Sunbeam GoLunch HP3000 Questions & Answers
VerifiedI’ve just been given one after my microwave started smoking. What do I do with the black rubbery air vent on inner lid? And do I put the outer plastic lid on or off when the appliance is heating something?
You need to have both lids on.
I want to buy it
I lost the base and cord of this appliance. Where can I buy a replacement? Thank you. Ester
I am not sure Try to contact sunbeam
Thank you Shandy. Will try that.
hello Ester K, Sorry, we no longer make the GoLunch and unfortunately don't have any spare parts left for that model.
would a kettle cord suit it and fit it?

Hello Ester, We unfortunately no longer range the GoLunch, so we do not stock any parts for it.
How long does it take to re-heat the food?
Its my partners but I beleive 2 & 1/2 hrs. PN Roce can dry out perhaps add water or liquid prior to re-heating.
The instructions say 2 hrs but I did it for an hour and it's a good temp
How come it takes so long just to reheat? It only takes 20 minutes to cook white rice from raw rice. Will this be very energy consuming and inconvenience, especially reheat lunch in office?
Can I put the stainless steel removable food container in the fridge?
Can I reheat the stainless steel removable food container straight from the fridge?
Hi there, my partner puts left overs in the fridge in the container overnight, then takes to work puts in fridge again until he plugs in, he has had no issues, loves it!
Of course you can. I often prepare my food the night before, leave it in the fridge overnight, then take it with the warmer to work. When I get to work, I put it on. Will be the prefect temperature at lunch time.
I was wondering would the system shut off when it reach 75 degree and turn it back on when the food is cold?
No you turn it on and off via the power point after 2 to 3 hours.
Hi, is the inner lid made of plastic or stainless steel? Thanks.
Bowl is stainless steel with a push on stainless steel lid with steam vent.
Hi Gezza
Thank s! So there's no plastic inside where the food is?
Tq.
So sorry have made an error re my answer to your question re lid!! The lid that goes on to the stainless steel container is plastic, with a vent, not stainless steel.
Thanks for checking back Gezza. Appreciate that.
Hi - how long does the hot food stay warm - i want to use it for camping.
Thanks,,
Simon
Im not quiet sure, i heated mine for 3-4 hours and ate it after that.. but it doesnt heat that good
Is the lid also stainless-steel? Or is it plastic?
The lids are plastic.
Is there any chance of purchasing spare internal bowls ?
Not that I am aware of. Not sure why you would need a spare internal bowl, they are made of stainless and will probably outlast the rest of the food warmer.
Im not too sure sorry, i brought mine on the sumbeam website, id email the customer support.
I love mine but I have an issue with the internal lid 'popping' up at times when the pressure inside it gets too much. Is this normal?
Mine did the same, i had to end up pressing it down before i turned it on but making sure all the air was out, if that doesnt work contact sunbeam for a replacement.
No, Luana, I've never had that problem. Try "burping" the metal container when you have the lid on, by pushing on the little round valve with your finger. Its the thing with the cross cut in it.
I do that when I put it in but I have to do it several times during the heating process - it pushes the white lid up so that it's hard to turn to get off.
Hi there, my partner works on site and doesn't have access to a plug. Do you need to plug this in? Can it be a USB cord into the car?
Hi Jess,
Unfortunately the HP3000 requires to be plugged into a power outlet.
Kindest Regards

Can you use this like a slow cooker? How long would it take to cook pasta?
To my knowledge it simply warms food at a safe temperature that is to say that it wouldn't get hot enough to cook something. I mean it may do but I do not use it for this purpose, simply as a food warmer and I LOVE IT! I use it daily :-)
Hi WobbyG,
As per Kim's reply this is used for more of a food warmer to eliminate the long queue for the microwave at the workplace or school.
I would suggest in using it as a slow cooker to cook up food from scratch.

I didn't realise it took two hours to eat. Does it takse that long even for a tin of soup?
By what I can see you need to take your food out of the fridge and have it at room temp for 15 mins and then put in go lunch. Also apparently it keeps the food well rather than sloppy like a microwave xcan make sometimes.
I was just looking at their website and it says to put it on when you get to work so your lunch is ready at lunch time. So it must keep the food nice buy heating it gently like a slow cooker would.
