We’ve had the system for three years. First year was great we had no dramas. Ever since then it’s been nothing but. The heater doesn’t heat and we’ve had theralux and Reece out multiple times. The outflow pipe from the heater has leaked sink I can remember even when you bypass it so valves are broken but their technicians never replaced them. The… Read more

multi coloured light system now doesn’t give us all the colours it’s meant to and to top it off looks like the cell in the chlorinator has trash itself. Honestly I wish we’d been given other options because this system is a waste of money

Avoid this product at all costs. We bought a Theralux system. The first year the pool pump broke and was fixed under warranty, the second year our heat pump broke and it took Reece 5 months to fix it, now just after the warranty finished the pool pump has broken again.... I have written to Reece and complained and they have not responded. We… Read more

have now replaced the pool pump with another provider. Our pool maintenance firm suggested we do not pursue Reece as we would be better of spending the money to have an non-theralux product....

AVOID. AVOID. AVOID. Bought a house that had a theralux pump installed and its having issues with the chlorinator. As per other reviews, Reece, Theralux and Jims pools had no interest in servicing or fixing the problem. what's the point of selling these when there is such poor post sale service.

Theralux warranty turned to custard – We put in a brand new pool and was recommended by the Installer that Theralux Mineral Pool Systems was the way to go. We had issues with the Pro pH dosser - Theralux did turn up after a lengthy email battle with the unit replaced and everything worked well for 12mths. Again the problem reoccurred this time ask to contact Reece Plumbing another… Read more

battle of the emails took place after 3 weeks they sent me new equipment, a new Digital Chlorinator Pro c/w Chlorine Cell and Wifi pH Pro dosser and Probe (which i see is no longer on their web page, For Warranty this equipment needs to be installed by a qualified Theralux Tech otherwise I will void any warranty left. The Reece Rep just stated it was plug and play which it isn't and just said you the parts case closed see you later. At present I would no longer recommend Theralux to anyone. Caveat - should by miracle this change I will update this post.

Theralux Warranty and eqipment poor quality – For the past 12+ months my chlorinator has had problems, reading low water when in fact it was full. Theralux initially sent a trade to repair this but the fault came back soon after. For the past 6 months the issue has worsen with promises of repair, yet to be scheduled. Aparently resource issues. For the last 3 months the filter and chlorinator… Read more

Good product, terrible after sales service – TLDR: Still waiting on a warranty claim after submitting it over 12 months ago. Our pool builder used Theralux mineral pool system (pump, chlorinator and filter) for our new pool build in 2019/2020. The system worked well, until the variable speed pump failed after around 2 years, still within the warranty period. After logging a warranty… Read more

claim online in April 2022, it took over 4 weeks worth of follow-up emails and phone calls (me calling them daily, being told someone would call me back asap, which never happened) to eventually get a temporary replacement pump. The temporary replacement provided was not a variable speed pump - just a basic single speed (noisy/power hungry), on/off pump.

After another month had passed, I contacted them again to get an update on when I'd get my replacement variable speed pump - I was advised they were having issues with their supplier and had a number of the variable speed pumps fail and were waiting on new stock from their supplier - they were due to be dispatched in batches over the next 2 months.

August 2022, I received an update advising there is a backlog of claims and the manufacturer is working hard to provide replacements. There has been no further contact since. I emailed them in April 2023 asking for an update (exactly 12 months after original claim). No reply from Theralux. Now another month has passed and I'm trying to decide whether to just bite the bullet and buy a replacement from a more reputable company.

Spa Shock/sanitiser in one – Started using Spa Shock sanitiser combined Theralux. No more itchy skin and the water is the clear. Have had my Oasis spa/swim spa for over 3 years and the cleanest I have ever seen. Going to get some enhanced minerals additives now with magnesium for an even softer water. Very happy.

Amazing Mineral Pool with Excessive Pricing – Updated Review (3 stars): After 3.5 years, some issues have become apparent - namely high pricing. The pool is fantastic. Theralux's pricing for replacements is not. Generic components do not fit. Theralux charges a premium for their products which can only be sourced through their network of pool contractors. A replacement cartridge cost us $285.… Read more

A replacement salt cell, $575 (required at the 3.5 year mark for us). Minerals are $100 a bag. As Theralux is still relatively unknown (and operates differently to MagnaPool), it's difficult to get useful information from local pool shops about maintenance etc. Disappointing that a system with such potential is let down by difficult and expensive service provision.

Original Review (5 stars): Just wow. After years of swimming and maintaining salt water and chlorine pools, we decided our new pool would be a mineral pool. We have the complete Theralux system - Theraflo pump, Theraclear cartridge filter and Therachlor sanitiser. The controller is easy to operate and the system keeps the water crystal clear. The pool feels like stepping into fresh water - there is no chlorine smell and no residue. We've been surprised by the system's energy efficiency. Cannot recommend this system enough for the ease of keeping the pool clean.
