Sennheiser Wireless Microphone System XSW 2-835
VerifiedMPNs: XSW2-835 and XSW2-835-A1 review
Not Fantastic But Fair – I recently bought Sennheiser XSW2-835-A Wireless Handheld Microphone for a place of worship. I had big expectation about Sennheiser products because this is a big brand. However installation of it to the sound system gave me a bit of trouble. First of all, the sound did not seem to be very crisp as I had expected, but was similar to the cheaper microphone that the place of worship already had. Secondly, as soon as the switch on the microphone was turned off, there came very loud noise from the loudspeakers. There was no instruction in the operating manual how to resolve such issues. I had to resort to Google search to find a solution to this issue. The issue was resolved by finding answers from Google search. It seems to me that this is likely to be common issue with Sennheiser's wireless microphone systems. Sennheiser should have provided solutions to such issues in a troubleshooting documentation in the operating manual.
The on/off switch in the microphone is too small and inconveniently located in a cavity on the microphone which is another 'cons' of it. Finally, the operating manual is poor as it does not contain a description of how to change frequencies in the receiver and synchronize that with the transmitter.
Because of all these issues, I would give it only two stars. I hope Sennheiser people read my review and improve.
