bottle turns, so does the liquid inside - so all of the liquid cools much quicker than just sitting it in the freezer. A great tool when all of your bottles are warm!

Love this product – If you follow the instructions this wine chiller, chills a bottle of wine in eight minutes. Add ice and water as instructed. The action of HD moving water and ice will chill a bottle of wine in 8 minutes as advertised. We love this wine chiller.

Sunbeam should be taken to the ACCC over this – So its a wine chiller ? Well no, it is a bucket with a spinning impeller at the bottom that uses the power supply only to spin the water around - not chill anything. actively chill wine. Luckily I only paid $ 5 for mine at a market sale and I can see why they were glad to get rid of it. If I had bought this in a store at full price I would demand a refund and report Sunbeam to the ACCC for misleading advertising and I reckon I'd have won too. As it is, think of it as a micro washing machine that only only agitates one way - like my mother's did when I was seven years old and it used to tangle all the clothes up. Now that gives me an idea - maybe I can use it to wash my socks in because it sure as anything won't be used for chilling wine.

I wonder if the genius that dreamt this up still works for Sunbeam ? Five bucks and I still feel like I have been conned !

Blatant false advertising – If I had bought this at retail pricing I would either have taken it back or sued Sunbeam. No wonder it has been discontinued. be an outright lie that this thing cools better than popping it into the freezer. What happens if you have no ice and the water is already at room temperature ?

I am going to keep the item however for next time I get into a discussion about how easy it is for companies to mislead you. (I was going to use the word rip but that might be considered aggressive). I will have a live (!) sample demonstrating the principle.

I will have to admit I will look twice at anything from Sunbeam from now on.

Total waste of space – It is not a wine chiller. It's an expensive wine bucket. The instructions say "and ideally add two trays of ice cubes". Should say if you don't add ice it won't do anything except circulate tap water around yr bottle. If you do add ice it will circulate the cold water around your bottle. will be happy buying a product that simply doesn't work and then trust Sunbeam next time they go to buy another electrical product. I certainly won't.

Absolute Rubbish & False Advertising – This thing is a joke- Sunbeam should be sued for false advertising. This thing is no more than a very expensive bucket. First you need to add ice and water, and the 'cooler' agitates the water to allegedly cool the bottle. Yes- you read right- you need to add ICE and WATER to cool your bottle.....that makes this thing a BUCKET, then. Do yourself a favour- buy a 99 cent bucket from Bunnings, which will do a better job. Less than zero stars.

Terrific if you have limited fridge space – I don't use mine anymore because I have three fridges however when we loved it when we had limited space. If you follow the instructions properly it is great. However if it has been heated up from sitting in a car too long or in a very hot room for days it will take longer as can be expected.

Agree - wine chiller is a waste of time and money – I have bought Sunbeam products for years but found the wine chiller the worst of their products to date. It is supposed to chill the wine in 8 minutes but it is more like 30 minutes. Even then it is not as cold as if you were to put a bottle into the freezer. You also have to fiddle around with ice cubes and water. Not what the adds portray it to be. Disappointed.

Find it a great asset – I have one which I find great for chilling wine quickly. Easy to use and can then be placed on table.

Dreadful rip off – Just does NOT work at all and is a complete waste of money. Should be had up for false advertising as putting into a freezer would be much quicker instead of mucking around with buckets of ice cubes etc. and even then it doesnt chill in eight minutesand is a complete dud. Love mine – I have had one of these for years, I love it, just put in the bottle add some water and ice and in 8 to 10 minutes, your wine is fully chilled. When we have guests over, I can be drinking a chilled wine whilst chilling another. I don't have to keep a fridge full of wine. It is much faster than putting the wine in the fridge. Perfect when you want to chill wine quickly

Terrible – Well!!! xmas morning (that year) and opened my present from my man...SURPRISE...This sunbeam wine chiller was staring at me. WoW!! was my response...I thought WoW..after months had passed since I mentioned it (in short) that it looked nice and i thought it was a great idea, I was so excited to see it there infront of me...and this was really due to the fact that my man had actually paid some attention. Anyway I put it up on my top cupboard where it sat for that year and the next and the next, until the next year I decided it's high time I give it a whirl, so i took it down and got it out of the box and thought..Yep it looks great! I then read the instructions which said you need two trays of ice cubes to put inside the chiller...Well!! There was my first problem...not only did I not have enough ice (I only usually keep one unless having a few guests over), I thought What The?? That's more than what i use in my normal bucket wine chiller, then I read more and it said to add water and set the timer etc.. Well I decided that it was just too much hassle after all I really only want a wine to stay chilled...not chill from room temp as I rarely buy a room temp one and if I do I 'PLAN AHEAD' anyway and put it straight in the fridge. So I put this wine chiller back in it's box and back up on top of my kitchen pantry shelf where it still sits to this day. Looks nice in the box though..not sure if it's right to give it to someone as a present as I don't know if that would be 'COOL' or 'CRUEL'?? Looks nice and stylish Everything else!

Terrible – If you follow the instructions and add two trays of ice cubes, it pretty much defeats the purpose of using this, I would think. You might as well save yourself the trouble of wasting those ice blocks and put the bottle of wine into the fridge while you're putting together your meal and it will be cold in no time. to glass before you pour your wine in. I was very disappointed that it was a waste of time and am very relieved that it was given to me as a gift and that I did not waste my money on purchasing it. It has a stylish and modern design. It looks great sitting on the bar and looks like it would make a great gift to buy someone. The product's function is misleading. It doesn't do what you are lead to believe it does.

Terrible – A complete dud. Doesn't work unless you fill container with ice and can wait 2 hours. Might as well stick in fridge. Doesn't chill without ice. Sounded a good idea It doesn't work. Wouls be quicker waiting for winter.

Terrible – Don't waste your money on this product. All it does is to circulate the water around the bottle. There is no chilling process in this product. bottle into the freezer for 8 minutes. The 'idea' that it chills a bottle of wine in 8 minutes. Doesn't work! After one hour it was still no colder than if it had been put into the fridge.
