Uninspiring swill but cheap on promo at Uncle Dan's. Allegedly flavoursome European but mass produced on licence to taste like - lack lustre US lagers. Show details
DISAPOINTING..LOVE MY STELLA – FLAT WHEN OPENED ..opened four bottles .. Only drink Stella Atoi Show details
Real Stella from Jim's cellars! – Stella fron Dan Murphy's has no flavour. Stella from Jim's cellars is the authentic beer brewed in Belgium and its cheaper than Dan's. Show details
Stella Premium Price For No Frills Quality – Stella has been one of my favourite Beers for many years. I thought it would be great to bring a case home when I saw it at Dan Murphy's. Oh what a mistake, Tastes a lot like VB however Nothing like Stella Artois! Having it look like the Real Stella in my opinion is false advertising and quite fraudulent. I feel so ripped off by Dan Murphy's for… Read more
selling me a ring in. Why does it not have across the label that it is FAKE? It is NOT Stella, NOT brewed by Stella. Australia has made and still make some Great beers BUT, This is Not one of them. I dumped the rest of the case, it is really bad.
Aussie Stella is gross! Just import the UK Stella, please – I’m from the UK and the UK Stella is delish. The Aussie version is grim. Please just import the UK version, please. I hate the Aussie tradition of taking other countries food and drink and then stripping it of all flavour. Infuriating. Stop doing it to beer. Show details
Made in Australia not Belgium – Made in Australia, tastes nothing like the original or imported Stella… my favourite for years…now it is rubbish, light tasting, Australian lager.Shame on you… Show details
fake beer - not hoppy Jan – bought a case of these stubbies from Dan Murphy's after they didn't have my usual Beck's Bier, and just after I had tried a case of Coopers green Original Pale Ale which I found strangely satisfying - whereas I'd quickly inhale 2 of the Beck's, I found 1 of the Coopers to typically feel enough anyhoo - try something different - get this box home,… Read more
read the label - brewed in Southbank Vic by CUB - uh, oh, not the Euro brew like Beck's - so lemme see - what does it taste like ? - kinda nothing - I feel I've wasted by dollarinis here.
But not only that - Euro packaging is usually good quality design, like the Beck's German box which is kinda amazing - so lightweight and flat-pack - this 'luxury' paper-covered bottle cap is a PITA to remove - yes they've probably copied the Belgian design with a tab to pull - but they scrimped out on the paper quality so I got this result -https://photos.app.goo.gl/7L7Dx3dmK7Gt4Pbg8 - a ripped-off tab with a still unopened paper covering - far kmee
so - doesn't taste great - and s#its me trying to open the friggin' bottle ?
short answer - I won't be buying this again - think I get s'more Coopers green - https://www.danmurphys.com.au/product/DM_25620/coopers-original-pale-ale-bottles-375ml
(disclaimer - I have no vested interest here - I'm an old home brewer !)
Soory – I just like to avoid buying this beer made and bottled in Aus. sorry not my test, can they make the package differently or just writing more visibale on the top of carton package BREWED IN AUSTRALIA , and can be avoided buying . As i live on farm ,not close from shops, or PUBs not worth to drive back to get my money back , lucky visitors on my property get free beers .Regards Cristian Show details
Stella Lover...But Australian version !!!!! – I had been a Stella Lover (addict !) in Europe for decades. I moved to Australia 20 years ago and thought I’d try a drop of the amber nectar down here. OMG how bad is this stuff here ? Its just shocking. I dont know who’s brewing it here but they need to go back to basics . Show details
Great beer for chilling and listening to music – I think its a refreshing beer but thats my personal opinion, also I don't know what it is but its the only alcoholic drink that gets close to the feeling of being stoned , some people don't like that, but really great when listening to music or watching a movie, I rarely will have more than two or three though cause then it loses its feeling.
Be careful with this stuff or else you'll end up stoned! – Can you smell the stench? Well, you will do, when you crack open a can of this stuff! Blimey! What a stinker! One can is enough to get you stoned, so you can't say you haven't been warned!!!
Dont forgett the Aspro – A very fruity drop that goes down easily especially in the hot months when a cold one is all you want. Don't drink too many as you will be reaching for the head ache pills with this one.
Nice drop – I was at a Jerry Lewis comedy show at the Sydney Opera House. I drank a Crown Lager, followed by a Stella Artois. No idea if the Stella was brewed in NZ or Belgium, but WOW that Stella tasted fantastic compared to the Crownie. It's only when you switch beers you really get a sense of flavour. I drink Stella Artois whenever it's on special. It's… Read more
still a nice drop. Smooth, easy drinking, one of the better beers out there. I'd knock one back any time. Can be pricey
oh dear – The Aus / NZ version of this beer is horrid. if you ever have the chance to try the fully imported (from Belgium, not UK) version you will understand why we are paying top dollar. I resent paying top dollar for swill and having it advertised as imported......yeah right, from NZ! PFFFFFTTTTTTT! nice label taste, price, dishonest
Brewed in new Zealand – I recently purchased a carton of Stella Artois that was brewed and bottled in New Zealand. I'm sorry, but I don't know how they can pass this off as Stella Artois. It tasts nothing like the original and In my opinion almost amounts to deceptive marketing. The cartons from the bottle shop should be clearly labelled on all sides as "brewed and bottled in New Zealand".
