After initially having a frustrating experience with Tixel regarding a ticket I purchased that had unfortunately been sold twice — which meant my guest was unable to access the Ed Sheeran concert in Sydney — I left a negative review as I wasn’t able to resolve the issue through the standard online support channels. Shortly after posting my… Read more

review, a senior customer service representative from Tixel personally reached out to me to investigate the situation. They were very understanding, apologised sincerely for the experience, and promptly issued a full refund, which I greatly appreciated.

They also reassured me that the situation would be reviewed internally and used as part of their customer service training to help improve processes in the future.

While the initial experience was disappointing, I’m really grateful that someone took ownership of the issue and worked to resolve it properly. That level of accountability and follow-up is the benchmark of good customer service. Thank you to the team at Tixel for addressing the matter and making things right.

I was banned from Tixel after two sales occurred almost simultaneously across two platforms: a timing issue that anyone cross-listing tickets could face. The moment I noticed, I immediately contacted Tixel's support and followed their own cancellation process, which their help centre explicitly provides for this scenario. I had no self-serve tool… Read more

to remove the listing myself, so reaching out promptly was the only option available to me. Despite acting in good faith and following their process, my account was permanently restricted. I've since sent two detailed appeals explaining the circumstances and received the same templated response both times, with no specific explanation and no escalation offered. To make matters worse, I had successfully sold 4 other tickets through Tixel for which I had to actively chase payment. They held the funds after restricting my account and did not transfer them proactively. Having to fight to receive money I had legitimately earned added another layer of frustration to an already poor experience. My issue isn't with the policy itself, it's with how it was applied without any consideration of context, and with a support process that appears unable or unwilling to distinguish between deliberate fraud and an honest timing issue. If you plan to cross-list tickets on multiple platforms, be aware that Tixel offers no self-serve way to remove listings quickly, their enforcement appears to be automatic rather than case-by-case, and if your account is ever restricted, you may need to chase any funds owed to you.

My November 2024 DJ Carl Cox party – I am absolutely thrilled with this site! I was convinced I had missed my chance at tickets, but then a friend told me about it. I was a bit skeptical at first, but I decided to give it a shot—and wow, am I glad I did! This turned out to be an amazing way to snag tickets, and I encountered absolutely no problems. What a fantastic experience!

I<3Tixel – I Love Tixel! It’s a safe and sure way of getting access to the events you might have missed out on when tickets first go live! Without Tixel I wouldn’t have got to see top artists like FredAgain, Laneway festival and more. In some instances… I’ve even been able to get tickets cheaper than face value too as opposed to buying direct. The auto… Read more

buy function means you don’t have to sit and refresh pages which is great! And the platform itself means you never over pay for tickets so you have confidence you’re not getting scammed!

The only feedback I can give is that if you need more than one ticket on the auto buy function, it is not guaranteed your tickets are together but it’s all clearly highlighted before you set it up.

All in all, a great experience!

I've used this website a number of times in the past and had always had a good experience. However, when listing tickets this past weekend for a sold out show, I was informed that the tickets would be an immediate sell as there were folks on the waitlist. I filled out the forms, connected Moshtix, and hit the "Sell now" button. The UI indicated… Read more

the confirmation of the sale and I thought that was that.

However, a few days later I get an email indicating that the tickets had just been verified. Now, the email was dated for around the same time, but it went to junk and I didn't see it.

Turns out the tickets were not sold instantly, and there was no indication given that they needed to be verified first, nor anything in the website UI showing some processing was going on.

I reached out to support as I had just lost $200 and they said it wasn't their problem.

UPDATE: They have since reached out to me to follow up and offered to pay me $150 for the issue. We had a phone conversation where I walked them through the technical issues and turns out it was indeed a bug.

Bumped the review up to 4 stars, because ideally I wouldn't have had to escalate to get this result nor write a review to get the attention.

Seller still had access to original ticket – The tickets issued through tixel didn't work. Had to get the original seller to resend the tickets that apparently had been 'updated' 1 hr before the event, for some of my friends this meant waiting half an hour after multiple calls to the seller to get them to resend an updated pdf of the ticket. Why, would after having sold a ticket to someone… Read more

else, would they still have access to the ticket ? Why would the ticket not have been automatically reissued to the new purchaser like with other events? The seller could have just attended the event anyway and the buyer would have lost out. For a ticket reseller that says they're the only one to trust, this was worrying and I will be sceptical of using tixel in the future. It's just not good enough and not what we expect of tixel, having used tixel many times to buy and sell in the past and never had these issues or had to contact a seller or buyer directly. The whole point of selling or buying through tixel is that it's handled by tixel. This made our event experience stressful and just put a dampener on it. Disgraceful.

My Tixel experience – I have used Tixel in the past for ticket purchases and previously sold tickets on Tixel. Everything has been good and I find the service generally a great way to buy and sell Tickets to events. Recently I purchased tickets off a seller for a Coldplay concert which the seller listed the same tickets back on the official Ticketmaster marketplace. Of… Read more

course being a high demand event they sold very quickly on both Ticketmaster and Tixel. This was a mistake of the seller listing them on both websites but unfortunately for me I was not informed they had previously sold until 6 days after the purchase. I was then left with $2000 worth of flights and accommodation with no useable concert tickets. Tixel were quite helpful in the situation and eventually emailed me back saying the usual generic response (it goes against their policy etc etc and how this shouldn’t happen) and moved me to the front of their cue for more tickets if they came available. I ended up securing tickets to the Sunday night concert (originally booked everything to attend Saturday) which left me out of pocket Changing flights and accommodation.

A few points about my experience: 1) if you have issues relating to a purchase their is no number to call, it’s all via email. Their initial response to my email took 2-3 days so I’d hate to arrive at an event to be turned away and have absolutely no way of contacting Tixel about the issue. 2) just because you’ve purchased tickets it seems like they put their trust in sellers to also do the right thing. If this isn’t the case like in my situation it falls back on yourself (the buyer) to make arrangements regarding refunds of travel expenses etc. 3) there is absolutely no compensation for any of these situations so always be wary when booking accommodation or flights that you can infact change or refund them if required (lesson learnt for myself)

Overall I did end up securing tickets and they did seem like they genuinely wanted to help. They provided a quick refund for the original purchase. Although I was out of pocket and left a little stressed, I’d still be happy to use tixel in the future.

I used this site to sell a NBL Vs NBA ticket that I had purchased, as I couldn't make the game. I had a buyer within a week and after the event, the money was deposited into my account a few days later. It was very smooth. The only thing that would make it even better, would be if the money was transferred sooner. I had to wait 2 months for the event to come and go before being paid. I would use this site again for sure.

Overall good experience on Tixel – Tixel was straight forward and easy to use. However, the seller was not completely honest about the seats they were selling. We ended up spending more and were in a restricted area. Thankfully we were lucky to move closer to the stage and got to enjoy drakes concert. Will definitely purchase off Tixel again but be more mindful of sellers. Can’t fault tixel though

Easy to use and reasonably priced – Easy to get tickets with little fuss and decent prices. Purchased tickets 2 weeks before the event, came through nearly instantly and the previous owner even signed them over to me.

Please be very cautious when using the auto purchase feature. Auto purchase acquired two tickets on my behalf. After enquiring to tixel I heard back over a week later. They first said that yes I had auto purchased two tickets. After questioning this I was then told that the ticket purchase was processed manually. This was absolutely not the case.… Read more

I now have to resell the second ticket at a loss of all processing fees and am left uncertain if the tickets are even legitimate at all, if Tixel are so sure the tickets were purchased manually than perhaps my account was hacked and the site isn't secure which is an even bigger concern.

Tixel for some inept reason does the MFA/2FA only AFTER you've been refreshing hundreds of times for tickets and finally find some. Why wouldn't Tixel act link a normal company and do the MFA on the login, not when you finally find tickets. Others have complained about this too but they haven't done anything.. Ineptness at its finest.

Have purchased resale tickets for sold out concerts (AC/DC and Metallica) with no issues in digital transfer. Also sold a ticket to a concert recently when I was unwell and this was also a positive experience. Resale is capped which ensures fair pricing

tried to sell tickets for a concert with 36 hours to spare. After several attempts to send my receipt and tickets to Tixel, which I finally managed (after I found the original confirmation from last year) I was informed by automated message that the "event was in the past". It tried to make contact to correct that as there was still more than 24… Read more

before the event - and no the event had not been rescheduled. but the chat bot is responding to the issue. There is no way of contacting them and they now have my ticket and receipt. Hence I guess they are now free to sell my tickets how they see fit and I won't know about it... if so that would be stealing? I would not dare to sell via other channels now, as the person arriving at the door may be told that they had already been scanned in.....and I would look like a scammer who sold the same ticket to more than one person. really not good.

Tixel is great only if there are no problems with the tickets, or the seller. I purchased tickets for two for an event. I heard nothing from the seller, no matter how many times I tried contacting them. So then I messaged Tixel regarding a refund. You get an automated message back. They continuously repeat ‘contact the seller’, which I had done… Read more

with no response. The messages back from Tixel often say that they are having an influx of messages and they will eventually get back in time. When I finally heard back, I did get a refund for one ticket. I’ve messaged a couple of times to say I didn’t get a refund for two tickets. It’s been 3 days and I still haven’t heard back. While I got a refund for 1 ticket, I still don’t have a refund for both tickets.

Fast, simple but Tixel double dips charges. They charge to sell via their platform, they charge the user to buy the tickets and now, I have discovered, you have to wait until after the event before you can claim the money, they have already taken a cut out of, or be charged an additional 1.9% per ticket. Its muggy and scummy and I wont be using them again.

I booked a last minute ticket to fatboy slim last Friday in Perth, Never used tixel before and won't again, Got to the front of the line and was told my ticket had already been used, Lucky enough some nice lady had a spare ticket and offered it to me, my friends got in no problem, 50/50 your tickets going to work.

For a ticket reselling website that prides itself on being ethical, on the recent resale of two (2) ticket to a major event in Sydney it took seven (7) business days for funds to be released instead of the 3 they suggest is typical. And then I'm convinced that release only occurred because I escalated the request to Customer Service. Additionally,… Read more

once funds were released, they had to be manually 'withdrawn' and sent to my nominated bank account that Tixel already had on file. This step is totally unnecessary and reads to me that it has intentionally been setup this way to ensure that Tixel holds funds for as long as possible, perhaps indefinitely if customers forget to withdraw them. I will not be using Tixel again.

While I'm grateful for getting a refund, it doesn't take away from the experience of traveling all the way to the concert and having your purchased ticket be cancelled. If your considering buying from Tixel, I'd give it a miss.

Sold a ticket, I was under the impression I’d sell the ticket and then be done with it. The ticket was returned to me without warning about 6 months after I had sold it, I had no idea what was going on so contacted the buyer who asked me to transfer the ticket to a different email. Did that (with issues from the ticketing platform) only to have… Read more

now received another email from Tixel (one day before the concert) saying the ticket has been on sold and I need to recall it and send it to the new buyer. Too bad if I wasn’t available, or didn’t have phone reception (which is quite often) Totally painful process. Do not recommend at all.

Not totally secure – You can get a refund HOWEVER the seller may still use the original ticket! Bought tickets and came in late and the seller had already used the tickets. Terrible experience and couldn't get in--the process of getting a refund is also pretty arduous. Be aware if you buy using Tixel that although the tickets are legit, some people may try to… Read more

exploit you and use the ticket still (or sell to more people), hence if you do buy using Tixel always come early or don't buy at all! You can get a refund but imagine showing up to the venue and not having a ticket. Nightmare.

It's a security oversight that is somewhat hidden by Tixel's self-designation as an "official" selling site: it is NOT. If you show up to the ticket booth the venue can do nothing to help you. Consider buying from friends, family or official sites.

Never again, got scammed – Got scammed through tixel (laneway ticket had already been used when we tried to enter). It is way too hard to report the issue. Tixel shouldn’t be operating if they can’t prevent scam tickets being sold.
