Thursday Plantation Walkabout Insect Repellent

I'm confused as to why it has such high reviews on places like Chemist Warehouse and unfortunately I cannot return this product but fortunately it was cheap. It did not work at all. I am someone who does however attract mosquitoes but I have used other repellants in the past that it worked. this does not work. at least not in Australia.

It certainly worked for me in Port Douglas – We used it when playing golf, particularly early in the morning when the sand flies and mosquitoes are about and found that it was very effective. We will be sure to buy some more for next year.

Best ever repellent – Been to Samoa every year since 2000 and always used DEET products and I leave with red blotches all over body! Used this and it was amazing!! Problem was I only had 2 50ml bottles between my family of 6! I got this as a back up for our DEET based products... So now every year when we go back its this product from Thursday's plantatiom or NZ's Repel Ole spray! Both work wonders!

If I could give 0 stars, I would! Worst insect repellent ever! – I bought this product to use on a school camp in an area that has a fair amount of mosquitoes and other biting insects. I knew I would be applying insect repellent non-stop for the 5 days and I wanted to avoid the ones with DEET and other chemicals that can be harmful when used for long periods, so I thought I would give this a try. Worst decision ever! Within 2 - 3 minutes of applying the repellent, I had mosquitoes landing on me and biting me; it was as if the repellent actually attracted them! My legs were covered in bites from all sorts of tiny bugs. My advice is do not waste your money on this product as it does not work based on my experience.
