On reading other reviews, there seems to be a pattern of excess charging and poor customer service. paying. You can try all you like to contact them and wait for too long to try and speak with someone on the phone. I thought it was finally fixed, but the late payment charge remained. Stay clear. I do not recommend Supagas to anyone.
Be aware. This company has wrongly charged be a yearly usage fee when I wasn't even using their cylinders. I have attempted to gave this issue fixed numerous times with emails and phone calls... nothing!! Never a response to an email. almost a year due to poor service. Please beware when choosing this gas provider on Sunshine Coast Leanne Bell
Supagas would be one of the worst businesses to deal with. Charged for a late payment fee that was their fault. Sent emails with no response, placed on hold for hours when finally got through they said they would sort out the issue 5 months later still on going. Terrible customer service. Would not recommend Show details

Terrible. After 18 months we had to change. From office staff accounts delivery drivers and managers all hopeless. Their invoicing system is useless you get incorrect invoices and can’t pay the correct ones. The delivery drivers are incompetent and breaching safe work practices. Safety chains would not be used on cylinders. I would get phone calls… Read more
from the delivery driver saying help I need help to deliver his gas cylinder when I’m 40 minutes away at work so he would ask women and the general public to help him which is illegal. He told his manager he couldn’t back up the driveway because he might damage it but the day before he had reversed up. Numerous complaints over many months and finally get an email from a manager saying it depends on which driver is on as to whether we get a delivery or not. After 2 emails and 2 phone calls and a month later they finally collect their empty cylinders. When you ring the office they say good morning when it’s afternoon. I also question if the cylinders are filled correctly as some cylinders would last a month others 2 months? Unbelievable

Like many others, I was drawn to Supagas for their cheaper LPG cylinder prices, but I never expected their infamous service quality could be so frustrating. The story begins when I moved into a new house and found Supagas cylinders left by the previous owner. I called Supagas to open an account, received a sign-up email, and completed the… Read more
registration. However, I was immediately unable to log into my account—an issue that persists to this day. This was the beginning of the nightmare.
After signing up in late June, Supagas went completely silent. There were no follow-up calls, emails, or any form of contact. I made several more calls and was repeatedly told that a "local agent would contact me." This never happened. No call, no text, no email—nothing.
Meanwhile, we had no gas for cooking or hot water and had to boil water just to take a shower. By July 16th, I couldn't take it anymore and signed up with Origin, which was a very smooth process. I had two 45kg Origin gas cylinders delivered without any issues.
Then, on August 2nd, I received a $70 invoice from Supagas. The invoice listed no items or services. I immediately emailed them, explaining that I had never received any service or supply and requested they cancel the charge. There was no response. I sent a follow-up email and still got no response.
Frustrated, I used their online chat and had to explain the situation repeatedly to multiple staff members. Eventually, someone who seemed to be a senior manager promised to investigate the case and cancel the bill. This was in mid-August, and I thought the matter was settled.
But now, in September, I've received another payment reminder. I am completely fed up with this ordeal. I am now blocking their emails and sharing my story here as a warning. If you're considering Supagas for their cheap prices and your experience is smooth, good for you. But be aware that you could be stepping into a minefield where they might completely ignore you and then try to charge you for nothing.
Regarding their sign-up procedure: It was confusing and seemed unprofessional. The first sign-up link they sent on June 23rd came from noreply@jotform.com. After I filled it out, I was completely ignored. Then, on August 1st, I received another email asking me to create a password, this time from admin@supagas.com.au. Their customer account management seems to be in chaos, and I would advise staying away.
Just a quick follow-up: I received an apology phone call, which shows that at least someone at… Read more
I am writing in regards to a terrible customer experience I have received today regarding a falsely claimed late notice I received today via email. it was the rental fee, I then requested proof of the initial invoice being sent to me… crickets.
I called the 1300 017 872 line - on hold for 17 mins, terminated the call.
I then received a very aggressive message about my overdue bill. The nature of this message upset me greatly.
I called the 1300 017 872 line again - waited 23mins to connect - the operator was mostly unhelpful, I asked to speak to a manager, she put me on hold.. Then no surprises, hung up on me !!
I then called 13 78 72 - connected with Vanessa - who very quicky determined that yes, because of a timeline issue of when I had purchased a gas bottle combined with the statement release, my account was in credit, so I never received that initial invoice.
So this abrupt late notice this THE FIRST TIME I WAS NOTIFIED OF THE OUTSTANDING PAYMENT !!!
[Name Removed], while able to assist with my enquiry, getting to the bottom of the issue, mostly tried to shift blame to accounts receivable & make sure I was aware the local branch was the innocent party.
Never really acknowledging that it was me, a so far perfect customer who was the innocent party.
I find this experience lackluster at best, I am greatly offended by the text message. Stating I am outside of payment terms & this may affect future trading with SupaGas.
Your processes, procedures, team cohesiveness and phone operators all need reviewing.
Please note, I have requested an invoice be sent to me for reference with correct payment terms - I'm doubtful of this.
I have also requested a follow up call from management level to confirm my issues raised will be taken seriously - even more doubtful this will eventuate.

go pick up your truck and do your job? haha. Can't wait for the day they try to claim these costs, accc is going to have a field day with the investigation, so I've been told.
Probably wouldn't use this mob hey, since they never sent to collections and have subsequently added late fees for years and years, my guess they're trying to snowball accumulative costs and late fees over 25 years and try to finally claim several thousand dollars of unearned revenue from you.
Wonder how many people they're doing this to that don't actually receive services anymore but still get billed relentlessly after requesting to close account years ago.
Business must not be doing too good for them that they have to act in a predatory manner and also just leave their cylinders around trying to bill old customers instead of collecting and delivering to a new customer.

We presume it is because some years ago the then, and still current, Bayswater Manager was found roaming our property without our knowledge and we suggested he should have contacted us first. I am very pleased to have changed to Supagas. After numerous issues with my previous provider, I was thankful for the efficient service Supagas provided, delivering new cylinders late the same evening. It was reassuring to be looked after in such a timely and well-ordered manner. The positive cost difference is yet another reason I am happy with my decision. Show details · 1

Do yourself a favour and stay away from Supagas. We cancelled the account within the required timeframe after months of repeated email correspondence, invoice amendments, and delays. With no other option due to obvious tactics and incompetent customer service, we returned the LPG cylinders at our own cost (including a half-full cylinder). Eventually, we received a $0 balance invoice, which we reasonably assumed confirmed the account was closed.
Despite this, we are still being issued late payment fees nearly a year later on amounts previously acknowledged as incorrect. No email responses on multiple follow ups.
Based on our experience, we strongly recommend others think carefully before opening an account with Supagas.

This is some of the poorest customer service we have received from a company. It raises governance issues as other people (who are not so savvy) may end up paying money they don’t owe.

I have had a very poor experience dealing with Supergas and would advise potential customers to be cautious. contacted Supergas as soon as I became aware of this and was told on multiple occasions that the late fee would be removed, as the issue was caused by their failure to issue or deliver the invoice. Despite repeated phone calls and live chat conversations, this has not been resolved.
Being charged a late fee for an invoice that was never received is unacceptable and raises concerns under Australian consumer law. I am now considering escalating this matter to the ACCC and the relevant Energy Ombudsman due to the lack of resolution.
As a result of this ongoing issue, I have lost confidence in Supergas as a supplier and am now seeking an alternative provider over a $13 late fee that should never have been applied.

they send you a letter saying that I'll get chared for the invoice postage as I didn't provide correct email. I also had troubles signing into their website, I rang to order as couldn't access my account, was told do it online, I said can't log in and several calls later worked twice, then wanted to sign in wrong password...no. This is an ongoing issue, on and off sometimes it works sometimes it's not. So frustrating, just don't need the stress comes with them.
Now new issue added to the list; I've oredered 1 cylinder last July, 2 was delivered. I rang right away and asked why, they told me bacuse I ordered 2. NOT! Why would I, I've 2 don't need the 3rd, I don't even have a spot for it so they just left it on the dirt along the fence!! Anyway, I was reassured that 1 will be picked up...weeks later the bottle was still here, so I rang again and was firmly told that they will get it when they are around my area. I told them to make sure I won't get charged for it though, and was almost laughed at...guess what oh yeah...was charged for 3 bottle hire! PLUS also charged for late fee since July for the 3rd bottle!!! I've never seen this charge before, never got any notification to bring my attention to it. The 3rd cylinder that I actually never ordered nor used. I was trying to get in contact to rectify issues, rang twice got 2 different outcomes. Followed them both with nothing solved, then also contacted them via their website ; no response. Second time I was told it's with the 'right' department to follow up, just wait...today I've received an urgent invoice to pay my outstanding account which I do not have. I've paid for the 2 cylinders hire but not the third. Very frustarting. They couldn't sort it out for over 2 months, and not sure what will happen now as I'm igonring the invoice. I should go back to my previous provider although more expensive but sure hastle fee.
P.S. Please Supagas do not say to contcat as I emailed "accountsreceivable@supagas.com.au" as per YOUR advice on the 11th of December and have no response and according to previous reviews it's absolutly useless anyway!

place 8 years ago have apparently changed without notification so that they have started sending out overdue charges if invoice/statements are not paid immediately upon receipt, even though when we joined they only needed to be paid at end of the following month. We disputed the overdue charge and were told we had no choice but to pay it. Emails to them on the subject went unanswered.
We have 4 months ago changed over to a good supplier, but SupaGas keep on sending invoices for future bottle rental along with ever-mounting overdue charges on the previous overdue charges. Now they are disputing that one of their bottles have been returned to them by our new supplier who have provided documentation to them evidencing the return. BTW, our new supplier charges the same bottle rental per cylinder as SupaGas, but it is for 12 months, not 6 months like SupaGas - SupaGas bottle rental is double!
Today a SupaGas truck arrived unannounced and took their remaining bottle even though it is almost full, approx $120 dollars worth of LPG! The driver was shaking his head about them and basically saying they are terrible.
We move on, but the saga is probably not done as they are likely to chase up their illegal overdue charges that we refuse to pay.
Avoid SupaGas.
