i am very disappointed with a Smeg dishwasher model DWA6314B I purchased this from the god guys in 2019 but not installed till my new kitchen came in late 2020. just before the 2 year warranty expired i had trouble with one cycle where it didn't stop. I rang for it to be serviced which they couldn't do for 2 weeks at the time and the problem resolved on its own. i stopped using that particular cycle. Currently I just paid $460 in repairs to the Smeg dishwasher as the same thing occurred. New switch and new water switch replaced. The reason I am asking for a smeg representative to put in his thoughts, is I have had 3 previous dishwashers in the past 43 years 2 of which were dishlex and both lasted 15 to 16 years each. Then I had purchased a Bosh which was working perfectly for about 6 years and I gave it to my daughter to install in her kitchen as to this day is working perfectly, as i was remodelling my kitchen and required a black dishwasher I proudly bought the Smeg thinking what a good purchase I had made as the salesperson told me at the time what a good product I was purchasing. to my disappointment I can tell you that it is the worst product I have purchased and installed in my kitchen to date. I am not happy with this dishwasher the performance of it is below poor it does not wash properly its highly likely it will breakdown again. I do not recommend anyone purchasing one and no one could be more sorry than me for purchasing it. its very frustrating. Can you please give me your thoughts on this product? regards liz

I love Smeg. The support system is fantastic. I'm sure they'll sort your problem if it's valid. Can't ever fault them

Hi. I purchased the Smeg Food Processor and the lid no longer fits due to the connection wearing away (the screw shaped connection is stripped as it’s plastic). We only purchased it in Feb last year. Are replacement lids available

Hi Ciara, perhaps you should think about calling Head Office of Smeg Australia. Clearly the item is “not fit for purpose” due to disintegration of materials used. I would suggest you tell Smeg to replace at no cost the part. The disintegration represents a health hazard as you have no idea whether their poorly chosen manufacturer materials might fall into foods being processed. For myself, if it was my issue- this is what I would do and this is a suggestion only. I hope this assists.

Thank you. I have also started a chat with Smeg. To be honest I am not happy with any Smeg product we have bought and won’t purchase any going forward

Quality control should be at the manufacturing stage not at the returns counter of the poor reseller. Thank god there is a forum like Product review to keep the manufacturer honest. You know Smeg had a good reputation once.
