Smithlock.com.au is a rip off! – I looked online for a locksmith service as I was locked out of my car and on the website it gives a call out fee of $30 but no price details. and he said it was $280 for the service. I complained and called the office or call centre again (0386570001) and the woman on the phone said it would depend on the job. I explained that the time spent was around 10 minutes and she said she would contact the person that did the service. She called but nothing changed, they said that was the price. There are many other services advertising much lower fees and probably more honest and decent, not like these people that are overcharging for simple and quick services. The service was very simple, no need for any special tools, just simple and inexpensive things. It cannot be at all justified to be charged such a massive fee for what was done. I wish I chose any other website, it was probably going to be better. Never use any of their services, it would probably be the same situation and just taking advantage of people. It is way overpriced. It looks like a fake company, the vehicle that came for the service had no company logos or info like many other serious companies. The person that came was wearing dirty clothes as if he would be working in a construction site and not as someone professional and from this kind of field. I would recommend not to even consider contacting this company if it even deserves to be categorised as one.
