Worst unhealthy Product – This is the worst chicken product from Steggles Family Roast Chicken, I ended up buying from Woolworths. Big companies like this do anything to make profit out of the consumers without even thinking that product like this is not really good for consumers to consume. I strongly recommend the company to take strict action regarding to this… Read more
particular product quality. I would not even give a single star. I bought the whole chicken and when I cut them into pieces, there were harmful liquid substances and rotten part in the chicken. I strongly recommend the other consumers not to buy this chicken product.

Prior to them, chickens had very dry and sometimes tough, breast meat when bought from a supermarket. Steggles changed all that, and gave the public a tender and mostly juicy breast. single handedly, turned the chicken business into gourmet cuisine. Constant effort rewarded them with loyal followers like me, and their quality seldom shifted. Now I don't want to be picky, but lately, (last 12 months or so), the major retailers, have been selling their fresh meats, prepacked with extra water...? Pork mainly. Pork shoulder, boneless cuts, and sometimes beef. I've noticed that Steggles are now doing this......My last two chickens had at least a third of a cup of water in each...that's about 100ml. Don't get me wrong, I still appreciate the gesture, quality chicken, (and at a super low price when on special), but perhaps shopper would prefer to pay an extra 5% if the chickens were properly "drained" before packaging. The excess water also goes a bit "off" very quickly if the chicken is stored for 3 days or more.
