Selleys Shoe Fix

Followed the instructions. Clamped the part for 3 days. 1st wear it came apart. I guess I'd say it doesn't work. Show details
Selley’s Shoe Fix truly delivers. After my hiking boot sole came off post-rainy treks, we applied the glue with a plastic picnic knife and having no clamps just wedged the shoe overnight against the wall (on a heated bathroom floor). By morning, the bond was solid. I hiked the steep rocky, wet Rob Roy Glacier Track the next day—no separation, no leaks. Remarkably effective in tough conditions. Highly recommended! Show details · 1
Clamp! – Clamped shoes and left for 24 hours. Result, perfect! Would definitely recommend this product! Show details · 1
Tube is leaking – I recently purchased this product, and unfortunately, it was a big disappointment. I noticed that it had leaked inside the package and ruined my table runner. The liquid seeped through, leaving stains and making it unusable..
Doesn't work – I purchased some new rubber soles for my boots - followed the instructions on the glue and the soles just peeled off the next day. Don't waste your money. Show details
Worked well for my dancing heels – The soles on my favourite pair of dancing heels finally decided to fall off (mid dance, of course!) after 4 years. Ironically just two days before that I'd found a tube of Selleys shoe fix that had been MIA in my art cupboard, so I stuck the soles back on, left them to their bonding over the weekend and voila, good as new. They've been back on the dance floor many times since then. Show details
Follow the instructions for best results – My wife’s heels suffered a dire accident and dislodged at the base. I have fixed the shoes using Selleys Shoe fix and happy with the results, so is she! Recommend that you make sure the surface is clean before sticking. If it’s dirty then you’re sticking dirt to dirt and it won’t last. I also left the glue for 45 seconds to get tacky before… Read more
sticking the two surfaces together. Read all the reviews and think others are using this product without following directions. Also held the glue together for a while to ensure it stuck.
Stay away from it, save your money – Don't know where these positive feedbacks from but definitely won't recommend it to any person. It's the worst product you can get from woolworths which helps nothing on fixing your shoes. Show details
Rip-off ! – Cleaned adjoining areas carefully, even scuffed with sandpaper on second try does NOT stick. $8.95 rip off. Show details
Great Product if used right – Old hiking shoes soles were almost completely falling off. With the help of some YouTube videos I used Shelley’s shoe glue to stick them back on, and have been on multiple hikes since without them showing any signs of the glue failing. If you use the right technique then it should work well. I definitely was sceptical due to the other reviews, but I suspect that it probably wasn’t used properly. Show details
Great product – Have used this product many times on my dirt bike boots over the last 10 years and its been the only thing keeping them together, I always clamp or tape and use plenty of glue. Clean with solvent before bonding. highly recommended. Show details
Horrible stuff – wouldn't even stick a leaf together yet alone shoes try to fix a pair of Nikes and would not stay stuck whatsoever used H half a tube almost on the tiniest bit and still it did not stick would not waste my time or money again buying this product Show details
Buy contact adhesive instead – I wanted to re-heel some shoes so instead of buying regular contact adhesive, I thought I should buy a product that says its specifically for this task. I followed the instructions to the letter as I wanted a good result but this product just does not stick. 24 hours after gluing the soles just fell off when I went to trim the heels. I would stick to regular contact adhesive if I were doing this again. Show details

This will not stick your show back together. Don’t waste your money – Didn’t even last one day. I followed the directions carefully and the toe of the shoe sole came undone first day of use. I dried and cleaned the surface also but still did not stick. Show details
Don't waste your money – Tried to repair gumboots strictly following instructions and even gave it a couple of extra days to fully cure to make sure. Patches and glue itself just peeled straight off.
So far so good – I bought some cheap runners for dog walking a while ago and they alway get wet from dew etc. Predictably, a sole started coming off after a month or so so I glued it up with this stuff. That was a couple of months ago, it’s still fine and I am about to fix the other one Show details
Fixed on the go – Walking to work and my blundstones broke away fro the heel. Grabbed the Selleys shoe fix and was ready to go in a few hours. Will get longer wear out of these shoes now. Show details
Fixed golf shoes just fine – My old golf shoes were losing their soles. They were not broken or anything, just the soles starting to come off. So I took them both off as much as I could and then applied generous amounts of the shoe fix and then clamped them together and left for a few days. That was over 2 months ago and the shoes are going fine. The soles are both rock solid. The shoe fix product worked great. Show details
Doesnt work at all – The shoe glue is absolutely terrible and doesn't work in the slightest. The sole of my left shoe started to come off so I went out and bought Selly's glue. I applied it as instructed, after a few days the entire sole of my shoe came off. Very disappointed, they are only out to get your money for faulty goods.
Seems to work on runners/sneakers – I'm old enough to remember when sneakers 'wore out' ...nowadays they seem to fall apart, while the sole still has plenty of wear left. Having tried everything from various silicons (not enough bonding strength) to construction adhesives (too rigid) without success I tried this Shoefix. About $6 at Bunnings. (Yes, I agree with other reviewers… Read more
...Selley's products can be 'hit and miss' !) . Anyway with my runners I seem to find either the 'toe' or the sole becomes detached, and I've had some success with Shoefix. You do need to be generous in your application and a bit creative with clamps etc while it dries. But it has worked ! Note - sometimes I find the glue actually works .... but then after time the sneaker material itself delaminates again. That's not Selley's fault. That's just the way it is in this disposable world. Good luck with your sneaker repairs.
Same – have given up on all Selley products. They never work as promised. Now I always buy the US or Euro adhesives. As one invests so much time /effort in a repair, the disappointment factor gets 'squared'.
"Selleys" Doesn't Always Work – Wanted to get a bit more life out of a pair of work boots and this product was recommended to me by a sales person. After following the instructions and letting the glue dry for 5 days I tried out my boots. They lasted about a week before they were pretty much in the condition they were in when I tried repairing them. Maybe this stuff is… Read more
suitable for other applications e.g dress, shoes, etc. but to have the repair last for only 1 week on my boots, it's a fail for mine.
