Tried to leave a review on Trustpilot today like I always have in the past. Unable to log in using email, Facebook or Google account. Have treied different browser, computer etc. Always get "Something went wrong. Please try again." What a joke. Not even any help I can find to find out why. to unblock the kitchen sink drain, which I immediately declined, as I had quotes from other plumbers, quoting $200-450 max (with camera and water jet). But because the technician was already there, I asked whether there was a cheaper option, and he suggested using a chemical treatment, he said it was much cheaper option. I agreed to the chemical treatment believing it was a much cheaper alternative. I did not see or knowingly approve a $720 quote before the work was carried out.
Only when I came home and opened my emails, I saw the email from S&J Plumbing and Gas, with the quote! - apparently the technician emailed me the quote when we were onsite, but did not tell me about it! I did not open, read or approve that emailed quote. Instead, while onsite, the technician presented me with an IPad showing a blank screen with a place for me to sign. The $720 price and quote were not displayed to me on that screen. I signed without understanding that my signature would apparently be treated as acceptance of a $720 quote that I had never seen (minus $89 first customer discount the Company advertise on their website to fool customers into paying super high charges they have).
The actual work took 12-15 minutes (I have prove that it was not longer than that), and the technician was off at 15.03pm. The technician used a plunger and poured one bottle of chemical drain treatment down the drain! That was it for $631 - there was no water jetting, mechanical drain cleaning or camera inspection, the basic non-urgent job during business hours.
Had the technician clearly told me, “This chemical treatment will cost $720,” I would never have agreed to it**, particularly after I had just rejected the $900 jetting option because it was too expensive. After seeing the quote, I contacted the company immediately after discovering how much I had been charged. The admin lady told me that she will report my concerns and my request for the charge to be reduced and a partial refund provided. Ok, I have made an error engaging S&J, but why I have been charged at the higher end of this company price list for 30minutes of technician's time and bottle of chemical liquid? The admin lady said that S&J charges for unblocking drains are from $500-900. So to me the fair (but still inflated) charge for this service would be $500-$89=$411. Still this is far more expensive, comparable to other plumber, who quoted $200- $450 (the top tier is for using jet and camera)
The admin lady has said that a manager would call me back. I have now followed up three times and no manager has called me back.
After this experience, I have read other Google reviews for this Company - I wish we had read those reviews before calling S&J! - multiple customers reporting concerns about very high charges for relatively simple jobs, and also reporting that no one calls back when they complain.
We are now putting the dispute in writing and, if it is not resolved, intend to lodge a complaint with the Queensland Office of Fair Trading.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company, stay away.

immediately rang Oz design and sought a full refund as we had no confidence in the quality of the chairs upon removal from boxes and our inspection. We sent email to OZDESIGN customer care on 17th March with all the pictures they required for review. After numerous phone calls and emails, they offered a partial refund /store credit on the chairs in email dated 22nd March totaling $360 of which we rejected. We engaged Fair Trading and they advised us to return the goods to supplier which occurred on the 22nd of May at 6:36pm.Fair Trading advised us by email 27th may that all attempts to engage OZDESIGN had been unsuccessful and to seek further assistance elsewhere namely NCAT.we sought to have chairs returned several times hence the lag in timeline between delivery and final pickup on their part after multiple excuses once again on their part. (Email evidence is available x 59 in total).OZDESIGN Customer Care indicated in several emails that a full refund would occur once the chairs were returned to their Sydney warehouse which should have occurred the next day i.e., 23rd May we would suggest only to be told on 7th June some 16 days later when inquiring once again where the refund was up to and was told in email that the courier had not taken the chairs to warehouse, and they could not issue a refund till chairs had been delivered which we were now told would be taken to warehouse by 9th June COB. Despite being advised that the issue would be resolved by COB on 2nd June. It‘s been excuse after excuse for 3 months and been dealt with by 5 different Indvidual ‘s over that period with no progress on the full refund and in my final email yesterday i advised OZDESIGN that we would seek NCAT support. We are not understanding as to why this company has lied and been deceitful constantly in our dealings and we have also made it quite clear that this issue has had an impact on our health. We had contacted the store directly yesterday where we purchased chairs in a final attempt to recover monies and the manager at Kotara store was very surprised and sympathetic to our issue and she was also investigating as to why there was a delay in chairs being delivered to warehouse and subsequent full refund.Kotara manager was unable unfortunately to give us a full refund as the sales transaction was a bank direct debit transfer and not an Eftpos sale and would have to be managed by accounts section of OZDESIGN in Sydney. UPSHOT: 82 emails, numerous phone calls and 4 months later issue was resolved with a full refund back into our account on 23rd June 2023 one week prior to NCAT tribunal hearing set down for 4th July 2023. be very wary of this business as they quote the terms and conditions on the sales docket as being legally binding but we had not signed it so it was void and they knew that right from the outset!! DO not sign for goods on delivery until you have inspected the items for defect's / damage and reject the delivery outright. THEY will hang onto your money till the last minute so as to gain maximum interest on your money.!! NEVER AGAIN WILL WE DEAL WITH OZDESIGN FURNITURE. (Cheap imported rubbish despite being queried at point of sale as to the origin of the furniture and its quality prior to purchase!! quality furniture on display contrary to delivered final product!!! The item was a gift! But is faulty and the manufacturer has refused to fix it despite diagnosing and confirming there is an issue with the product.
I always thought trustpilot were a reliable source but obviously that's not the case and I didn't realize businesses pay a subscription so that way they can remove negative reviews.
Edit: and they deleted it, so businesses can literally just pay for a subscription and trustpilot will delete negative reviews for them. What a scam.

Trustpilot’s subscription plans.
While I understand that platforms need revenue and moderation processes, the way these events occurred made me feel pressured toward upgrading to a paid package in order to keep legitimate reviews visible. This experience has left me disappointed and questioning the fairness and transparency of the system.
I hope Trustpilot will address these concerns and provide clearer, more reliable processes for handling authentic customer feedback, regardless of whether a business is paying or not like Google maps.

emerged that the tracking number was an actual scam too. I've attempted to retrieve my money but am still waiting for a response. Biggest lesson learnt "if it sounds too good to be true, it very like is."
Follow-up · Yes, I did contact my bank but they didn’t achieve anything. I had unfortunately used Apple Pay. Never again will I use this on an online purchase. Had I used Pay Pal I think that I could have done better in attempting to retrieve my money. Sadly, I’ve just had to put this experience down to prize paid for a learnt lesson!
Do not allow honest reviews – They support scam companies and take down your honest review. Keep asking for more details when I have already supplied them both to Trustpilot and the company in question.
Follow-up · They still ask for proof and even when it’s sent they take your review down. Very disappoint as many go by this site to be able to trust buying online. I won’t be buying online if any well known company with a good reputation or better yet I’ll go in store, it’s not worth being ripped off.

Trust pilot is just a s trustworthy as Product review – I've been using both Trustpilot and Product review and they both have their flaws, the major one I've found with Product Review is that whilst they claim not to allow employers to take down negative reviews. I've had multiple reviews be stuck as "Pending" for years on end with Product Review. I'm dubious about both sites, I hope that this is a bug.
My decision to go ahead was based on Trust -Pilot reviews – On the strength of Iron-Bits reviews posted on Trust Pilot, I invested 2k in Iron-Bits, a company that turned out to be as fake as the reviews they posted on Trust pilot. In reality I would have been better off if Trustpilot didn't exist. Even now with Honest reviews mixing with Iron-Bits Fake reviews it must be confusing for some. Cheers Graham

They are well balanced, and I have read countless poor and good reviews on Trustpilot with a good degree of accuracy (both good and bad) about the companies. I could not confirm anything or respond to anything from that old address because the email address does not exist any more. 14 emails down the track, no matter how many times I told them that, they insisted that they had sent many emails to the old address and that I did not respond to any of them so they could not do anything to change the address. Of course I couldn’t respond and, each time, I explained why they just did the same thing. They just did not understand that responding to them was not possible from a non-existent email address. I asked them time and time again during those 14 emails to sent their emails to my new address so that I knew of their existence and I would respond from there. They refused to do it, pressuring me to respond from my old address. By this time I could see it was useless keeping this up and that I might be dealing with an AI system that was not programmed to deal with simple email address changes, so I closed my Trustpilot account. People, before you consider opening an account with this difficult organisation, think twice, because, if they can’t effect a simple change of email address for customers and insist on responses from non-existent email addresses, then how can a user communicate sensibly with them about anything else?

system at scale, and Trustpilot's detection tools simply can't keep up. When every dodgy operator can manufacture a 4.8-star reputation overnight, the ratings mean nothing. The cruel irony is that a review platform is now the thing that needs reviewing — and failing. When you can't trust the reviews on a site built entirely around trust, the whole premise collapses. Sad, because the idea was a good one. But good intentions don't survive bad incentives. Use Reddit, ask friends, or dig into forums instead. Trustpilot in 2026 is a graveyard of credibility dressed up in star ratings.

junk. They don't work, the seatbelt buckle does not even clip into them. They are a scam. After many emails to them asking for my money back, they have now resorted to asking me for a video of how my product doesn't work. I then googled Premier Trust Store and sure enough, they are a scam. After you complain enough and they realise you are not going away, they simply stop replying, happily keeping your money while you are left with junk. My advice is to never buy anything from these people and from now on, I will google everything before I buy. It's a shame Facebook and others accept their advertising.

chose the colorful and shiny easy route. It does not prioritize honest reviewing. It's not a far stretch to assume that they're flooded with obviously fake reviews. Enough for companies to screenshot those fake reviews and paste them onto their morally grey business model's homepages, in order to trick clients (who are on the conveniently paved and easy to traverse marketed pathways) into thinking they're not being marketed to.
It's big corporate handshake and nothing less.
