The battery is performing extremely well. I am charging the battery overnight with my EV charging electricity rates and for free from my solar system during the day. Currently our bills are less than $50 per month. Show details
We have had our system for coming up t 2 years in September. It cost $20,000 (approx) to setup the inverter, battery and solar panels. This is an exhorbitant amount of money for us. We did not have savings, cash to splash, extra income - we had a small lump sum payment for a workcover claim where one of our family was permanently injured and… Read more
unable to work in their qualified role ever again. Essentially halving our income instantly. We put this money to what we thought was "good use" to make future power bills easier on our growing family.
The initial install was problematic as it kept tripping the power randomly and after a few weeks eventually got it kind of sorted out with the installer. But ongoing, we cannot have more than 2 heavy appliances on at the same time in our house. We can turn on the washing machine, dishwasher, but don't dare try and vac the floor at the same time. Don't even waste your time boiling the kettle if the dryer is going. OK, that's an issue, we have worked out how to live with it, BUT, it's not an issue we should have to learn to live with. We NEVER had this problem before with our smaller solar system that we had for over a decade.
But the problems do not end here. In Feb 2025 the whole thing just died. There were some storms around, but nothing overly major, and now that we've had the same thing happen again, I doubt the storm had anything to do with the issue. So it died completely, and after doing the remote checking routines, managed to get them to understand it is actually DEAD, D.E.A.D. Technicians came out, and replaced it.
Unfortunately AGAIN, at the end of June, same thing. Completely DEAD, no storms, no excessive use of appliances. Nothing. Just dead out of nowhere.
It has now been a month, and no technicians have come, nothing has been replaced, and again, we are using exessive grid power that we CANNOT afford, but have no choice.
I have tickets open, the issue has been escalated, I've asked for updates and get absolutely nothing. If you call the number, they just tell you to logon the website and raise a ticket.
When the first system died, I suggested then, that they need to inspect the entire installation, as there MUST be something wrong with it! The tripping issues, and sudden death of the inverter/battery. But they didn't. So now that we are on the SECOND incident of the same thing, I have again requested that they inspect the entire installation. But whether they do remains to be seen. If anyone ever gets back to us.
And if they can't find a fault within the installation, then I would strongly suggest it is the product itself and I would like a refund to get my family set up with something that actually works properly for a family of 4 and is the investment we hoped it would be for our future. I don't have time for this. Chasing tickets, writing reviews, just trying to get someone to care. This is not what I paid for. It's not like there are 10 of us living here and using a ridiculous level of electricity. It's an average family, doing average things.
Unless something is seriously sorted out in our installation, I do NOT recommed this brand / company at all.

simply brilliant. It’s incredibly efficient, easy to install, and seamlessly integrates with my solar power system. The design is sleek and modern, but it’s not just about looks—this battery packs a punch when it comes to performance. The energy storage is reliable, and I’ve noticed a significant reduction in my energy bills since installation. It charges quickly, holds power well, and has given me peace of mind knowing I’m making the most of the energy generated by my solar panels. What I particularly love about the Soltaro battery is its ability to adapt to different solar power setups, making it versatile and a great fit for both residential and commercial applications. It has a fantastic warranty and comes with a user-friendly app that makes monitoring energy consumption a breeze. The Service: Soltaro’s customer service is outstanding. Right from the initial inquiry, I was met with helpful, friendly staff who took the time to explain the product, answer my questions, and guide me through the installation process. Their knowledge of solar energy and storage solutions is top-notch, and it’s clear they are genuinely passionate about helping customers reduce their carbon footprint. The installation was quick and smooth, thanks to the professionalism of their team. They were punctual, tidy, and left everything in perfect working order. Even after installation, Soltaro has continued to offer support whenever I had questions or needed assistance. Enthusiasm and Commitment: What truly sets Soltaro apart is their enthusiasm and commitment to sustainability. It's clear that they are not just selling a product, but they genuinely believe in what they do. They are passionate about providing solutions that help people save money, reduce their environmental impact, and take control of their energy usage. Their team is always willing to go the extra mile, and their enthusiasm for renewable energy is contagious. I really appreciate that they take the time to ensure their customers are fully educated on how to get the most out of their solar energy system. Final Thoughts: I would highly recommend Soltaro to anyone looking for a high-quality, reliable solar battery solution. The product is fantastic, the service is excellent, and their enthusiasm for sustainable energy is truly inspiring. It’s rare to find a company that blends innovation, customer care, and genuine passion so seamlessly. If you’re considering a solar battery, Soltaro is definitely the way to go! 5/5 stars – Absolutely brilliant!
After reviewing many options I opted for Soltaro to provide my Solar Battery and I was extremely happy with the communications from the company and the installation was undertaken in a professional manner and to my satisfaction. The unit was installed in my garage and I have been deriving a considerable benefit from its efficient storage of generation from my solar panels. Show details

Electricity Bill in Credit – Its been 3 months since we installed our Soltaro battery and we are now in credit with the energy company. We were unsure if it was the rught decision to add a Solar battery to our solar system but this first bill confirms we made the right decision. Show details
Solar Battery for Fully Electric home – Highly recommend the Soltaro Solar Battery for fully electric home. It allows multiple charge cycles per day so I am charging the battery not only from my solar during the day but also with my overnight low EV charging rates. Show details
Self sufficient – Got my battery fitted and claimed the rebate which made a big difference to cost. I am saving more than expected. I also love being almost energy independent with very little need to use grid power. Really affordable technology. Show details
Extremely happy with my decision to go with Soltaro – Was in the market for a battery and come across Soltaro which was local to me in Melbourne. Absolutely love it. Its mounted on the wall out of the way which was my preference. Looks even better in real life than the photos give it credit for. You will not be disappointed investing in a Soltaro battery. Great Investment – Great investment. Bills are down to pretty much the supply charge every month, seeing the benefits of Solar panels really amplified. Highly recommend. Show details
Easier than I imagined to report a fault online – We have quite a large domestic 3 x 15kw system with 3 x 10kwh storage batteries. On of the inverter/battery developed a fault that would not allow the battery to recharge if the battery had completely dishcharged. I contacted the installer who suggested I contact Soltaro direct via their website. I was very sceptical of this but shouldn’t have… Read more
been. Having sent a brief description and photographs of the fault Soltaro reported a glitch in the software that they corrected. The whole process took just 4 days including Saturday & Sunday. The system is now perfect Soltaro even contacted me further to check the system was in good working order.
Great battery and fantastic technical support team – We purchased our Soltaro AI02 ESS Battery on October in 2022 and we were so impressed with the units operation with the 20 Solar panels installed 10 years ago now. However we did experience a few problems on the 5th May 2023 6th October 2023 3rd November 2023 The battery did stop working on these 3 dates, also the window display was frozen so… Read more · 1
you couldn't see how the battery was operating after we had the unit up and running. I contacted our installer here in Bendigo RACV Solar who have taken over from the original purchasing company Colar Solar Bendigo and they just didn't respond to the first 2 dates as if they weren't responsible for fixing the issues, on the 3rd of November I contacted them, it took them another 3 months to sent out a Tech guy who originally installed the battery and that's a whole other story! He couldn't help as the battery was installed correctly.
That's when the fabulous Tech support team from Soltaro stepped in and went way beyond what I would have expected. Yes you have to get on the web site and open a ticket for their support team to assist you. Peter Blake was such a great help, he went through what I needed to do when the battery stopped working after 2 days of terrible weather with no sun. He was able to look at the battery remotely from their end and walk me through how to do a full restart and from their end also did an emergency restart which always fixed the problem of the battery and display window. (Peter is no longer with the company.)
The best and fastest way to contact Tech support once you have activated a ticket is by email they will almost answer you immediately throughout the process.
Last problem on the 3rd November Jonathan was able to assist me with great patients and professionalism and sent me a very detailed book on how to do a full restart which for a novice /senior on batteries really helped, however the display window did stop working again. He stated he would have a Tech support guy come up from Melbourne when they could and replace it.
On the 10th of Feb Soltaro sent George up from Melbourne on a Saturday and replaced the display window, he was such a nice guy, very passionate about his company and Solar. You can't ask more than that from this company who without their support I don't know what we would have done.
So thank you so much for all your emails and support I can't speak highly enough of your company and the Tech support team, special mention to the office girls for their understanding when I have rang.
I know now I have the confidence to contact Soltaro with any future issues that may come up, however all systems are working fine now and our last power bill was $91 for 3 months.
On the 14th of Feb we lost electricity for 3/ 1/2 hours our battery took over and what a relief our fridges all worked as well as our PowerPoints so we watch the TV and used the microwave
Again thank you all for your understanding, support and professionalism

How I ever did without my Soltaro battery, I’ll never know – When my unit developed problems, I contacted Soltaro online. A very talented tech took me through some checks and it was determined that the inverter would need to be replaced. The service throughout was of the highest calibre. Arrangements were made for the changeover and on the agreed day/time a tech arrived, who was very knowledgeable, polite and quick in his task. I highly recommend Soltaro for all that they do. Know better, choose better.
After writing a negative review, I had to contact the company AGAIN – My electricity bill arrived and was one of the biggest I had seen in 10 years. I contacted Soltaro by email. After my last contact with them I didn't want to be treated by the technician as if I was an idiot because I am female, a senior citizen and have a hearing impairment! Interesting since I have a Science Degree!!!!! They put me in contact… Read more
with Peter Blake. He had used the app to find out what the problem might be, but no problem was showing. Suggested I contact the plumber. Plumber says there is no problem, contact the electrician. The electrician says there is no problem, contact the installer. Installer says there is no problem, contact the provider. Back to Peter, who suggests I contact my electricity provider. Electricity provider says the system is working perfectly BUT I'm on the wrong plan and on the wrong off peak option. Next account was $50 and accounts since have been in the negative. System chugging along perfectly. Thank you, Peter, for your positive attitude, politeness and helpfulness. These qualities are sadly missing from some other staff. Peter needs to be cloned so that Customer Service contact is a pleasant experience.
Complete waste of $18000 – After installation in July 2022, the battery didn't charge beyond 10%, which is the default flat battery. The picture shows the 10% but the date is all wrong. Just the beginning of the problems. Then the system was making enough noise for the neighbours to comment. In September 2022 received the biggest power bill since changing providers in… Read more
December 2014. Power bill doubled. January 2023 power outage in the street and we have no power. Told only the lights and the fridge are on the circuit during an outage. No lights, no fridge, no fans during summer in Brisbane. I should have a new power bill soon and it will be interesting to see the bottom line. Rang tech support at Head Office in Melbourne to be told that I could only speak to Tech support if I was an installer and hung up on me. Rang general enquiries and was told to go online and report the fault to tech support on the company website. Can only access the website if you agree to all cookies - no option to opt out of receiving spam. Rang the installer, who no longer installs Soltaro, and he said he had registered the system and he would find the password. Tried accessing by getting a new password but my email address is not listed. Interesting as I have the app on my phone. Guess how I feel about customer service? Can't comment because I didn't get any!!! Tried reading the manual I was given, but it is the installer's manual and not a householder's manual. I've had solar at a previous address and not one problem. In 6 months I've had multiple problems without a solution or any support from this company. I'm a retiree on a fixed income and can't afford another $18000 to replace this inefficient and ineffectual system. Pity there is not option to give 0 stars!
