=====BEWARE: Toyworld Fawkner is run by the RUDEST store manager - Such a Disgrace to Australian Retailers===== I visited Toyworld Fawkner recently, and it was the worst shopping experience I've ever had. This store treats customers like garbage! A. Meet the Villain: • A tall, white, light-golden-haired older woman with round glasses, a… Read more
permanent scowl, walks around like she owns the world. • ZERO customer service skills. ZERO respect. ZERO remorse. • If you ever run into her, prepare to be treated like a cockroach.
B. The Nightmare Experience: • I found two identical toys priced at $5.99 and $5.50. I picked 2x $5.50 and went to checkout. • Cashier Aiden (who seems okay) asked the manager for help. • Then the scowl-faced old woman with round glasses silently snatched my items, walked away without a word! • Leaving me standing there for 2-3 minutes, she removed all the $5.50 stock in front of me and acted like I was the problem, rudely saying: "I can take them away and I don’t have to sell it to you." • NO apology. NO explanation. NO respect for customers. Just pure arrogance.
C. Why This Store is a JOKE? • Disgusting business ethics. If you make a pricing mistake, OWN UP TO IT! • If they refuse to honor a $1 pricing mistake, imagine if it were a bigger amount?! What other dodgy things are happening in this store?! • Hates diecast collectors? Many Toyworld stores don’t enforce this woman’s fake policies. She makes up her own rules!
D. Why I'm Writing This? • $1 is nothing to me, but exposing this store’s unscrupulous practice is EVERYTHING. • This review is to raise awareness to all shoppers and toy lovers in the community! • If you've been mistreated at this store (especially by the scowl-faced old woman), REPORT TO ACCC. Repeated complaints will let karma find them.
E. Message to the Toyworld Official Retire this woman NOW before she completely ruins your brand reputation. If this keeps happening, Toyworld as a whole will suffer because of bad partners like this.
Great and fast service and unbeatable prices – I had a great experience I rang the store as I worried my order wasn't going to arrive before Christmas. The lady I spoke to dispatched my order right away and I received it in 3 days from qld to Sydney. I was very impressed I'd definitely recommend buying off them again. The toys I purchased were well below the prices at kmart. I got a real bargain. Highly recommend them.
Excellent prompt customer service – My order was waiting at the post office but I didn’t have the tracking card or number. Customer service online provided my order tracking number and replied to both my emails promptly, and then followed up again to make sure the issue was resolved and I had received my order. Thank you so much for your courteous and prompt service, it was much appreciated!
Toyworld Doncaster Don’t Go! – The owner is Rude, would mot offer an apology for providing incorrect information over the phone causing me to drive hours trying to buy an item for my daughters school project. Actually had an attitude when I was I store too.
Incompetent staff – Toy World Docklands, Melbourne. My son entered this store twice to return something I had bought for him. Before the initial purchase I had asked if ‘money back’ was an option. It was and no further details was added. He went to return the item without my card which it was bought on. They explained the money had to go back onto the card it was… Read more
bought on… this was not mentioned before the purchase! He went back with my card…. again this was still not enough as I had used my phone to pay and apparently it changes the numbers somehow on the exact same card. Again this wasn’t mentioned when he came in the first time. I asked my son to hand over his phone so I could talk to the sales assistant, I explained, quite frustrated at this point, that my son will purchase another item for a higher value… at this point she cut me off and said she had already explained to my son he could buy another item or get a voucher. I firmly said “I’m not interested in your suggestions, I’m telling you how to proceed..” and she hung up on me. At this point I had to explain to my son (who has a disability and find a verbal explanation difficult) how to exchange the item for a slightly more expensive item so a new card could be added to the receipt and then immediately ask for a return. The sales assistant I had spoken to had with pride said she had worked there for 14 years but I had to work this issue out for her. So to anyone who’s considering buying from this store I can without hesitation say - DO NOT SUPPORT THIS STORE as they are not interested in keeping their customers happy.
The only toy shop to visit – Great variety of Toys, great service. If you can't find the toy you want here, don't know where you will. Price of Toys very competitive. If you take the kids be prepared for a big day.
best shop ever – best customer serves ever polite stuff and even biter prices, i am always coming back to the shop with some money to spend. i feel bad to any kid that does not come to this amazing shop and my mum once even said that if she ever lost me i the super market she'll know where to find me.
customer serverice is crap – Purchased a remote control car from them. Car was still in good condition and had not been mistreated. It stopped working 1 week after the warranty period. Contacted them and all they could say was it is “well past the warranty time”. No sorry. No let me contact the supplier and see what I can do. No apology. Highly doubt I will use this company again.
Don't believe in consumer laws – I have purchased 3 remote control cars from Kawana Toyworld. They were worth over $500 in total. All have faulted. 2 with only a few hours use. Two of the cars the only response I got was "sorry there are no replacement parts for these". So what i just put them in the bin and you keep my money? Sounds fair. They other one the same parts… Read more
kept breaking and after a few visits for new parts I was told they should start charging me for repairs. They never ever repaired it, just handed me parts and expected me to figure it out.
Buy your toys elsewhere that actually follow Australian consumer law.
Doesn't know consumer rights! – On Sept 27 2016 I purchased from Toyworld Nambour a model boat kit of the HMS Endeavour for $363.89. Part way through construction I realized that a critical piece of the model as supplied was the wrong size. I took the model to the store showed them clearly what the problem was and asked for a replacement kit or a refund. They refused. Instead… Read more
they wished to treat the matter as minor and to offer to supply replacement parts. I don’t want this. The choice of action is not theirs in this matter but mine. I resent their attempt to infer that it was my ability which caused the problem rather than the incorrect part sizing.
