We have been using messagenet via salmat. Excellent service, reliable gateway. We send up to 500 critical sms a day. I have looked at a bunch of different providers, lots of pretty websites, but not much reliability. we have been using them for 6 months now. No issues at all. external link 

We have had past experiences with SMS Global unfortunately not very great either. We have been using touchSMS and cannot complain. since the switch late last year things have been running quite seamlessly have NOT had a vodafone issues since. external link

The Vodaphone / SMS Global problem was SMS Global problem was SMS ripping off their customers using a backdoor to deliver (sometimes) the messages - then they got caught!

SMS Global were offline for 5 days just recently (April 2018) and despite huge customers being affected there was no appropriate response from the company. No sooner had I complained to ask for a refund, they went offline again for another 2 days. When I threaten to leave them, they offered cheaper pricing to keep me. A two tiered pricing system. The second tier was really cheap, but they said that it "base pricing without a Custom Word (Sender ID)". I inquired with their competitors and they suggested that this is because they use "grey routes" whatever that means. And the rest of their prices are simply out of touch with the market. Needles to say, we are gooone.
