Outstanding service by Vivek. Service station and shop very clean. Staff extremely friendly. Went out of their way to assist me doing my tyres. Nothing was too much trouble. Excellent.

Shell in Bright Victoria has a cheaper price of diesel advertised on their large electronic street sign to that which comes up on the bowser and you pay for. I complained and the owner/operator rudely told me that there are two prices for… Read more

diesel...however there is no way of being aware of this until it is being pumped into your car when you can then read it on the pump... another reson for not going to Shell!

Follow-up  · Yes I didnt buy as much fuel as I was being charged more than the advertised price. The owner was unhelpful and said there two prices for diesel and the price per litre is shown on the screen on the pump - however this screen is only activated when the pump starts pumping! Signage indicating two vastly different prices for diesel shown have been on display. Owner wasn't interested in resolving this issue.

During my fill-up at this station tower, the advertised price said: "65.9c/l for Shell Unleaded 95" then, noticed all A ALL the prices were "missing" on the bowser screen until I'm inserting my card to pay and the price jumps to 20c/l MORE! I asked the young lady cashier "why" - she said "there's a problem and the boss is dealing with it" ! Won't be going back to the "Reddy Rip-Off afta that explanation!!

I went to pay for my 2 black forest chocolate bars, and '[Name Removed]' (the cashier) took my 20 dollars, gave 8 dollars back, and then he said he has to go get some more change and I have to wait. He took MY CHOCOLATE (thats right, my chocolate) into the storeroom, and he came out with 2 fruit and nut bars!! I cleary stated that this was not… Read more

I went to Reddy Express Coffs Harbour and waited at the petrol bay for the pump to be reset noticing the lady was actually behind the counter and looking straight at the console. After a few minutes of waiting, I saw the lady remaining at the counter, but she didn't respond to the triggering of the reset button. I went into the shop and asked… Read more

whether the service lady wanted my custom or should I go elsewhere. The reply was that she was busy doing other duties,so I left and went elsewhere. The Reddy Empress station is the most expensive in Coffs area and its major line of business is the supply of petrol. If you are looking for good service and petrol that is not the most expensive in town, stay well clear of Shell Reddy Express, Copffs Harbour.

Shell Mentone often runs outta stock and too often the coffee machine isn't working. Too often I have to scan my Flybuys card like 2 or 3 times before it works which isn't satisfactory imo.

The manager of the Shell service station at the corner of North Lake Rd and Marmion St, Myaree, WA, has no communication skills. He’s curt, bordering on plain rude, and rarely says hello or goodbye. I often see him out the back having a smoke. After being a customer and spending lot of money there over the past 8 years, I’m just fed up with his unfriendly demeanour. How he got a job in the service industry is anyone’s guess.

Stopped to get unleaded as sign stated unleaded 165.9. Put in $50 worth then noticed price on bowser 185.9. I queried this with cashier and she just laughed then looked at another employee who states it says unleaded 91. I said your wrong it just says unleaded and he just shrugs and says what can we do? Manager comes out and says same thing ,… Read more

unleaded 91. I say look at the sign, unleaded 165.9, not 91. This arrogant person named harry then says well it doesn't say 95 either! I said its deceptive and misleading and I would contact head office and they both just said do what you like! attempted to fill out a complaints form with shell but its impossible because you only have a small amount of letters in the form to use. No more shell for me when they have arrogant employees like this two who wouldn't know manners or customer service. Well done shell!

Every second person is being ripped off – The scammers at Shell Tarragindi are just the same as BP Sunnybank and Salisbury Night Owl, they are intentionally overcharging at the register for fuel, and for items from the shop. They are getting every customer they can. If you go here.....double check, every time! i have been scammed by all of these service stations numerous times and this needs to stop!

Petrol price gouge – Shell Brisbane Airport Service Depot. This petrol station is used by countless folks, domestic and international, returning hire cars to airport drop off. I filled with unleaded in regional QLD for approx $1.98 per litre. This servo was $2.46 per litre, an absolute rip off and price gouge from a business that knows gullible tourists don’t know better. I have advised the ACCC and waiting for a reply.

Awful 98 fuel quality – V Power in Olsen Ave in absolutely Garbage. Since Viva Energy took over the quality has been dreadful. My car backfires, chugs and splutters. Drained the tank and used BP ultimate. Car immediately fixed.

Don't Go to Shell at North Rocks!!! – WARNING!!! DO NOT GO to North Rocks (SHELL) NSW. Manipulating the petrol pumps. UNETHICAL and WRONG. Times are tough but has no right to ripping off customers and get away with it . Make sure to check your metres before you drive away because you will be leaving with empty tank.

Shell Card is awful and wastes your money – Never ever use a Shell Card. Opaque, poor service, refusal to close account, then continued transaction fees taken from your debit card. The cards are actually administered by Viva Energy. Shell and Viva obvi don't talk to each other because any account arrears triggers a suspension of account and any payment of said arrears does not trigger… Read more

Wrongfully accused of theft – Good evening Shell. This morning i was travelling and stopped in at Shell service station in Beerwah to grab some fuel. At precisely 7 52am I purchased my fuel, paid in full as you can clearly see in attached picture. At 9 27am I received the attached text message from QPS stating that I drove off without paying for my fuel at 7 53am. I rang your… Read more

incompetent cashier who still tried to accuse me of not paying for my fuel and only paying for the pie and sausage roll I had also purchased, I know there is inflation happening in our country however, I would definitely not pay $132.25 for a pie and a sausage roll, I clearly stated multiple times I had proof of my purchase and would be more than happy to send through said proof, the incompetent cashier then stated that she would review the footage again, why was this not viewed accurately to begin with? After continuously telling said incompetent cashier that I definitely paid she then “ever so kindly” believed me and would remove the QPS report. Upon my return travel, I stopped in at the service station at 4pm and spoke to said incompetent cashier via her colleagues phone, apparently said incompetent cashier is a manager and has been working in this service station for 7yrs? I was informed that the QPS report was removed after the phone call I had made this morning. This is completely unacceptable, i understand that you would have drive offs etc but to not check the footage accurately and outright accuse someone of theft and involve the QPS is not ok!

Perfect For Standard Everyday Vehicles – So many people when they pull up to the fuel bowser look at the many handles on offer and become overwhelmed by the options. Many will tell you the you should only use Premium Fuel and that is just not true. When you open the fuel door you should see a sticker that will either have the fuel you can use. If it says E10 compatible 91 is for you. … Read more

Although E10 may be more attractive as it is usually cheaper it will use more fuel due to it having less energy content over regular unleaded. Shell RON91 is the best option for the everyday driver if your vehicle stated Regular Unleaded Petrol(E10 Compatible) not only is it safe for your engine it will also be the best saving over all. Don’t waste money filling up with 95 or 98 as it won’t make your engine more powerful and generally won’t give you much more range you may only get an extra 20km. I’ve run tests with a 2021 Mazda 3 2.0l direct Injection 6 speed automatic hatch. Shell E10 poor fuel consumption at 10l/100km around town normal driving (not heavy on the accelerator) 7.8l/100km on the highway on cruise. Shell 91 8l/100km around town Sam driving style. 6.2l/100km on highway on cruise. Shell 95 7.9l/100km Town 6.2l/100km Highway, Shell 98 7.9/100km Town 6.2l/100km highway. My suggestion would be to try for yourself. Run your car on 91 (unless you car states Premium Unleaded only) and you can see the difference in your back pocket and your overall fuel mileage.

Very poor quality fuel be careful – There is a shell station nearby so I used to go to this, but always I noticed when using Shell, even V power my engine runs very poorly and weak and you hear knocking in your engine. When I fill up BP my engine performance is restored. This tells me shell petrol quality is very poor, there needs to be an investigation by government

Diesel prices disgrace – According to channel 7 and RACQ, we are paying approx 20-30 cents per ltr more than what we should for diesel fuel and no one seems concerned by it, sad part is that what affects out grocery prices as it's all related to freight as trucks aren't getting fuel relief passed on.. Madness when ulp is $1.65 ltr and diesel $2.20ltr, WHO'S ADDRESSING THIS WHITE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM

Pointless, hypocritical rules at SHELL service station regarding filling jerry cans – I recently went to a SHELL service station in Canberra to fill two 20 litre steel jerry cans that were firmly secured in the back of my ute with a ratchet strap, The SHELL attendant rushed out and said that " the jerry cans must be on the ground, earthed out for safety reasons" otherwise We won't turn on the bowser. Well SHELL, Perhaps you didn't… Read more

notice my ute has 4 large black rubber tyres that insulate it from ground/earth & a steel fuel tank & you let me & millions of others fuel up their vehicles.

If earthing before refuelling cars was an issue you would have an earth link on each bowser to attach to an earthing point like aircraft do, BUT YOU DON"T.

Thanks for wasting our time, We will shop elsewhere from now on & suggest others do as well

P.S We got the fuel up the road no problems, it was 15 cents a litre cheaper too.

Shell V Power at Coles Express Very Poor Quality – I have been a Shell V Power 98 advocate for many years but sadly things have changed dramatically since Viva Energy have taken over the Australian refinery I purchased 40 litres at an Adelaide metro Coles Express service station just to find my car pinging/engine knock I had proof of purchase and am now battling it out with Viva Energy's claims company Broadspire by Crawford & Company I have switched to Caltex Vortex 98

Dirty Petrol - Shell/Viva Energy Australia **** AVOID ***** warning – For some reason, I have been a Shell client practically all of my life. I am not a young man! I do not really have a reason or justification - habit I guess. About a year ago I filled up at my regular service station. We have five cars, we use same petrol. Same station. Within a few days there was something not right, with my car. About a… Read more

week or so later, I could not start the car. Battery ? ... replaced.

Could not start.

ECU ?

Tested board etc.

Could not start.

More probing around, finally emptied tank (some 50 liters) replace fuel filter with a brand new one. New petrol loaded in. Car starts. Hooray!.....

So, what was wrong with the petrol originally in the tank ? ...... well it was adulterated petrol. Fine black grain, sandy like particles.

The repair cost was not cheap.

Put a claim in to Shell/Viva Energy Australia for reimbursement. Basically told to go away.

Took my case to NSW Fair Trading. As usual they are useful as a pair of tits on a bull. Basically I need to prove that Shell sold me substandard petrol, despite the fact that I submitted photographs as evidence and have kept about 250ml of the adulterated petrol.

Shell/Viva Energy Australia, got one of their dilettante lawyers to call me and offer me, "as a good will gesture" - 25% of my total expense to rectify problem.

Now there's Australian consumer protection for you. Bully behavior from a international company that probably does not even pay its fair share of taxes!

For years the street talk has been that Shell petrol is poor quality.

From personal experience it is. Avoid it.

Caltex for me, from now on.

(PS: this is not sour grapes. It is a consumer informing other consumers, since we are not protected by the governing bodies, whoever they are). Also all repair work was carried out by an accredited professional mechanic).

Losing customer focus – I have been a shell customer for over 2 decades. Only filled at Shell. CAN DO to assist customers. I have had several bad experiences at Shell Five dock and Shell on South Dowling St heading North. Why does your car wash have an expiry date on your docket given it’s somewhat against the Act. Regardless, I had misplaced my car wash docket and when I found the docket it had expired for by a week. I was told by the attendant that it will not be honoured and so did the so called manager. At the other petrol station st South Dowling St I had trouble getting $100 dollars cash out. The attendant said I could only get $50 so I filled up twice on 2 transactions got told that I should ask before I go so. Since when do customers have to ask for the privilege of filling up at your petrol stations and draw cash from their own accounts. The attendant spoke as though he was giving away Shells money and was giving away free fuel. Sorry Shell you have lost me as a customer. Terrible

It is a rip off!! – I think most us try to get the cheapest petrol every time if we can and all the petrol stations advertised the cheapest E10 petrol to attract customers! However, I personally use the '98' for my car, and I realise that in compare with E10, the 91 is 5c more, "95" 10c+, and "98" cost you 20c to 21c more than the E10, that in most other brand of… Read more

petrol stations. Of course Consumers pay for the quality of petrol they want.

The most angry part of this review is that I recently find out, Shell Stations charge more on their v power in compare with other petrol station, the different between their own e10 and v power petrol is 24c!!

It charge 4c more !

So please don't let those cheap E10 mark up fools you, beware of the differences of each grade of petrol in the shell stations.
