Do not trust – I do not believe Skytrax is completely genuine and independent in their reviews. My experience with certain airlines and their review are 2 completely different things. I question the honestly of Skytrax. It seems something fishy is going on. Perhaps free flights for them? who knows!

Inaccurate airline ratings – I am frequent flyer and I am astounded on how and what this company goes around establishing how they grade an airline company. For example: they have Air Canada a first world airline ranked as 38th and Fiji Airways at 14th a third world carrier. The service between the two airlines couldn't be different. I have experienced both from booking, customer service, delays and cancellations and additional costs such as accommodation and weight allowance add ons end to end and I can tell you there is a massive difference between these two carriers using them as one such example. My advice to the user beware of this review company better of reading real time reports on Trip Advisor and alike to make a real informed decision before you fly.
