Really understanding, could not pay my account and they waived the one off payment as a one off good gesture as they understood high cost of living made it difficult to pay this one amount. very much appreciated.
We moved to our current address 6 MONTHS AGO, ever since then I have letters after letters of a former resident. I have continually kept sending them back to LINKT and yet they still keep coming. Don’t you (LINKT) ever read your mail.
I have been trying to contact linkt's messaging service for four days, but I haven't been able to get a response. I want the accounting errors on my latest statement to be corrected. After four days, they tell me they are going to charge me three dollars. However, the accounting error was made by them. They are asking me to pay in order to correct their own mistake.

What a disgrace - tried to charge $53.89 for going through the tolls in Brisbane only once (there and back)
Passes scam , Double charging, issuing invoices despite of sufficient account balance, Full toll charging with 80Km Zone etc.. When complain, then Deal with ROBOTS , they know nothing except giving imposed & one-sided rules and mental torture. I cannot believe that a major toll company is looting its customers like this. If it happened once, it… Read more
could be called a mistake, but since it is happening again and again, and system has not resolved it after weeks and weeks, i would call it a theft.
Scummy company tries to screw out any toll users. Toll tags randomly malfunction, and you have to troubleshoot it, go through their unclear website to pay for avoiding extra fee. Feels like this company's teamed up with some departments to get as much as they can from residents. Toll should be simple. You go, you pay, done. Yet, this company… Read more
make you spend time signing up for different levels' accounts like an intrusive ad company. Yet, I have to bring this stupid tag with me, not knowing if it's battery dry until it's not beeping then I have to go through all the headache.
P.S. They also charge "video matching fee" for tagless vehicles, make things complicate, create more e-waste. I call this b.s. in 2026.
They state that you can pay a trip 50 hours or so after the trip you make. I have attempted to pay for a trip on the linkt site and they constantly bring up an error message which reads “something went wrong we will be back soon” preventing me from paying for my trip. This is their way of ripping consumers off as if you can’t get through to pay… Read more
for your trip within a short timeframe, you incur a $20 admin fee for a $5 trip. These people think Australians are brain dead.
Maria Sancha was a terrible customer service agent. Each reply from this agent had me waiting for an average of 5 minutes. Something that should have been simply resolved within minutes took me 45 minutes on the chat, and it's still unresolved. Linkt is charging me for a motorcycle that's already registered in my account, and now they're forcing me to pay overdue fees.
These people are a complete scam. They charge my account for the trip I travelled and also sending me the notice to pay. When I asked, they told me to send the email but they didn't respond. when I raised complain on online no respond. I asked them a proof of travel but they didn't They keep sending me the notice when I already have etag. … Read more
They don't send me the evidence of the travel. They have no one to contact, only chatbot. They send to debt collection. This is absolutly big scam in Australia.

Terrible website set up for you to not be able to pay tolls within the allotted time period.
Follow-up · Just need a box to enter your Rego details. select any dates. and Apple Pay to pay… simple.no app . No other details required. You make it long winded. And total user unfriendly.
got caught on a toll road i always avoid them but a new gps i checked thaat night and the next no tolls showing than 2 weeks later get an invoice in the mail for $14.72 toll $3.29 the rest admin fees go back to toll booths or give it up
Follow-up · i made sure the gps does avoid them i will not use their roads
Received great service from Linkt Melbourne when notifying them that my e-tag had stopped working. I contacted them twice and received helpful, polite and friendly service. I’ve received my new e-tag today, thank you.
Follow-up · Very happy with customer service at Linkt.

Yesterday I became aware that the tag on my wife's car wasn't working. This morning I went to the Linkt web site and it was so easy to verify this and to arrange for the replacement tag to be sent to my address. Also they automatically indicated the additional fee for "no tag" would be refunded.. Well done, Linkt !!!
I had a problem with toll invoices going to the wrong address over a long period so they were unpaid. I called to explain the situation and all the fees were waived. The operator could not have been more helpful and understanding in this instance. I cannot praise the customer service highly enough.
Perfectly reliable – I originally got my Linkt e tag around 15 years ago when I liven in QLD and used it mostly for the Gateway Bridge. Then I moved to NSW and used it maybe six times a year. Been faultless. I can't understand all the negative reviews, maybe from regular commuters. However I live on the Mid North Coast and, as in QLD I use it for the odd trip to… Read more · 1
Sydney and about three times a year for the good old Gateway when I visit family and friends in QLD. Last year the tag only beeped intermittently so I ordered a new one to avoid number plate recognition charges, the new one arrived promply so back in business.
In my case Linkt has been dead reliable.
Negative reviews
I paid 2 amounts today to pay for outstanding amount and it put my account in credit of $33 and i called them to try and transfer a invloice of $22 to my account and they told me it would put my account in negitive $11 . dont knowwhat school they went to. then they manualy changed my account to ballance of $10 .
A 0.1 Star for you. Why is the site down today and also yesterday when I want to pay a toll? How can one pay a toll? Terrible and incompetent, But a monopoly! What can one expect from a monopoly? Nothing. Certainly not decent service.
$20 for a mis-read on a tag is ridiculous. Transferring the invoice to an account still incurs $2.20 fee - WTH! This is their issue - not mine - a waste of time and basically THEFT in day-light!!!

Continual problems with direct debit for my account. have been in contact with LINKT and their response is that it must be my credit card - have made contact with my bank and no problems from their end. have tried to add my debit card without success. i can't even edit my payment details
I rang Linkt to delete the old unused company name that is on our tag account. There was no query that I might not be who I said I was as my personal name and phone number are on the account. All I wanted to do was take the company name off the account and leave my personal name there. All other details of the account remained the same… Read more
including the same automatic direct debit from my credit card account. To do this simple thing, I was told I would have to cancel that account, send the tags back, have new tags sent out and reset my automatic payment options online. Why would all that be necessary? Linkt is not only setting bad relationships with me the customer but also making work for its employees. Passing strange!
Platinum level woeful. They have no competition and there’s no recourse. Their mission statement appears to be to drive you to self harm. Try to pay a toll - trying to hand them money - no, my email is in use with another account (so what?). Try to log in. Can’t reset the password. Have contacted Linkt over 10 times in the past month about multiple fraudulent charges they made to my account regarding trips I never took, while my car has been immobile. They have my direct debit AND card details and hit me with so many extra fees that are inapplicable. Dishonesty charge when my account has my entire rent money is insane -… Read more
their bank’s failure and THEIR DISHONESTY - the public shouldn’t have to pay for their dishonesty. There is NO customer support in writing. They want everything on the phone, may I suggest it is because they want to to avoid a paper-trail?! They say having an account will save you money in fees but please take this as a kind warning - you’re best off paying before you make a trip only. Please please, for the sake of your finances check upon what exactly they’re taking from you. It’s excessive. Hope they get better someday. Disgusting.
Linkt has perfected the art of highway robbery-quite literally. A $3.30 toll somehow became a $19.43 invoice. That’s a 5x penalty fee slapped on top of a charge I genuinely tried to pay. I searched their website multiple times to find the toll and pay it proactively. Their system either couldn’t find it or the website was down entirely. Then,… Read more
without any warning or grace period that actually works, they hit me with an invoice fee that dwarfs the original toll by nearly 500%. This isn’t an administrative fee — it’s a revenue model. Linkt’s website is notoriously unreliable, yet they’re perfectly reliable when it comes to issuing punishing invoices the moment their system fails you. The entire structure is designed to trap motorists: make it hard to pay voluntarily, then profit massively when you can’t. All of this during a cost of living crisis, where every dollar counts for Australian families. Linkt is not a public service — it’s a toll-collecting machine with government-backed enforcement powers and zero accountability. Our elected representatives have had every opportunity to regulate these invoice fees and rein in this blatant gouging. They have done nothing. Meanwhile, Linkt continues to exploit the very road users who have no choice but to use these tolls. If you’ve been hit with the same treatment, lodge a complaint with the ACCC and your state’s toll ombudsman. Don’t let this become normalised. Shame on Linkt. Shame on the politicians who let them get away with it
$84.29 Toll charged again the car rego number rather than it being charged to the tag. Car rego number ****** and the tool tag ************ are already associated on the linkt website. number. Issue is with Linkt not reporting the combined toll charges for the (car rego+ associated tag) to service nsw. Linkt need to report the combined toll charges (for the tag as well as the car rego) for the entire quarter and the claim need to show up as $401.28 + $84.29. Toll tag is a device provided by Linkt itself and its entire operation or malfunction is the responsibility of Linkt itself. If Linkt is not reporting the combined amount poroperly for "service nsw toll relief" then they are causing financial loss to toll users.
I have already tried reaching your helpdesk multiple times by now but it is clearly exhibited that links people do not have any intention to rectify your own mistakes and are in full intent to cause financial loss to toll users.
Worst IT / toll system I've *ever* used. I visit Queensland a few times a year in my motorhome and every single time it's the same problems with Linkt when travelling via Brisbane. My journey doesn't appear on the system even the day after travel, yet I'm warned I must pay within 3 days. How?! My previous account was deleted after a few months… Read more
of inactivity - no warning, no notification. What website just loses your account? I had to set up a new Road Pass and enter my debit card details all over again, still with no idea what I actually owe because the system can't show me.
The whole experience as a visitor is like a game of whack-a-mole trying to avoid a toll. After being stung last time (~$40 for two minutes in a tunnel!), I actively tried to avoid tolls this trip - but with traffic and lane changes it's not always possible. Aggressive signage everywhere warning of penalties, yet the platform behind it simply doesn't work.
I spoke to a telephone operator who assured me it would be fine. I'm acting in good faith. But this system is not fit for purpose, especially for visitors who don't use it daily. Looking at the other reviews here, I'm clearly not alone.
1 star is generous because the system behaves like a scam site trying to get you "you have three days to pay...but you have 10 mins on the last day to try and pay".

Absolutely pathetic service and Bot control contact system clearly designed to totally discourage complaints. Couldn't even admit to overcharging and then couldn't even give me the courtesy of letting me know they had finely corrected their mistake and reversed their overcharge. It took more than 20 messages to fix a $6 overcharge. Really pathetic
There is no possible way to leave no stars, as 1 implies that they MAY KNOW what they are doing as a business.
