Waste of money – I bought one of these last year and only one small section heated up, which you could only feel if you pressed down on it hard. Waste of money so I just ended up using it as a regular pet bed. Today I was thinking if throwing it out and decided to open it up to see what was actually going on inside. There was a very small heating element glued on… Read more
one side, between two layers of foam. Explains a lot. First pic is the heating element inside the foam layers, second is after I pulled it out, you can see it is way too small for size of the bed.
Excellent until it caught fire – We bought the mat to keep the chill out of his kennel during winter months. It was prefect for a kelpie. To the human touch the mat seemed only mildly warm, but warms up a lot more if the dog is using it as this traps the heat in. Over a few really cold nights and days we kept it on all the time until last night when our dog alerted us to the… Read more
smouldering in in his kennel and some small flames. It had clearly started from the wiring within the mat. I've attached photos. In future winters in going to try the heated brick, such doesn't attach to anything electrical - heats up in the microwave and can be put under his blanket.
Misrepresented product – A very small area at one end of a new 83 cm x 109 cm electrically heated bed heats up. Destructive examination of the same size old bed, which was replaced in the belief it was faulty, shows the heating element is only 23.5 cm x 33.5 cm - refer to image. Show details
only lasted a couple of weeks. Now just a expensive dog mat – Brought for larger dog. Within weeks stopped working. When I unzipped it the foam inside ripped up even though laying flat in dog kennel. When I went to zip the cover up to make it into mat the zipp threaded. So now no good even for a mat Show details
My cats love these beds – Purchased two of these in different sizes for my cats. They were both hits throughout the winter. Downside is the light on the transformer, really bright and totally unnecessary, one wonders how much extra power it uses. Both transformers have given up the ghost. One in one year. The other in two. Beds are fine but now not heated. Am about to request a controller without a bed.....to be continued. Show details
Excellent product – I purchased this heated bed for an older dog and it was perfect . No more circling the bed and scratching and ripping to pieces she loves it. And I know why after and accident I broke my back and now have slept on one for more than 2 years, the heat is perfect not to warm. The down side is need to be replaced every 12 months not so much for the… Read more
heating but for the foam and the green light is very bright so tape the light it will drive you crazy. Overall great product recommended by both my dogs and myself
Hardly Any Heat And Falling Apart – Very little heat but even worse the foam core has virtually disintegrated and impacted the heating element. Found this after removing cover for laundering. It is now useless. Attached label recommends replacing the bed after 5 years of use,my little girl was lucky to get 1 year out of it Show details
Barely heats up – I can’t feel any heat at all after hours of it being on, also the green light is super bright and annoying, no way to turn it off. Waste of money Show details
rubbish – no discernible heat after being switched on for over an hour, very expensive and no good at all for my old lady cat who needs a heated pet bed. Waste of time and money Show details
Not what I expected – The heated area is just a small patch in the middle of the bed (maybe 10% of area) If two or more pets - Only one will get the warm patch. Show details
Cat absolutely LOVES it! – Bought at The Reject Shop for $20. Wasn't expecting much but my cat absolutely LOVES it! Plugs into wall and heats up within an hour. Cat sleeps on it for hours!
