Steggles Chicken Pops Tempura

I usually make my own chicken pops, and after tasting the Steggles version, I will never eat anything other than home-made again. I can only conclude that people giving these Tempura Chicken pops good reviews have never cooked their own or tried the real thing. Once cooked, they didn't have visual appeal, nor did they smell appetising. I was disgusted at the nasty rubbery texture as the 'pops' started to cool down, but it was the lack of chicken flavour that truly shocked me. They tasted so bland I felt like I was eating the rubber used in erasers . Homemade chicken pops are so delicious there is no excuse for this product . In fact the Steggles Tempura Pops were so disgusting my family refused them after a few bites. I ended up throwing them to a local flock of seagulls (I live next to the sea) and was astounded that birds who usually eat almost anything rejected them ...and that says it all!
