Steinberg Cubase

Cubase Pro? or Silence is golden – Bought Cubase Pro 10.5 from modern musician hobart and has never worked. Rudely referred to Jarod of Yahama to fix and a quagmire of blame and total lack of responsibility

No support – If you think that you get support from Steinberg, think again. They expect you to weed through everybody else's problems before you get to email them. I bought Cubase, can't start it and I have no where to turn... Thanks heaps Steinberg

Dont get Steinberg software – I have been a Cubase user for a number of years gradually building up the capability of the software that I use to produce music. This is a warning to you not to make the same mistake. Buying into a particular piece of software means that you are locked in. Dont get me wrong the software, WHEN IT WORKS, is great the issue is when it doesnt that the problems start. The support is TERRIBLE. In most countries the support is passed of to a local distributor. In Australia it is Yamaha Backstage. So to log an issue you have to go to Yamaha's page and log it there. Mistake number one is that when you log a ticket you dont get a copy of the ticket so if they decide not to reply you cant show that you logged it at a particular point in time or what the subsequent actions were. The next is that it will take you at least a couple of days to get a response. So each time you go round a loop of providing additional information or context, you have to wait another couple of days for a reply. If they cxant get to an answer they really dont seem to care. At the moment I have a system that I have paid 000s dollars and it doesnt work and it has been that way for about 3 months now with no resolution in sight. So I recommend that you dont buy Cubase because when you need it, after you have spent lots of money with them, they are not there to support you. They do not care about their customers.
