It seems to be a common theme with Shred-x. Take the order, agree to pick the bin up after 28 days and then charge an extra month because nobody rang to remind them to pick up the bin. Definitely will never use these people again. Suggest you choose a more customer service oriented business, who works with the customer, not trying to scam another month's rent.
i have the same experience as others being charged an unexpected fee when i arranged for a single bin hard to get through to customer service and get the bi collection set up paid the bill at the same time as ordering collection with an understanding it was all sorted and then have received an unexpected further bill for “renting” a bin for 2 days - won’t be using this service again and hope others don’t as well

not done. So Either poor communication or driver lied on his paper work. not only that supplied us a security bin which was locked. Had to call them to replaced it as could not use!

Zero star, a scam company – We booked a few bins to shred our clients old documents according to law, they quoted us on the phone that all they charge is $80 per bin and said original price is $140 but give us discount because we booked more than 10 bins at a time, then when we receive invoices, they charged us $31 per month for rental fees and charged us collection fees etc… Read more
etc, its a scam company to get customer to buy more at lower price then they charge extra. Their drivers never on time for delivery and collections of bins, then they still charge for rental fees although their drivers late for 1-2 weeks for bin collections.
I guess after 4 requests I should have moved on – We have a small amount of corporate clothing to be shredded. 3 email enquiries, 2 phone calls, 2 follow ups with "I will send you the booking form right now" and I still don't have the booking form to book the job.

suited themselves, not us). Our staff worked over the week-end getting the load ready for collection on the Monday. Shred-X never showed up. We were left with a mountain of paper and nowhere to put it. A disappointing experience.
Do not Use this Company – I had a contract with Specialised Security Shredding, and this company was taken over by Shred X. My contract was for bin collection on demand with no defined cycle of pickup. could not get this charge rescinded without either committing to a new contract or cancelling the bin service. I wasted way more time that the $33 deserved, as I hate companies that feel they are entitled to charge whatever they like without an agreement or contract variation. The final bin pickup cost me $38.50, a charge which I payed just to cut all ties with this company. Shred X is a company I hope to never hear from again.

Dreadful customer service – I had purchased a shredding service just a week before they sold to this company. I have phoned them once a week this year to pick up the documents. will get a phone call back the same day. Nothing happens. I would not recommend this business to anyone. Be wary of dealing with this company as they are not trustworthy.
Its like they don't want your business – Tried booking Shred-X for a big archive removal job. They could ONLY do a Tuesday, no matter what. Booked with someone else and rang up to cancel and they did not even try to keep us as a customer, just canceled and said cya later.
Bad Customer Service and Damage to property – We have used EZY-WAY security document shredding for years and found their service always professional, on time and courteous. We didn't know that the business has been sold to this new company SHRED-X, until we asked if in future we could have our old driver back. Apparently he has sold the business to Shred-X. and rude, they caused extensive damage to our carpets with the removal of their wheelie bins, which they had overloaded. We just supplied them with archive boxes with our documents. The wheelie bins caused damage to the carpet on the steps, basically the bins wheels cut and crushed pile.
When we complained, they basically told us that we should not deal with them in the future. Gordon the area supervisor was as rude as the staff they employ, I guess the staff have learnt and had an example set from the "professional" Gordon. I would and will not use or recommend Shred-X again, their customer service and professionalism they bring to their customers is appalling.
