Best automotive customer service i have ever had – Product knowledge and efficiency in getting back to me were amazing. The prices are also great. Couldnt recommend the team here any higher if you needed any sort of auto parts.

ontime delivery – I ordered a pair of strut tops. The website said 3 days delivery and sure enough around lunch time on the third day, the van arrived at my door. Exactly what I ordered and right on time. You can't ask for more than that!

Partial delivery and not contactable – Ordered 2 packets of plastic fasteners and delivery took over 3 weeks Only 1 packet has been delivered and I have unable to contact them. Emails to sales@sparespro.com.au are being rejected as undeliverable and have received no response using the online contact form

Stock levels – Get you stock levels correct! Customers should not be able to purchase products that aren't in stock. i've have purchased items that aren't in stock . Im chasing spares pro to see what's going on with my order only for them to tell me they don't have stock and they have no idea when they will get more. Complete waste of time.

Beware they take your money and never deliver – Unfortunately I purchased a $150 part from this company via direct bank transfer and they never shipped the part. I rang countless times and sent numerous emails to no avail. I then disputed the transaction with my bank who couldn't recover the money in the end. I will never deal with this company again even if they have changed ownership as they never responded to my calls or emails. They have even deleted my online Sparespro account not long after my last email! The positive reviews could all be fake to con you into their trap.

Perfect service and best price in the country – Ordered some urgent parts and when their warehouse failed to fulfill my order in the two days that was initially promised to me, they went over and above to rectify and ordered directly from my local DBA wholesaler and got the parts drop shipped to me within 24 hours. Faultless communication and service, and the best price in the country. Couldn't ask for more.

Not free freight! – I purchased brake rotors from Sparespro, as they were the only retailer I could find that had stock of the rotors I needed. Wouldn’t normally buy from them because their free freight over $100 does not apply to Perth, cost me $40 freight. out when you go to check out, and you’re left wondering what happened to the free freight? Other than that, their service, prices and the fact they had the parts in stock was A +.

My new go-to for online car parts and tools – Exceptional customer service, great everyday prices and fast delivery. What's not to like? I have made 2 orders with Sparespro so far. Their help to work out various complications has been so noteworthy I just had to write a nice review. I will definitely be using them again.

Best price on the planet. Highly recommended – I have an American car and Spares Pro were awesome. Next day delivery, part was exact match, price was the best I could find even american suppliers given exchange rate. I will shop and highly recommend.

Best price in Australia for Sachs shocks – I recently purchased some new set of Sachs shock absorbers from sparespro and was impressed with their prices and service. As a regular contributor to Product Review, I know it is tempting to only respond to those negative experiences we have as consumers. However, it is just as important to respond to good quality products or excellent customer service. I received both of these from SparesPro in my last two purchases.

problem fixed - new owners genuine – Me previous review needs correction- Sparespro did in fact try to contact me but had the wrong email address and managed to contact me on mobile after several failed attempts. After discussion I feel that the new owners can be relied upon and are working hard to give great service. Have now received the parts which were on back order, Thanks for the follow up guys! Lodged a complaint with Paypal and after a quick investigation my dispute was immediately escalated to a claim and will hopefully have a refund by the 4th of April.

Its not illegal or unusual but this company operates online as Sparespro.com.au and their Paypal account is OZMOTORSPORT PERFORMANCE.

Super easy to deal with! – I ordered a part off these guys, was a bit skeptical at the start, but I got a tracking number and they told me it would arrive 1-4 business days. Parts arrived 2 days later were as described and well packed, definitely will buy from these guys again!

Simple task made super hard – Same as everybody else, ordered a part three weeks later did not arrive, rang them they said would get back to me another three weeks exactly the same thing. They do not reply to emails and don't call you back, opened a dispute and got my part the next day with no communication. The pick date on the slip was the day before so basically nothing had happened for six weeks before I opened a dispute. How are these guys allowed to operate?

2 mths and waiting. Have filed complain to NSW Fair Trade – Paid for disc rotor on 24 Sept 2015. Still not received. Excuses include not in stock, offer to replade with different brand, should have been sent and I will check and will get back to you. All excuses. Haave filed complain to NSW Fair Trade and suggest that you all do the same if you did not get the product or money back.

• Raised a complaint through their online system with no reply.

• Left a message via their eBay Sparespro user ID with no reply.

• Progressed the complaint.

• Emailed to a request to cancel the order, refund payment & please contact me. Still no reply.

• A few hours later raised a refund claim with PayPal. The refund came through later that day.

In the end, my only actual interaction with Sparespro after clicking the order button on their website was through PayPal - I got absolutely zip from them.

I'm just glad that there was no hassle with getting the refund. Will chalk it up to experience.

Update, February 2016: Was contacted by [name removed], one of the new owners of Sparespro. He seemed eager to fix any problems I'd had with the previous owners. I will probably give them a go again for future parts needs. Hope he can pick up the loose ends left behind.

Unreliable and waste of time – Ordered a timing belt kit for my ute but it never arrived. It was only when I chased it up that they refunded me my money but with no communication or anything. Useless, unreliable and really frustrating. Save yourself the hassle and go elsewhere, these guys are a joke. T

Worst customer service ever - ended up requsting refund – Ordered a pair of struts via their website. 2 weeks later still no struts (and I live only 1h from their "store" - which by the way never seems to be open). So I email them, repeatedly, and finally get a response: "I'll chase it up tomorrow for you". Tomorrow comes and goes with no further response from them, so I keep emailing over several… Read more

days without any further reply. I also try their phone number and leave a message. Nothing. At this point I am starting to think I've been scammed. I email a further time suggesting they really ought to at least just keep a customer informed of delays or out of stock items and that I will soon be requesting a refund. I get a reply this time saying that the struts are out of stock with their supplier and they will try another supplier. It was now 4 weeks since I gave them my money.

Another week goes by with no further communication from them regarding whether or not they could source my struts or when they might become available, despite sending several further emails asking for an update.

After about 5 weeks I gave up and sent one final email asking for a refund, they never responded, but did refund my money to my PayPal account.

Ironically the refund was about the only thing they did well.

My advice, avoid these guys, pay a bit more and get what you ordered with good customer service from some other reputable supplier.

Forget Supporting Local Business, Go To eBay Instead As Sparespro Is A Complete Scam – Bought and paid for item and still not received months later. Multiple emails to customer support and I received 1 reply from [name removed] 'I shall look into it' I will be looking into it myself when I drive my car into their shop front to see if that gets there attention.

they had a refund for me within days. I learned 3 lessons, read the reviews first, pay with Paypal and take action quickly. I have never heard anything back from this company, Don't Trust Them!

I recently got an SMS saying the company was under new management, but I have not bought anything else off them.

Won't answer their phones – Ordered NGK spark plugs. Paid on the 30/0... No one answering phone. Believed to have shifted from Gulgong to Mudgee. I won't leave no stone unturned to get my money back.

incompetent clowns or calculated fraudsters – bought rotors and brake pads that were said to be in stock on 28/07/15. On the 17/08/15 they said they would chase it up with suppliers. On the 19/09/15 they said their supplier was going to get on to DBA and get them organised that day (so obviously not in stock).
