I’m extremely disappointed with my experience with WestOz and Tanita Australia. WestOz does not handle warranty issues themselves and immediately passes customers on to Tanita Australia. From there, the process became frustrating and outdated. I was asked to send multiple photos and videos just to prove that a brand‑new scale had a broken button. I called several times for updates and was spoken to rudely, even though I was told to call in the first place. After more than a week, I still have no update on a replacement. Everything is handled through slow email chains, and the whole process feels inefficient and customer‑unfriendly.
WestOz came back and offered to replace my BCM.
Tanita have great products and service to match – After my disappointment with the BC-402 scales, specifically the app compatibility, Boba at Tanita has reached out and offered me an exchange for this BC-401 model. I'm extremely happy and appreciate this terrific service. I'll update this review with more details once I've had some time to use the 401s.
