from the state of his business premises that he operates out of total chaos. Small business success relies on three things: Quality, price and service. If you can't meet those three then you may as well forget it and go home. We are not amused.
They completely forgot about me – I arranged to have the technician come out to fix my oven. He was prompt and friendly. He said he needed to order in a part. This was shortly before Christmas so he said it could take some time to get the part. I called back in March and the lady in the office said she'd check with the Technician and get back to me. heard so I called again. Then the office lady said they had forgotten to order the part! 4 months had now passed. They even needed the model number of the oven to order the part... There was no way I was going to continue to use their services, so I got out before it cost me any money.

Atrocious customer service - treat customers like crap – Absolutely disgusting "customer service". works. They never attempted to call me once, just booked me in for Thursday without confirming with me. What kind of a company is so rude and presumptuous that they don't even call their customer to book an appointment? They were hired by my real estate agent to come fix my dishwasher, not by me.
So I just called and told them Thursday doesn't work but tomorrow does, and that tomorrow morning would work. He then laughed at me saying I can't just call one day before and expect them to come out the next day? Wow, rude. I then said I thought it was terrible customer service to not even call the customer to book an appointment, and just assume I will be home on Thursday afternoon. And he argued with me that it's not terrible customer service because someone tried to reach me on the phone but couldn't (no one ever called me, that is a lie).
Then he told me he wouldn't service me and to find someone else and hung up the phone on me! Absolutely atrocious attitude. I cannot believe a company would behave like that towards customers. If this company were anywhere else besides Australia, it would be out of business within a month. Thanks for treating a customer like total crap.
Great service – I contacted select appliances for a warranty issue after I dealt with two other service agents who were no help at all. They were helpful and fast, keeping in contact before and after we received our part.
Faultless – We used Select Appliance Services when our dishwasher was in need of repair and we honestly could not find fault. diagnosed the issue and had our machine up and running in no time. He explained everything along the way, answered all of our questions and gave us a very fair price.
I don't know what the previous reviewer is on about but we found the whole appointment to be professional, on time and very fairly priced.
We couldn't be happier and would not hesitate to use them again and recommend to all our friends who are in need of quality workmanship and a fair price.

Don't select Select Appliance Services – Select Appliances Services charged $99 to inspect our dishwasher and diagnose a problem with the seals which needed a follow up visit to replace. Fair enough. arranged appointments the technician simply didn't turn up. My wife works so on each occasion she had come home to wait for the technician who didn't turn up.There was no phone call from the technician to cancel the appointment or change the time. To make matters worse the technician doesn't carry a mobile phone so there was no ability to call to find out where he was. The final straw was yesterday when an appointment was made for 4.30, my wife got home at 4.20 to let him in and there was a card in the door to say he'd been and gone!
I've had some poor service in my time but this takes the cake. I suspect I'll have to sacrifice my $99 and go elsewhere.
So if anyone else is thinking of using Select Appliances Services....don't !!
