Job well done, I would call them again – Called the Antenna king yesterday and he said he would come out in the morning as our tv reception had just stopped working during heavy rain. He arrived the next morning after calling half hour before arriving. When he arrived he tested behind the wall and then said needed to go on to the roof to check the antenna. Our antenna was broken and he… Read more

showed us a piece which was lying on the roof. He quoted us $300 for a new antenna which I thought was fair. This was installed straight away. The technician then tuned our tv and everything work perfectly. I was happy with the total bill which was $300 plus the service call of $120.

I had called Mr. Antenna and there cheapest antenna was $450 and this was before they even attended. I think I got a good deal as you never know with unknown people coming to your house. I would call The Antenna King again....

Great Service & Great Vaue For Money! – I had Kahn come out for a service call to reattach our old analogue antenna to the chimney from which it was blown down from during the recent bad weather we had in Melbourne. He quoted me a very reasonable price of $120 over the phone to do the job. Upon inspection he informed me it me it would cost an additional $180 for a new bracket to be… Read more

attached to the chimney as the old one was damaged. I already felt I was getting a good deal prior to this additional cost. He tested the reception and told me the signal was very weak and that he could not gaurentee the reception would be the great once he reattached the old analogue antenna. We were still getting some reception from the old antenna albeit pixelated. I enquired about the cost to install a new digital antenna to the chimney and he qouted me $485. Still not bad considering other qoutes I received from competitors were in the range of $600 - $700. Rather than do the job for that price, he told me he could reattach the new antenna to the side of the house and it would be just as good. Total cost $340. A saving of $145. Even though he stood to lose money on the job, he was honest and upfront preferring to do the job at a lower cost. His honesty was a breath of fresh air. Alot of other companies could learn a great deal from his honest and trustworthy way of doing business. The job was done in less than 30 minutes. He has been doing this work for over 20 years and is an expert in the field. His work comes with a 10 year gaurentee as well as a 10% pensioner discount. He was friendly and professional and did a great job. The reception signal strength and picture quality is 100% on all channels and alot clearer and sharper to watch. Couldn't ask for a better outcome. I would highly recommend Kahn and his company to anyone considering using their services. 5 stars.

not trustworthy and rude service guy – this guy came to our house to fix the antenna. we did not know what the problem was as we just moved to this house. he mentioned on the phone $100 service call and most likely this will be it. when he came to us, he said the circuit board (Amplifier) was broken so needs to be replaced costing us $190. we asked for discount he said this is the… Read more

product price. he charged us another $30 for a simple fly lead which is $10 at Bunnings. when he left we could not find any amplifier anywhere. we just found a splitter that he mentioned he installed that for free. i checked the signal coverage in our area (through myswitch website) and apparently we do not need any amplifier. we asked for the brand he used and what he said is $80 only even though we believe he hasn't installed anything for us other that a cheap splitter box. apart from all these issues, we found him very rude as well as he told us we are BEGGING for discount (begging is for sure better than ripping off others). this is actually the consequences of not doing proper research before letting someone into your house. if I have read the reviews before I would not have contacted him at all.

Great service – We had a great experience using the Antenna King. The technician turned up right on time. We had no reception due to a broken antenna. He replaced the antenna and had the TV working in no time at all. It can't have been easy as we have a double storey home with a tin roof. No call out fee, just the cost of the antenna and labour.

TV Antenna Installer Unusual Business Ethics – We were desperate to have TV reception over the long weekend and NOT a single Jims' Antenna representative was interested in helping so The Antenna King answered our call and stated he would phone near 9am on Monday but would NOT state any costs (service call or antenna price, etc). On Monday, at close to 10 am, The Antenna King arrived and… Read more

started inspecting the job. As the existing antennas had used an outdated satellite system, 2 new digital antennas were needed as well as 2 splitter boxes to provide additional points. Each antenna was $229 and each splitter box was $30 but the service call (for a total distance of less than 5 km) was $120. After paying over $600, I went to move the furniture back only to find all of the coaxial cable cuttings not picked up but just left on the floor. Although we now have reception at 3 points (yep only 3), I feel ripped off!
