Total AV

Internet research had TotalAV in the top 3 and I wanted a decrease in antivirus costs, so the 80% off made it an easy choice. Easy to pay for and to load.... but the Dashboard is very thin in info, there's a constant up-sell for more add-ons and we'll see how good the system is in the future. I find that my Laptop is extremely sluggish at times and it usually is when Total AV is doing something. I am not a guru with computers so i rely on what is provided when purchased and rely on the good grace that the product does what it says it will. I do hate the ongoing requests to buy more bits like ad-block etc.. Show reply

I have since discovered that TotalAV has charged me $842 in additional fees, including payments of $297, $129, $297 and $119. I was shocked to discover these charges, particularly as I no longer even use the computer on which the software was originally installed.

I have contacted TotalAV numerous times requesting a refund, but rather than addressing my concerns, they repeatedly send me a link to unsubscribe. They have failed to respond meaningfully to my refund requests or provide evidence of when and how I supposedly authorised these recurring charges.

I have specifically requested refunds of the most recent charges of $297 and $129, along with cancellation of any active subscriptions to prevent further deductions. Despite my repeated attempts to resolve this directly, I have received no satisfactory response.

What is particularly frustrating is that I originally signed up for a $39 offer, only to discover hundreds of dollars in subsequent charges for software I have not been using.

I believe I have been more than reasonable in giving TotalAV multiple opportunities to resolve this matter.

My advice to anyone considering TotalAV is to be extremely cautious about their subscription terms, automatic renewals and ongoing charges. Check your bank statements carefully, as you may be paying considerably more than you initially expected.

Based on my experience, I would not recommend TotalAV. The lack of meaningful customer service and failure to address my refund requests have been extremely disappointing.

is set up correctly to provide protection 24/7. I will be looking for a company with a better program next time. I have tried to contact Total AV to no avail.

I have been a Total AV customer for just over a year, having purchased use of most of their products and I am happy with my purchase as all of their software gas worked well to date.

Happy with service and security but I had also another Security firm available here where I live and I have paid your Total AV company as well as another Security company so in my next payment I will get the other security co to take up the further security and I will maybe come back lated to Total AV Thank you

had this for 2 or 3 years, been ok, had a debit attempt on a credit card (unauthorised?) by total AV this year, bank blocked it, not sure what the go was with that. Replaced PC with a laptop recently, not tech savvy so hoping your system recognizes that my subscription is valid until March 2027.

I would give 5 stars except whilst doing the scan it significantly slows down my computer system to the point where it is difficult to use anything whilst the scan is happening

I received an email this morning saying I had ordered at 7.25 am (impossible, I was still in bed asleep)an account from Total-Av for $487.69, account no. 0206675-8311 for 5r years Anti Virus. This order was NEVER made. I'm very annoyed that firms just impose bills onto people without their knowing or asking. The account is PENDING and my credit card has been locked to stop this amount being deducted from my account.

Tried to install the programme and after a long installation time, tried to pay the subscription. The site refused to accept my debit card details even though there are funds available and the card number is correct. Contacted Totalav support and it is obvious they did not read my message as the reply was useless, and did not refer to my issue.

I am irate & extremely annoyed - why was my credit card debited with AU$11.00 on the 8 sept., 2026 without my approval & what was this for??? My bank alerted me ????

Great protection, but it looks like one side of Total AV isnt talking to the other side, because it says in the home page that Total WebShield is ON, but there's a pop-up in the top right corner of the screen which says that Web Shield is out of date and not working.

I had my phone repairman tell me Total AV is absolute rubbish, full of Malware. Took him 2 hours to clean my Galaxy phone, and it cost me $149 to have it working properly again. Could not give this app anything positive. Be aware is my suggestion.

They should be called total rip off. I was in a laundromat trying too pay for my washing on my phone and ended up in a total av add i keeped press decline and it didn't work so i turned off my phone and took the washing out and went to another place to wash my clothes. When I got home they had taken $39 out of my account now they say it's legal and won't give the money back, so keep well away from this rip off outfit

Buyer beware...very suspect billing practice. After purchase both AV & ADBLOCK I wanted to cancel AV, but ADBLOCK is actually awesome. explain & even sent email proof of canceling I got replies from different customer service reps each time. Then finally after several hours I finally got AV canceled & got my refund. Then it further get's interesting when ADBLOCK also stops working. Finally come to find out after purchasing ADBLOCK for 1 year @ 23.00 it will NOT function unless you also have a subscription to AV, which I DO NOT want. Now I have to fight to get my $23.00 refunded...which I'll probably just chalk up to a bad experience. Bottom line, ADBLOCK is great is great as long as you also want AV.

Tried this app. Just try to cancel your subscription!!! Is there such a thing as a "legal scam" It's so bad my bank has informed me they are now AUTOMATICALLY stopping all direct debits/ payments to this company. Due to the sheer number of complaints/disputes from customers "trying" to get away from this company That should tell you all you need to know

The software is fine. However, they don't let you know before auto renewing it, once they have taken the payment only you get the bill which will be very high. It seems people are struggling with cancellation as well.. This company should improve… Read more

Downloaded total av, programme took some time to go thru all files, but installation was very through, so am happy with this security conversation of total av, hopefully this will give me confidence each time I log on knowing I have total web security back up from all scams.

Do not go with this company they deny all knowledge of you having an account with them even after sending them personal proof and still continue to take money from your bank!! My bank has had to block them and I've got to get a new card!! How they have got 4 stars on trusted I will never know!! Horrible vile company do not use!!!

Removal viruses and malware good. Cleaning unwanted files in time also to help with searching.

It all worked well on the desk top computer. But, I purchased the product to wok on my iPad. I have not been assisted with this task.
