Sting Fusion Weight Gloves

Not comfortable – Harbinger gloves in general are not high quality. I ordered the Harbinger Big Grip 2 gloves which had poor stitching, and HarbingerFitness.com.au never responded to my complaint or why the product delivered was different to the picture on the web site.
Still looking for a long lasting glove – I had a pair of Harbinger gloves that lasted me almost 10 years. They were fairly thick but starting to get a bit tatty, so I thought I would upgrade. Big mistake. Went through 3 or 4 pairs of Harbinger gloves in a year, due to the wear of the thin leather and stitching falling apart. While this might be partly explained by my workouts getting a little more intense, I still expect better longevity for the price.
After looking around for a replacement, I was hoping the Sting Fusion gloves would be the answer. Kevlar is stronger than steel and used in bullet proof vests right. Well it didn't live up to my expectations. After 5 months the gloves look tatty and worn. The Kevlar itself has worn through in places and the stitching on the Kevlar pads seems to have also failed in a number of places exposing a thin layer of foam underneath.
While writing this review, I decided to pull off the Kevlar padding and guess what? The gloves themselves are in pretty good condition - might get another 1 or 2 months out of them yet!
One more thing I've got to say about the gloves is that while they are washable, don't wash them with anything else. Black dye runs like you wouldn't believe. The webbing on mine started out bright yellow, but now its a very dull green.
So I'm still on the hunt for gloves that last. If you see a boof-head in the gym wearing a thick set of gardening or riggers gloves, that might be me. Washable, comfortable Expensive, didn't last as long as I had hoped

Update: I've found some general purpose fingerless gloves "Pro Fit Gecko Grip". They were relatively cheap and 3 months on, show no signs of deterioration (they can be washed but do get whiffy). I think they are marketed to tradies but I saw identical looking gloves on Amazon sold as gym gloves.
