I would give 5 stars except whilst doing the scan it significantly slows down my computer system to the point where it is difficult to use anything whilst the scan is happening

explain & even sent email proof of canceling I got replies from different customer service reps each time. Then finally after several hours I finally got AV canceled & got my refund. Then it further get's interesting when ADBLOCK also stops working. Finally come to find out after purchasing ADBLOCK for 1 year @ 23.00 it will NOT function unless you also have a subscription to AV, which I DO NOT want. Now I have to fight to get my $23.00 refunded...which I'll probably just chalk up to a bad experience. Bottom line, ADBLOCK is great is great as long as you also want AV.

notification overlay telling me that TotalAV has expired, and I should click to renew. But I've deleted it! I've finished with it! The message comes up regularly and persistently. I need to click the X in the corner to remove the message. It may have been ok once. But every single time a web site loads?
It is more than annoying. This is the way a virus acts! Interfering with every activity on the machine. Not once. But every time I go to a new site. EVERY TIME!! Multiple times a session! I deleted it, remember? I indicated that I no longer want to interact with TotalAV. So, like a scorned lover, it has embarked on a campaign to get me to renew, stalking my every activity, and reminding me at every opportunity, that I "need to renew". In your dreams!!
And now I go to a site that I've been using forever, but may not have registered itself properly, TotalAV (which I've deleted, remember) "kindly" informs me that this may be some form of Dark Web site, and again, I should reactivate TotalAV to regain protection! This is less frequent as most sites are correctly registered. But why is TotalAV still lurking and stalking my activity in the background when I've deleted it?
For this reason alone, I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND TotalAV!

I already have a premium VPN, and a friend is supplying it for me, as it was licensed for multiple computers, so he had a spare space. I am not interested in your VPN. I can see the products you offer in the App. Please just clearly state which ones I have and which ones I don't. If I want a feature, I will get it. Please stop sending me pop-ups!!! This company is pathetic and has similar marketing tactics to Norton. One of TotalAV's marketing strategies is to send phishing emails. I would have let it slide, but my inbox has been besieged with up to ten emails a day. They usually take the form of a fake cloud storage notification, which then redirects to the purchase page. review on TrustPilot, but TotalAV went out of their way to remove the review. This signals that this company is intentionally attempting to target the technologically illiterate (children, elderly, etc.).
I have included in the pictures a sample of 8 typical emails that I have seen from this company. The links in these emails will all eventually redirect to secure.totalav.com, where you can purchase a copy of their software.

the billing practices , advance notifications and transparency if people want to trust this company again.
Follow-up · When you cancel it, they will give a discount for a year. But you need to put that in your calendar, check and cancel the for the following year, otherwise the rate will go up 100 to 300%. The usual renewal cost is 200 to 300%, unless you prudently cancel it. hidden fees- if you click twice, you are in trouble and you need to write them to cancel the duplicate licences. It will be done but time consuming.

The program seems to do the job ok but it does lose a star because of an annoying action. I have been getting blocked from accessing links in a subscribed email newsletter that I know is safe. There is no way of bypassing the block or reporting the fact that I believe there is a mistake. This needs to be addressed to get the extra star.
Follow-up · The problem with links to articles in safe newsletters that was happening from the installation has been resolved. Maybe someone read the review. The program is now functioning fully to my satisfaction and is doing the job on my HP laptop.

Downloaded total av, programme took some time to go thru all files, but installation was very through, so am happy with this security conversation of total av, hopefully this will give me confidence each time I log on knowing I have total web security back up from all scams.
I've used other brand leader computer security devices however Total AV seems to do a much better job in as much when I decided to purchase AV I had a message on my computer telling me I had 12 viruses, Total AV destroyed these before it was even fully installed.
I have been a Total AV customer for just over a year, having purchased use of most of their products and I am happy with my purchase as all of their software gas worked well to date.

to the account. Tried to reset the account but the two step verification would come 12 hours later at 1am, and seemed to have a set period to use as none of them would connect when I tried in the morning.
Went to the bank to stop the payment and they were unable to assist until the payment went through. This is again consumed another 2 days of my life.
The amount charged does not reflect the original offer amount ( I am serious about taking screenshots of any payment prior to processing, for this very reason). Total AV has consumed more of my time than their service is worth. Reason I discontinue as it did not seem to mesh with my 2016 macbook.
I have been using Malwarbytes ever since and works on Ipads, Asus laprop, Samsun A54 and the old faithful 2016 Macbook. Price for MalwareBytes is almost the same but the service seems second to none. Ony down side with the Malwarebytes is that it can consume band width for short periods of time but user interface is great.
I wish I could say the same positive things about Total AV but I can't. Considering the time spent dealling with the fallout and lack of response and as I consider my time valuable, they are the most expensive Virus software and VPN. Save yourself frustration before clicking, Accept Free Trial.

Will auto rebill at a huge markup even if you opt out and cancel, no phone number is available, the help centre has no refund option they just keep taking your money.
