but it still taste bad. Do not buy this rice it is a waste of money. I gave it to the birds but the birds didn't eat it. They just ignored it. It is not for human consumption not birds or animals. I throwed the remaining rice and 2 bags of 5 kgs in the bin as I don't want to be sick eating plastic rice. This should be taken off the shelves. Wouldn't buy any SUNGROW brand anymore

Pathetic Rice Imitation – Rice is rubbish. After cooking it comes out dry. Clumps together when cool and hard to separate. Tastes like crap... plastic??? Will be complaining to trading standards. Not suitable for human consumption. Suspecting it is a GM product. Show details

Horrible rice!! – After reading where the rice was from I immediately have doubts about the quality of it. Absolutely disappointed about the texture, taste after m cooked in my rice cooker. It was nothing like the rice that i normally had. Think i will have to toss the whole 5kg in the bin. What a waste of money!

Horrible – Grew up eating rice, this is by far the worst I've ever tasted. Plastic like texture, dry and have no flavour whatsoever. I even tried to pre-soak it and add more water, still the same. Highly suspect this is similar to those fake rice that was floating around in Asia a few years back. This product should be looked into. Show details

It's not the best rice compared to Sunrise brand but it's not the worst either – It doesn't have a pleasant smell raw but had a fragrant to it when cooked. It wouldn't be my first choice but I would buy it again in a smaller quantity like 2kg instead of the 5kg that I bought thinking it was Sunrice hahaha. Poor quality rice – This rice does not have a nice smell either raw or cooked. The cooked grains look brittle and clump together rather than being light and fluffy. If I add more water I get soggy clumps. The rice tastes like it has been stored in sacking and doesn't smell fragrant. Cold leftover rice becomes a solid mass which I have to bash to break it apart if I reheat it or use it for fried rice. A waste but I am putting the rest into my compost. Show details

So bad and it is NOT medium grain – I bought 2 bag of 5kg.. trusting it is what it was labelled as "medium grain". When came home and opened up, it looked just like a jasmin rice grain and on top of it, it smell really bad. When cooked, it so smelly bad and very dry (eventhough i have put alot of water) and didnt taste good at all that my kids could not eat all - I gave all away to birds. I would NEVER buy this again. Taj classic rice 5kg – This rice smells disgusting and too bad to use. Wouldn't buy it again. Since they have a 100% money back guarantee I called but they said I need the receipt even though I have the rice to send proof but they wouldn't refund. Show details

Do not even try this – At first, I thought it was sunrice brand and turned out to be not the one. The worst tasting rice you can find in the market. You can try this if you wanna loose your appetite and loose some weight. Show details

cookers we have and they came out perfectly unlike the Sungrow brand. Makes me wonder whether what you see on line with rice being made out of plastic true because that is what Sungrow tastes like when cooked. Needs to be taken of supermarket shelves it’s that bad!!!
