Sunline Australia Aquavent Pool Blanket

Keeps the pool clean – We recently had to replace our old pool cover which have disintegrated into a thousand pieces through years of sun and heat, and after much research we decided to go with the Aquavent pool cover. This cover offers the same protection of the other brands on the market with the addition of tiny pinholes that allows it to breath. So far what we have discovered with this cover is that these tiny pinholes allow water to pass through them meaning water sits on the top of the blanket, now when this water evaporates you are left with an unsightly mess of salt turning your blanket from a beautiful blue colour to a tired looking blue cover with white salt stuck to it. You can hose it off but it doesn't fully remove it so you need to painstakingly wash it as you are rolling it up, which is not fun with a 9 metre long pool. We also notice that because the water seeps through, it does mean that the water level goes down, not as fast as it does without the cover but it does drop.

Other than this it is a good blanket but whether it lasts longer than our last one that is yet to be determined, and with how expensive these are compared to other brands I just don't know if we would go down this path again. Only time will tell I suppose.

*The salt sitting on the blanket in the photos had been cleaned off thoroughly a couple of days ago and hosed down this morning, so isn't anywhere as bad as it has been.
