Had my benchtop installed through Think Benchtops through bunnings three months ago I contacted them about a small crack i sent all the information they wanted and no response through Think Benchtops. I’ve been nagging. I was told last week someone would ring me back. It’s now Friday. I’ve contacted them today and apparently they’re out for lunch.… Read more

If this was a brilliant product you would disregard the poor business themselves. But I've had 2 cracks in 2 years. First one took 5 months for them to repair. I have now waited 6 months for them to organise repair again. They just don't care. DON'T BUY THEIR PRODUCT SOLELY DUE TO THEIR AFTER SALES (NON) SERVICE.

Stay far away from this company You will receive different coloured bench panels in your set. They will be unusable. You will then be asked to 'sand them back' to match each other Please save yourself a headache and don't buy

Absolutely the worse company to deal with for post installation issues. Terrible customer service, made several excuses that were disproven by Bunnings. Ignored tribunal correspondence. Would not waste any time or money dealing with them. Show details

Think solid – I purchased the black obsidian bench top for my kitchen and the beige brioche for my bathroom I love them both, been installed over 10 years now. The black has dulled so I'm looking at car polish maybe. Show details

Don't buy a Think Timber ThinkBenchtop – Poor quality timber and very poor after sales service. Timber fury and cracked 3 weeks after installation. No resolution offered. I expected more from this product due to the price point. Bunnings were unable to provide any useful follow up support and would not allow me to leave a product review on their website.

Very disappointing – Wait time 9 weeks When eventually arrived the island bench top looked like 2 completely different benchtops with a very distinct joining line. Looked cheap Waterfall sides were cut to incorrect size Sink size was also cut too big Only good thing we're quick with refund Show details

Avoid at all costs! – One week after installation the bench top has cracked. Still waiting 3 weeks later for them to even acknowledge my claim let alone fix the problem. Worst customer service ever. Show details

Worst service ever – DO NOT USE Think Bechtops - Avoid This Company - Over 3 Months Without a Kitchen Our renovation has been a nightmare due to this company. They abandoned our project, leaving us without a kitchen for over three months. They consistently fail to show up as scheduled, do not return calls, and provide no communication or follow-up. I can’t wait for the day they go out of business. Bunnings should terminate their contract with them immediately. Show details

Read this before purchasing Think Solid Benchtops – The benchtop has cracked twice in different places. The first crack was repaired after numerous emails. The second crack happened about 8 months later. I emailed again and this time round they chose to ignore my emails. The crack is about 16cm long and has started from a low stress radius. There does not seem to be an explanation to the cause, See attached photos. Show details

Simply the worst investment I made. Do waste your money – I was very excited to install the new kitchen, everything went well until I opened the last bench top and found that the color did not match the other bench tops or waterfall end. I tried through Bunnings (where I purchased it) to resolve the issue but after 2 weeks of waiting for a response I returned to the store to enquire what was going on.… Read more

The Bunnings instore kitchen expert eventually got to speak to someone at Think and after retrieving the original complaint basically refused the claim on the spot.

The reason they gave her was that there is a degree of variances in the color, and they cannot guarantee a match with a new pour or batch. Remember, all the bench tops were ordered on the same time so you would think that the color would be pretty consistent. But no.....

I called and tried to speak to a representative but was told that the person that dealt with complaints was busy and would call me back. I still waiting for that to happen but won't hold my breath.

I must also add that none of the samples in the store or the small take home samples had any white in them. As you can see in the pictures it looks like someone spilled a white liquid on the bench rather than be constant with the design or pattern.

I really don't know why Bunnings is continuing to support this company after all the bad reviews and poor service. If only I have done my homework, I would probably have gone a different way. Hopefully this can help the next person thinking of buying this product to reconsider. Safe the headache, spend your money somewhere else.

Sorry but the 1 star is generous

If your project is time sensitive, you may want to steer clear of Think Benchtops – We placed an order on Saturday 11 May 2024 based on a specified lead time of 7 to 14 days through Bunnings. 24 days later we followed up with Customer Support who informed us this product is actually on back order and the estimated delivery date is end of June, 7 weeks from order placement. Based on this delay in their supply, with no… Read more

notification of the delay and still no confirmed delivery date, we have cancelled the order.

I can't speak to the quality of their product, but if your project is time sensitive, it’s best to steer clear of Think Benchtops.

Beware – Appalling Customer Service. I would not recommend this company to anyone who wants a smooth transaction. After waiting 3 weeks for a check measure (which they charge for!), another week for a quote to arrive after chasing them relentlessly, then being told it was going to be 6 - 8 weeks before installation! Absurd. I cancelled my order, used… Read more

Poorly Installed – The installer said it was Think Benchtops that misaligned the measurements given on our benchtops. We ordered through Bunnings. I have not heard back from Think or from Bunnings. The installers refuse to speak with me and have told me to go back to Think. It has been six weeks and I have not heard from Think even though I have called a number of times. Show details

Do not believe their marketing hype – Echo all the other negative reviews. If I could give zero rating I would. You get sold on the "look" these think solid surfaces have, plus the "easily polished and repaired' claims. Bought through Bunnings. First Benchtop split on collection...suspect substrate too thin. They ordered me a 2nd one foc. This is used as island bench, not utility… Read more

area, yet after only weeks of very light use, appears very scratched and dull. Mine is 18mths old now. Especially bad appearance where natural light hits it. On Second benchtop, a crack recently appeared under the bottom edge. After 3 email exchanges with think benchtops, during which they were obviously trying to find any reason that I had not meet guidelines, they could only come back with "it's an impact crack"..i.e. blaming me. We did not "impact' that end of the bench, which is hardly used. Even though I am prepared to pay to get it fixed , the kitchen "installer" they put me in contact with has not bothered to reply. Do not believe anyone will come and fix and repair these benchtops. I wish I had read these other reviews first and will NEVER purchase this brand of benchtop again !!! They lost business because I recently installed two stone benchtops in the kitchen area instead, which I know will withstand kitchen use.

Simply the worst benchtops I have ever bought – Bought through Bunnings. Benchtops measured incorrectly although resolved during installation. After only weeks of very light use, the appear very scratched and dull. They never returned any of my calls. I had to fight with them to send someone out to inspect them. Bunning in my opinion were equally disinterested in resolving the matter, both… Read more

Awful quality, installation and customer service – Benchtop purchased via Bunnings. They claim to make to measure and hence measure onsite however it was incorrectly measured twice. There solution was to glue back parts that were cut incorrectly. You pay for a solid piece of benchtop yet what we got was a glued back one. The second time it came back 20 mm short on one side also and they didn’t… Read more

care. They had been paid and the customer service was appalling. No apology, no admit of fault and reluctance to fix the problem until I complained enough. Overall the benchtop looks dull, and joins are obvious. Also I don’t like how it looks underneath, looks cheap and like laminate. Don’t recommend.

Don’t waste your money – Purchased through bunnings as part of our kaboodle kitchen. We got timber benchtops, one of which is dented and not sealed properly. Think didn’t want to know about it, 6 months on and still waiting for somebody to even come look at it, photos were supplied but they have put it back on Bunnings to rectify even though it’s faulty workmanship. Can’t… Read more

do our splash back until it’s sorted out. A lot is said about a business the way they respond to customers with faulty products and this business is a disgrace.

Very poor quality – Bought Think bench tops through Bunnings, within weeks they were covered in scratches and look very dull. Putting a plate, or cup on it will result in scratches. Have contacted both Bunnings and Think several times and paid Think $177 to come out and look at them and got absolutely nowhere. I was advised by Think to use sugar soap to… Read more

buff them out which has made no difference what so ever. Think customer service is one of the worse ones I have ever dealt with, one particular representative just kept repeating" solid surface, solid surface, solid surface " during one phone call. The product really is not fit for purpose, a complete waste of money. Very Disappointing

Shoddy workmanship and product, low quality, high price – I recently had Think solid benchtops installed. A small area of less than 4 square metres, with few features but it cost $4,600. When I arrived home, the installers were just finishing and I asked about the shoddy appearance of the joins, poor matching of colour and patching, rough corners and some damage to a wall. They had quick, glib responses,… Read more

all of them unacceptable. So I emailed them and sent photos. They completely ignored me as did Bunnings. I have also used their feedback, saying I just wanted it fixed and that I would not growl at them, but they continued to ignore me.

Very poor quality – This bench top was recommended by the designer from Kaboodle kitchens (Bunnings) it was marketed as a solid surface, it is so far from that it is not funny. Within 2 weeks we had scratches on the surface, after voicing our concerns to the designer who was unaware of any issues to do with the product and asking our installer (a company affiliated… Read more

with Bunnings) his opinion, we then tried the Think company itself. After quite a bit of back and forth, I was sent a text stating Think bench tops are a softer surface designed to scratch. Nowhere on their website does it make reference to anything like this at all. If I had known this fact there is no way I would have spent over $7000 on what they say is a ‘top of the range’ product. Just walking past my kitchen last night, I could see so many scratches, and the entire surface is dull. Saving up my pennies, will rip this monstrosity out and get a quality bench top in its place. Picture is after 4 months of use.

Disappointing product – Had a Think Solid Benchtop installed through Bunnings, on an existing set of kitchen cupboards as the layout and doors were satisfactory. We settled on the solid benchtop, Bianco, thinking it would perform well. Its been almost a year since the installation and the benchtop is dull and scratched and looks ordinary. We didn't realise this was … Read more

Corian material as it doesn't feature prominently in the advertising material. Given the cost was comparable to Caesar Stone, $5000, supply and install we thought it would be a similar quality. After researching Corian and using our observations of our kitchen we now realise this product is low quality and why everyone hides it. Move a plate on the benchtop and its scratched. Very disappointed at having wasted this money, avoid these benchtops and go with Caesarstone or Granite. I wish I could get our money back and get a better product.
