coming from a member of the armed forces. They also charged me an extra $1300 for the privilege of watching that, garbage disposal resembling, two minute process. I have tried to contact SMCT via email from the subsidiary funeral service but to date have not received a reply.
Follow-up · I finally received a call from SMCT who pretty much palmed my concerns off as 'business as usual' for them, saying that's why they don't recommend watching a cremation. He then suggested folding back a curtain on a window to allow the viewing justified the extra $1300 they charge. Absolute nonsense.

A 10-week waiting period just to remove ashes and plaque ! Then, having to make further appointments which take weeks to collect !
The organisation needs a big shake-up and a re-naming of the "Customer Care Team" to "Don't Care Mob" ! I would not be caught dead in there !

but he informed me that it was not their company's responsibility & it was the Funeral Service company's.
When I found out the Link was provided by the Southern Metropolitan Cemetery Trust (SMCT), I therefore made the 3rd Call to the SMCT. It was also [Name Removed] who attended to my call. He again denied their responsibility!
We, the mourners were advised by the SMCT before the Funeral Service date that WE CAN VIEW WITH ANY WEBSITE BROWSER.
IN FACT, IT WAS NOT TRUE!
This unavailability of the Live Streaming had made the sudden passing of my long term friend, Gladys of over 30 years friendship more unbearable feelings!
I MISSED THE ONLINE ATTENDANCE IN THIS FUNERAL SERVICE WAS BECAUSE OF SMCT'S FAILURE TO FULFIL THEIR DUTIES AS PROMISED!
I Wonder: WHO'S RESPONSIBILITY? The Classic Funerals? Or The Southern Metropolitan Cemetery Trust?
