I don’t know how they can continue to stay relevant in this market – I purchased my Sony PlayStation PSVR v2 with camera from JB Hifi a few years ago on sale for $280. I then had to purchase the move controllers for around $100 so I could play the games I like. I like my PlayStation, but with Sony’s primitive technology at a premium price I fail to see how Sony will remain relevant in this market.
One only has to look out there for similar products from Oculus, HTC Hive and Samsung to know that purchasing a PSVR in the last few years was a bad decision.
Let’s hope they come up with something special for the PS5 version.
Virtual Reality for PS4 – Real virtual reality on the PS4. The headset fits well and is not too heavy. There are a fair number of games and VR videos available. There are VR videos on YouTube that can play on this. The picture is not as high resolution as normal, but I am satisfied with it. If you want a really sharp VR picture you would have to buy a much more expensive VR device together with a powerful PC.
