Looks pretty but flush is set to stun, there is a cheap and simple fix though – When a toilet design takes 2 full flushes to flush urine and 3 full flushes to flush #2’s something is wrong, it’s a poor design and factory water level is also set below the full line too. It’s not saving water it’s using more then just having one decent flush. There is a simple and affordable fix, replace the flushing mechanism with one of… Read more

these, as you can increase the maximum fill height it has an extendable overflow pipe, you also can set how much volume for a half and full flush. https://www.bunnings.com.au/fluidmaster-38mm-dual-button-cistern-outlet-valve_p4920425

While your there also replace the inlet valve with one of these and extend it till just past #12 setting and the top of the unit almost touch’s the top of the lid, it will fill quieter, and allow you to set a new higher float level. https://www.bunnings.com.au/fluidmaster-bottom-entry-toilet-inlet-valve_p4926949

Now one flush gets the job done, the bowl stays so much cleaner and it’s using less water overall.

Agree with the other reviews - it's hopeless – There is an overused saying that "you get what you pay for". In relation to this toilet cistern, it is actually true. It's worthy of 1 star because it does actually flush. But it doesn't have enough force and/or not adequate water is released to flush the toilet properly. It also stops very suddenly, as if to let you know that there will be no… Read more

more water released. We find we have to actually hold the button down to get an approximate effective flush, which isn't adequate anyway. How are these companies allowed to retail these products to consumers? It isn't fit for purpose. Oh, and you waste water because you have to flush up to 5 times to flush No 2s.

Always leaves poo behind in toilet – Family was pressured to buy this line by a plumber. Does not refill to top line. Even if it did this may still be a problem. Leaves behind stuff that should be flushed. Show details

Poor flushing – Do not purchase this toilet, I have one installed by my builder. Need to flush 2-3 times for solids and urine to flush away. Also slow to refill the cistern to be able to flush again. Defeats the purpose of water saving. I’ll be calling caroma tomorrow. Definitely not happy. Customers beware! DO NOT INSTALL into your house. Show details

Stylus Prima 11 Toilet Suite – Needed a replacement for our two toilet suites in our home. I read most of the reviews from this site and was somewhat shocked at the bad reports, they almost turned me off purchasing the Prima 11 toilet suite. After some further research and viewing, an installed unit, we purchased one to try out. We bought the unit from Eagles Plumbing supplies… Read more

at Lake Haven NSW, the salesman was great. Retro fitting the new toilet suite to the existing bathroom was completed with ease. It was bedded using clear silicon as we intend refurbishing the bathroom at some later stage. The toilet suite works well, flushes without an issue and is silent when water is filling the cistern. After a week of use we went and purchased an other Prima 11 toilet suit, for our ensuite. This is a quality product, that was purchased for $328, which is value for money for a full vitreous china toilet suite

Absolute crap toilet. I cannot believe that caroma would sell a toilet like this – I have been putting up with this bloody toilet not flushing properly for years and did a search online for the brand and came up with this product review on the same toilet. I called Caroma to ask if they would consider replacing the cistern for me the same way as they did for the other customers and because mine was out of warranty, they said… Read more

that they could not do anything for me. I had hoped that they would send a replacement as they know this is a faulty one. Out of principal i will not buy another caroma toilet ever again. I truly wish that companies would look after there customers more. It would be a simple matter of sending me the valencia cistern like they did for others, even if i had to get a plumber to install, I would be happy. Instead I now feel very unhappy with the company and certainly won't recommend them to others in my family or friends.

The toilet that could not flush a turd! – Built our new house with 3x of these stupid toilets 5 years ago, every single crap needs to be flushed at least twice, which is only a problem since these days you need to wait for the energy saving water restricted line to refill it very slowly. Anyhow 4 years of un flushed crap and decided to rip em out, have 3x double flush (sometime tripple flush) toilets for sale.

Looks nice, doesn’t flush properly – In line with the other reviews these don’t flush properly. I have been chasing this issue with my builder and also Caroma for about 5 years. Finally I get some answers but the solution provided to me by Caroma is to buy replacement parts to fix it. Not good enough! Show details

Toilet is bad. But Caroma service is great – This toilet came with my new home. (One year old). They always had the worst flush. After disgusting my issue with Caroma, they were quick to send replacement Valencia cisterns (within a week). Great customer service.

Don't flush out your waste. Still waiting for response from Caroma – As other reviewers have noted these toilets are not worthy for sale as they don't flush out your waste. I have contacted Caroma - they said that they will organise to fix this but I'm still waiting for definite action from Caroma. I have contacted the department of Fair Trading and they have stated that "A product needs to be fit for it's purpose"… Read more

which clearly these toilets are not. I will keep you updated on Caroma's response. In the meantime I recommend buying a different toilet. cheers

Doesn't work correctly as supplied – Built a new home & had these toilets fitted by the builder only to find after handover that they don't work correctly & need 2x or 3x flushes to clear the bowl. After reading these reviews here, I contacted Caroma & they organised for their plumber to come out & replace the cisterns at no cost to me. The tank is off a Venecia suite & it larger &… Read more

holds more water plus the valve that controls the flushing is adjustable. The plumber showed me how to remove the valve & adjust the flush water volume if it was required.

Fantastic commitment to customer service from Caroma. The plumber advised that Caroma are phasing out the old non adjustable flush valves & new Stylus II suites will come from the factory WITH this new style adjustable flush valve.

Easy swap with old toilet – The main reason I bought this is because it doesn't require a very long outlet pipe to avoid the need to extend it. Most other toilets need one about 220mm long and this one needs 150mm which is very useful when replacing an old dux or caroma toilet. Saved me a lot of time and this is key since we only have one toilet. My flush seems to work… Read more

fine. It rarely leaves anything behind. Maybe because mine is a p trap. Perhaps other reviewers have a s trap? I also adjusted the water to the max water level. However the flush is quite weak and I imagine the extra bend of an s trap could be enough to give issues

Overall quite happy.

Poor Flushing, Bad Design – Built a new house. Stylus Prima 11 supplied by builder as standard. Both units require two or three flushes to be effective. Even the single (low) flush does not dispose of urine properly. Multiple flushes destroys the concept of saving water. On the face of it, selling these units (new) clearly not being fit for purpose may be a breach of Australian Consumer Law.

Inadequate flushing – Similar to other reviews here, this model has inadequate flushing abilities - which contradicts the advertised star rating. While a very stylish & compact unit, it has required 2 flushings from day 1 (installed 20 Dec 2017) & is now making a 'noise' when it begins to refill. Sadly still waiting on a response from the manufacturer. Was also in the… Read more

Flushing efficiency certainly an issue – I thought the point of water efficient appliances was that one could achieve the required effect using less water. I am therefore quite disappointed that, as others have said, it requires two or three flushes to produce a waste free pan. I agree that the appliance looks good suiting very well the new bathroom we have recently had installed. I… Read more

Poor flushing – This is a very neat unit and in its close-coupled configuration looks great and is a value for money. The only gripe I have and that too being a major one, is that it takes several attempts to flush everything down. And like the previous reviewer, it takes 2-3 attempts at least, a major water wastage exercise and the time taken for the tank to fill up, which is dismally slow. We have three of these cisterns.

Don't go there!!! – At the plumbing supplies shop, the Stylus Prima II looked neat and (relatively) attractive, was well priced and had a WELS 4 star water rating. After installation (3 suites) we've found that flushing (floating) solids in one go is beyond the capabilities of this design. It's a minimum 2 flushes, sometimes 3 to remove all (floating) solids. … Read more

Not only is this a waste of water, but time as well as one awaits the cistern refill.

So, just don't go there - get a proper flushing toilet.

Definitelly NOT a happy vegemite on this one.
