was fine with that as they honoured the special price still. I received an email advising me of the delay, and was very appreciative of the phone number and to contact them if any questions message within, and then nothing for 19 days. I did contact them and at that time the item on back order had arrived and would be shipped either that day or next. I did ask at the time being a total novice what cables I needed, advised all I needed was in the boxes. Great. I live remote rural in Tasmania, and even though companies and businesses pay for home delivery if Australia Post is the courier it is very unusual to have any parcel left in my roadside box. These were large items understandably not able to be left, though it mean I had to drive in to my local town and get the three boxes. Which can be hard for those living rurally and not being home if we work in Hobart when the local post office(privately owned) is open. It does NOT open Saturdays and closes 17:00 M-F. Rural road side deliveries in Tasmania (and maybe all Australia) are done by contractors so service ie delivery to door is up to individual contract companies I guess. Even if I say leave in a safe location( on my front step is safe or in my car port is safe all easy to access).
When I went to set up recently I found that no connecting cable was in the boxes to connect the Cd Player to Amp. I did attempt to get one in Hobart from a JB HIFI, but after 45 minutes of not having anyone come to see me, even though two staff had paged people for me, or to have anyone say I'm with someone but will be with you next, I gave up. I phoned Todds Hi Fi, to see if they could ship me one. It turns out that it was meant to be in the box, and I had not received on. So I asked to get one, and as it had not been included by the manufacturer I was not charged. Todds Hi Fi staff I spoke with was awesome (as has everyone I spoke with on the phone. I was so amazed that they sent it EXPRESS and that it got to my area in an incredibly short time. (not always the case with EXPRESS parcel via AP in my experience. Sadly it was not left at my home and I again had to go into my local AP to pick it up. Thank You so much Todds Hi Fi.
My personal shopping experience is quite positive. They're a QLD family business and the main man (manager Bradd) is very helpful. Have bought over 10+ pieces of gear from them. Very good prices too.
Terrible – The order got canceled hours after i placed order successfully without any clear reason. This shop has zero customer care sense. "Order was canceled because of unforeseen circumstances and your payment has not yet been refunded"
I will never use Todds HiFi and they know it – just so that everyone knows, i bought from their Tingalpa store a TSP soundbar that has remained unusable 1st due to a complete lack of product knowledge, then lack of any service at all and lastly we found out that the actual product is suspect
Unhappy customer – I didn't think very much of the 2 salesmen that were working at the store on the morning of the 24th June. stereo that you are buying. Left the store and then went to JB Hi Fi where I spent my money and bought a hi-fi and the service was better. Maybe Todd's Hi Fi only want to sell you high end products.
Unbeatable Price plus Super Service – I was hunting around for a good bang for buck TV soundbar. Had my eye for a while on the Yamaha SR-C20A. So, I took the plunge given I was saving between $100 and $129!! Todds Hif-Fi added sugar on top by organising delivery super quick and safe from Tingalpa, QLD all the way to the Central Coast, NSW. The sound bar is a real beauty. Thanks heaps Todds Hi-Fi - see you've been in the biz for 60 years young and going strong. Keep it happening!
Their service and advice reminded me why I have bought hi fi through them for the past 12 years+ – Courier let every one down for express delivery to meet deadline for party. Manager put part in car and delivered it some ks involved. Saved from irate sister and wife. Show reply
Brilliant – Absolutely brilliant customer service. Shop was very easy to find in Tingalpa. Friendly, knowledgeable staff and as a bonus they have great parking too. I would highly recommend Todd's Hifi.
Great experience. My new go-to for audio gear – First time dealing with Todd’s. Sent a live chat message on the website about product availability. Got a near instant response and the product was in stock. James was super helpful at the store and I ended up treating myself to a few extra things and he did a great deal. Will be my first point of call in the future for audio gear.

Patronising and doesn't honor price guarantee – The ebay service is suspect. Shipment was slow. No invoice from them. Prices are low though which is the only good thing about them. They absorb shipping costs. Its a cheap cheap place but have no service so I'd probably think hard before buying from them again.
Extremely Poor Shopping Experience – I went to Todd's HiFi at Tingalpa when they had a sale on as I needed a new compact clock/radio/stereo for my bedroom & there was a Yamaha product that was perfect & I thought I'd give an independent retailer a go. didn't have the colour I wanted, but they assured me that their other store did & it will be over in the next day & being a sale I needed to pay for it then & there.
Well, a week later after several calls, STILL no item. They then said that they didn't have that colour at the other store & they will need to order it from Yamaha & it will take another week! At that point I told them to cancel the order & refund my money. I had to speak with a particular office person which I did but I was still stuffed around for another 3 weeks before I got my refund after various excuses!!
This was one of the worst shopping experiences I've had in a long time! After cancelling the order (still without my refund) I walked into Harvey Norman, picked one up & they had already beaten the sale price & took it home. Nice, simple & straight forward.
Needless to say I won't ever go back to Todd's HiFi!!!
