I have had a very bad customer experience with LINKT. I am presently in the process of seeking an alternative supplier.

Yes, I was nowhere near toll roads the night in question, and I even have video footage of my car in my driveway. And yet, they're also charging 'video matching' fees! What an absolute joke. These guys are scamming Australians, and should be investigated urgently. Please report to scamwatch.gov.au

If you just continually waste their time on the phone they will eventually cut their losses. Call the resolutions australian team. they are actually more evil than the Philippines team but all good. They understand when to cut their losses if you continually play games with them, like they do to us, have fun with it, dont get angry just be a massive smarta$$ Just keep calling in. Works for me every time. Sometimes they do get very arrogant and stubborn and often disrespectful But if you play the long game they definitely fold.

Say for example if I do call them and told them I'm not going to pay, how does one confirm that the case is/will be dropped? Just wanting to be safe, and not have them come back at me after 10 yrs with a lawsuit. What do you mean "drop"? Will that be forfeited?

What I mean is that I say ill pay my bill but I will not pay the invoice fee as it is barely legal. They usually always let me off.

Sorry, but have no idea how long this will take. Given everything I have been told, your best bet is to keep calling them, otherwise they will just sit on it and do nothing.

Because they can blatantly gouge motorists with full protection from the Government who sold our roads to this private company along with providing them access to government debt collection services to ensure they get the dough.

No refunds are not easy but you need to push it anyway. Jump on their website and write a complaint. Youll be allocated a person which is easier than dealing with the muppets on the phones. They are a terrible company!

Their whole system is a glitch! Yes what was happening was you would be charged their "suggested amount" rather than the amount you wanted to be charged. Happened to me twice so now I only put credit on my account for the specific amount I'll need when I plan to travel on toll roads.

This has happened to me as well. Incredibly frustrating! The amount I entered would have covered my bill and put me in credit. But it took the amount "they" suggested. I called them and asked them to transfer back the remaining money they stole. But then they kept saying that was what I owed. When I said I wanted a statement of all my trips to justify the amount I supposedly owed, they couldn't come up with it. I HATE this company! It has caused us nothing but problems. I ordered a new tag as well because we were getting charged 'matching fees' and guess what the new tag doesn't work either (and yes we put it in a different spot). I just avoid the tolls at all costs otherwise it comes at our cost.

Definitely happened to me. I used only top my account up enough to cover the tolls I planned on using and somehow it was never enough. Likely because they double charged multiple times for god knows what reason. Also told me I had a faulty tag, which wouldn't have been obvious given the tag beeped the correct amount of times when I would cross. Now I refuse to use Toll roads except to go to Brisbane airport and I again make sure I'll only top up what is required for me to cross the bridge. Seems that toll keeps rising!

Depends where you’re at and time of flight and how you’re travelling tbh If you’re in city then you’re better off taking the citylink in taxi or Uber

Rick, I beg to differ. I would rather have my journey last an extra 10 mins than use the Citylink. There is one point on the M2 where the speed limit is 100km. It is not needed here and Melbourne drivers at the best of times pose a threat to you if you ever have the audacity to change lanes or miss you turnoff. And I was in a hurry the other day and there was a tram in front of us. And what did everybody want to do - overtake it when they could. They are total nuisance.

Yes you can use e-way in Queensland. In fact you can use it in most states. But check the E-way web site first. I have successfully used E-way on Queensland toll roads.

Most tags work on inter-state toll roads. Best to check direct with your provider. If it's Linkt, suggest you consider using a reputable organisation like E-way, Eastlink or any other Australian toll provider EXCEPT Linkt. I read nothing but bad reviews.

Of course there is a Linkt option that covers you for all tolls nationally - each state in Australia. Well bad reviews there may be, but we have no choice here.

Other tag providers are E-way (www.tollpay.com.au) or RMS (https://www.service.nsw.gov.au/transaction/open-e-toll-account). If you are looking for one that provides good value for money and fantastic customer service I would go E-way. At least when you call them they are based in Sydney and nothing seems to be any trouble.

We went with Eway to avoid the monopoly that Linkt think they have!

If you are in Melbourne you can open an Eastink Account. This covers all tollways in Australia and there are no credit card surcharges. Also, a call centre based at Ringwood.
