Stihl's claim of 20mins running is rubbish. The best I've had is 10mins, average would be 7 mins if lucky. And you have to endure over 2 hour charge just to get that. After about 100 uses it now runs intermittently even though the battery is charged. Absolute garbage. They should reclaim them all and give us our money back. Too much of this sort of poor quality foistered on the public these days. Show details

Lovely and light weight – I only have a small area to Whipper Snip.But it really does do a great job.The two plastic blades are strong and easy to replace.It is light weight so no sore arms afterwards.You can adjust the handle for comfort as well.Easy to start too. Show details

went green. Hedge trimmer, pole-saw, chainsaw - outstanding value, easy to use, virtually maintenance free, quiet,. Two (very expensive!) batteries for the lot- both will see regular use in all our tools EXCEPT THE WHIPPER SNIPPER - which we will no longer use as it is absolutely useless. I'm going to chat with STIHL, and have no doubt that my correspondence will be noted and ignored. I'll probably put the useless piece of rubbish on Gum Tree "free to the first sucker who wants it"
Battery lasts about 20 minutes and then takes hours to charge it – Light weight but blades break and use a lot of them. Doesn't suit my yard, runs out of battery before I finish it and takes ages to charge. I don't recommend it, avoid it. Show details
Stihl FSA 65 – Total inferior product. Bought this trimmer in December 2021 with 2 years warranty. Exactly after 2 years and only used it 6 times the electric motor burned out and no warranty was given by the company. Stihl did not even reply to my email. Show details
Frustrated user – Agree with others here, blades wear quickly, line continually breaks after about 30 seconds. Absolutely frustrating having to stop and renew line. results. Stihl needs to change head design or supply replacement. In my local government employment I used to service all the stihl products of which there was many and i am disappointed to say this is the worst stihl product I have encountered. Do not buy until the problem is addressed.
Frustrating and useless – Instead of trimming all I seem to do is constantly change the 1.6mm line which breaks within 30secs. There is NO spool so you have to measure out and manually feed one length (6cm) of line. As mentioned this is every 30seconds! The blades are expensive and wear down quickly too. Just don’t do it! Disappointing – Bump guard is set up for right handed people and I am left handed. Can still be used, but a bit awkward. No adjustment for bump guard height. I found it useless when edging alongside a footpath. Show details

well that does not work as the blades just break of wear down to easily.
I would no recommend to anyone and I am going to write it off as a bad purchase and buy the next couple of models up which has a bit more power. I am so sorry that I sold my Brushcutter now but it was big to use.
Great suits my needs! – This is a lightweight, easy to use whipper snipper. Takes about 2-3 hours to fully charge and it lasted for about 22 mins for me, which was enough time to do the front and the back yard. I didn't have to change any blades on my first usage but I will do so for the next usage as I was doing a fair bit of edging and it was overgrown and I am still not used to the machine. I love how easy this machine is to use. no more line to thread. Show details

No good – good - lightweight , charges fast , suitable for small gardens, easy to change blades bad - plastic blades break easily , line also the same and need to manually cut and fit it as per correct length or else it hits the tip of the guard and breaks off too . Not worth a buy. Show details

pair of disposable plastic blades which are the better option for cutting in the horizontal plane when the blade tips will not be contacting a hard object like a fence or a wall. Changing between blades and line or installing new line just takes a few moments but sure, it’s not as convenient as the usual bump-head type. Summarising the other disadvantages first, this is certainly no brush-cutter, and trimming thick or tough grass and vegetation will be slow and quickly drain the battery charge. The battery is internal, so there can be no replacement battery on hand to get back on with the job if you lose charge, you have to wait for the unit to recharge (maybe 40 mins?). At times of robust growth after (rare!) rain I don’t get my whole yard done on a single charge. The advantages (which have won me over) are that it is amazingly light to hold and quiet to use. It has a telescopic shaft (which I never adjust actually) and a pivoting head for cutting vertically. The system of a circuit plug to install and three buttons/levers to press simultaneously is not awkward to operate but would confound youngsters so that is a good safety feature. I have no regrets about this purchase.
