Absolutely Awesome LED TV. Totally Understated and Under Rated – Well I purchased this 46" TCL Full HD LED TV second hand (5 years old) for well under $100 in February 2019 expecting not much from this relatively unknown, second tier TV Brand. I've always thought of TCL as a cheap alternative to the big names. But as soon as I turned on this TCL LED TV I was astounded! Fantastic colour and fantastic sound to boot. Yes that's right!. I looked behind this TV and noticed what looked like a built-in Sound bar right along the bottom which contains two big top-quality speakers. The sound is rich and clean at both the high tones and the low tones. People talking sound crystal clear. In a nutshell the sound is amazing! The picture is as good, if not better than my 4 year old 47" LED LCD TV in the living room. And I thought that picture was terrific. This TCL TV has a very solid build and is mounted firmly onto a large solid glass base ensuring it sits quite sturdily on the TV cabinet. This TCL TV definitely wont be falling over accidentally or otherwise. What more could you ask for in a biggish budget-priced LED LCD TV today? So now I'm going to swap these 2 TVs over to make this TCL the home's main TV.

Do not recommend. Constantly breaking down – Keeps breaking (main power board, internal antenna, pvr) and that's all within the first year. Rude customer service by TCL and Video Factory at Southport, QLD. Repairs have taken over 3 weeks each time. Save yourself the headache and purchase another brand. Do not recommend. You get what you pay for... Bad quality TV and customer service
L46E5390FE model bad – Just got this tv - very bad picture quality like you are watching the tv screen through a white film - the sound is horrible voices are not clear and words are pronounced with crackles when s is used - would advise caution when buying a 'cheaper unknown tv brand'. The text size on the tv is tiny and also the remote is very hard and made with very poor quality materials. screen size ghost film over the screen. Picture is not sharp. Speakers/sound horrible, remote is poor quality as well
Impressed with TCL 42" LCD/LED TV – We had been looking around for a decent-sized LCD/LED TV with full-HD and a PVR function for a few months until we saw this TV. It's a great TV with a very clear picture and good sound, although sometimes the volume does have to be turned up to about 30 - 40 to hear properly, as we have it situated in a large room. It would probably be better paired with a good Home cinema 5.1 system.
The PVR function is easy to work with. The only disappointment with it is that the PVR writes in a proprietary format and is therefore useless to watch on another brand TV or laptop via USB stick. I do hope that TCL will sort this out.
Bought it with an extra three-year warranty. Clear picture, energy efficient, Light PVR recording in non-standard format
