Never bet on Sportsbet again. All of a sudden, I copped a handicap on a bet which I have nwver ever done before. When stakes are high, they will do sonething for you to lose. Stay away from Sportsbet.

Despite this, Sportsbet incorrectly settled the bet as a loss.
The most concerning part? Nothing would have happened if I hadn’t checked the stats myself and contacted them. When I reported the issue, customer service simply said “yes, an adjustment will be made.” No explanation. No compensation. Just a quiet correction.
This raises a serious red flag.
If one winning bet can be misclassified as a loss so easily, how many other customers never notice and never get paid? Most people trust the settlement and move on. At scale, even a small error rate across thousands or millions of bets would mean Sportsbet keeps money it shouldn’t.
The customer service response was frankly pathetic. Treating a verified settlement error as a routine fix, with zero accountability, shows a lack of respect for customers and for fair betting practices.
To be clear:
The bet was objectively a win
Sportsbet settled it incorrectly
It was only corrected after I chased it
There was no compensation for their mistake
My advice to anyone using Sportsbet: always verify your bet results independently. Don’t assume the settlement is correct, because if you don’t catch it, no one else will.
This experience has seriously damaged my trust in the platform.

Sportsbet refused and after multiple emails back and forth in which I proved I was the owner of the mobile phone number with a screen shot of me accessing the mobile account, Sportsbet has said that it would not remove my number from another person's account without permission from that account holder.
I then tried the online Sportsbet chat to see if they could help. I was told by them they could not and to call the 1800 phone number for the customer service call center.
I rang the customer call center and the women asked for my name which I provided and asked if I had an account to which I said no. She then asked how could she help and I asked if she could see the mobile number I was calling from and she has said yes. I then explained the situation with regards to my mobile number being on someone else’s account and said that since she could see the number I am calling from then that should prove I am the owner and asked for them to remove my mobile number from their system and from any account it was on.
After she spoke with a supervisor the woman came back and stated she cannot remove my number from another person's account without permission from that account holder. I have then pointed out that it shouldn’t matter. That I have proven myself to be the owner of the mobile phone number and who cares what anyone else says or wants. I explained that it is my number and I have the right for my number to not be used by anyone else on an account that is not mine.
Sportsbet have continued to refuse and still currently refuse at the time of this being written and shared. Sportsbet continue to say to me that they cannot change the details of an account without the account holders’ permission.
So now my mobile number is being used for a Sportsbet account that I have no control over and Sportsbet don't care and are refusing to do anything about it. This is how Sportsbet react to being told that an account has someone else's private details attached to it.

Can't complain – I have been using sportsbet for around 10-15 years and rarely have had any issues. When I lose I lose but when I win they payout without fail. that's why they call it gambling, what more can you ask? but then again I am not a big punter.

On Tuesday 4th November 2025, Melbourne Cup Day somebody signed up for an account without my knowledge and they sent $50 on bets without my knowledge as well. of May 2024 Sportsbet firstly apologised for accepting deposits 90 in total, $3760 in total as their own terms and conditions don’t allow. They told me to contact my bank and they ensure I’d get reimbursed Now they say there isn’t any money in the account to refund. Funnily it’s the 2nd time I’d had payid deposits from my account to Sportsbet How could they verify an account yet allow 90 transactions from someone using Betstop.
They treat their costumers like dirt and make changes to your account without letting you know, and when complained about it they didn’t do anything to help or retain a customer. Use a different betting agent.

Tried to bet on a live bet using bet with mates. Had to call rather than bet online according to the app, ok. First call the call centre staff member had no idea what bet with mates was.
