Sony 7.2CH Home Cinema AV Receiver STRDN850

Excellent sound, but not supper loud – Great sound system. Use it all the time for radio and TV. Great sound quality. I would recommend it. I own 2 systems. One for the lounge tv and one for the cinema room.

Good sound, bad construction – I purchased a Sony STR-DN850 surround sound amplifier just over a year ago. For the most part it has been good. The last few months the LCD display has been dropping out/disappearing. A tap on the top would bring it back, not anymore. I did some research online and this is apparently a common issue with this model. The common theme I get is that a Sony repairer will charge more than the unit is worth to fix what seems like a simple short/loose connection. I wont be buying Sony again.
